Rockstar Games will never make another Manhunt

Not sure if Rockstar Games will ever make another GTA, at the rate they're going.

 

GTA Online is a never-ending cash cow, so it's not obvious that a single-player story mode GTA has any place in the gaming universe any more. But I'd be happy to get a new city map, every ten years or so.

There is going to be another GTA but I clearly understand your comment buddy.

Be careful about saying stuff like that, you might catch hell from all the white knights here that live by a code & "don't harm the innocent".

Can there be a thread that shows the animals that GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 have, like a comparison table. And from the trailer and pics we already know hunting will be big thing, there is dual-wielding and Human shield (possible).

I'm going to pick this up on PS4. Simply because I enjoy the controller more. But If and when it hits PC I'll pick it up on that.

 

Anyway, what I liked about RDR was each act was basically a genre of western films.

 

Act one was your standard John Wayne film. Bill Williamson is your basic John Wayne movie villain. Big and stupid, and in the end everyone pulls together to defeat the gang.

Act two is a Sergio Leone spaghetti western. Centered around a revolution in Mexico. The hero is playing both sides against each other to get his goal. He couldn't care less about what is going on and just finds himself caught up in the middle of it all.

Act three is a revisionist western. It touches on key themes like encroaching government control, native American issues, and morally grey areas. The bad guy is bad, but the good guys are just as awful.

 

Just random musings.

Is anybody else afraid of getting too much information on the game? For example, more info on the story or anything that would possibly spoil the game? Besides the gameplay which virtually everyone wants. I know I can't wait to see it!

 

If I know too much of the game, I feel like it would somehow ruin the experience. I want to figure the game out as I play it, not before it comes out. Then it's like "Oh I already know about this part of the game." After Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out as you play it. I don't mean that I'd rather know nothing, but a little bit of mystery makes the game more exciting to finally play. At least for me it does.

Same here, ill watch the gameplay trailer and that will be it, I heard that the first mission of the game has been revealed, so im not gonna read up on that! GTA Vs opening was a nice surprise.

I scrolled down the comments and someone said that the first mission is potentially a heist, id say he thinks the first mission is the blackwater botched robbery, tbh some of his vids are a bit misleading but didnt want to watch this in case it had potential spoilers.

The first mission will probably be Arthur, Dutch and a bunch of random outlaws and what lead to the Blackwater Massacre. After that the game will focus on bringing together a new gang of old and new faces.

 

As for me. Probably starting in October I'll go dark on forums and comment sections.

Just watched it and no it doesn't contain spoilers its Rockstars official quote about the start of the game so its all confirmed information. He talks about the blackwater and its link to 1899 in Red Dead 2, makes sense. Its not a bad video but I agree I wouldn't want to watch it if it had major spoilers, I think hes just informing people.

 

I've seen a few of that guys YouTube videos, I think he's turning out to be an honest guy in the community... Im a little skeptical about it because of other YouTubers that cover GTA V but you can tell this guy actually knows his Rockstar Games titles. Also he doesn't click bait that much from what I can see, he uploads videos about individual confirmed features and backs them up with good editing and proof so no red flags here for me... I must say he replies to allot of comments too by the looks of it, would be nice to see if he kept that up, seems like a cool dude!

Yeah, Rockstar DID state themselves this is how the game begins, maybe its not OFFICIALLY the FIRST MISSION but it gives us a pretty cool idea of how much action we can expect to see! Cant wait!

I hear allot of talk about LegacyKillaHD being this and him being that.. The only difference between him and other smaller channels is the fact

that he has 200k subscribers, if he didn't have that amount of following everyone's opinions would be totally different. Not entirely, but allot more than what they are at the moment. I personally like exploring smaller channels with potential for the future.

In my opinions LegacyKillaHD doesnt actually know allot about the Red Dead Series, he actually was pretty much brain dead in his live review of the 3rd trailer, he also clearly has to write down his opinions and read off a script and has minimal input of his own.

 

Other channels out there put allot more ideas in, emphasis on different outlooks and I feel like LegacyKilla is over rated for what he is worth, after all he just reads news about games... I dont forsee him being reliable without this website at all!

Probably. The scene with Sadie stabbing a guy at the bar is probably where you recruit her. John probably wasn't at the Blackwater Massacre since he doesn't mention it. I think he might be in a bit of retirement given Jack's birth and after Blackwater falls through Dutch's gang goes to Beecher's Hope to lay low/get his help. Which causes John to get dragged back into the gang.

Looks like John on the far left. This scene might be set early in the game, as what's left of the gang hides out in the mountains during the winter (intro according to the map)

Only ever watched him because he was the first name to pop up. But in all honesty 90% of his RDR videos not based around new info is him just speculating about nothing and talking in circles. Also he seems to have issues with common (or so I would think) American words. His pronunciation of Sioux, Cheyenne, and Coronado withstanding.

I really hope stranger missions/dynamic events make a return, but on a larger and more varied scale. I know the previews mentioned blurring the lines between main and side missions, so hopefully they didn't just do away with these small scale missions.

Well its like I've said before. Either the rest of the gang is locked up/dead, or MIA in South America. Bill and Dutch where operating in America and the government wanted them taken out. Javier was just across the border but the government felt taking him out would serve two purposes. 1: captured a member of Dutch's gang. 2: show that the long arm of American law can get you wherever you go. Couple this, with some good old fashioned American interventionism to destabilize Mexico again and well you see the point.

 

But if Arthur and some other gang members are hanging out in South America the government probably doesn't give a sh*t since they're far removed from the equation. Hell they might even be an asset in South America for American forces. But the Pinkertons would want to save face, so expect them to follow the gang south like they did to Butch Cassidy.

Yeah, I hope they keep their off kilter missions. I just hope that the main story missions are somewhat defined. I don't want to do a mission and find out I got locked out of a bunch of quest.

Yeah he knows his stuff its just some of his info is wrong I noticed, but its nice to have another rdr2 youtuber alongside legacy
