Speculation is allowed obviously! But everyone has an opinion, so do not be surprised if people disagree with you and voice their opinion, especially when it relates to supposed hidden characters or fan service-y theories

I thought that was obviously Dutch in the trailers saying the you have to love yourself a fire maybe, Im wrong but who else could it really be?

Also, I threw around the idea of maybe picking your main gang camp location? Has this been mentioned? Obviously theyd have to be boundaries and limitations, but maybe we have a few locations to chose from?

Also Kally G: I am not trying to shame you but have you played or listened to RDR recently? We hear Dutch talk in his normal, non-shouty voice plenty of times in that game, and he sounds absolutely nothing like the narration in the trailer. Hed have to significantly change his voice to sound like that, and how do you explain the lack of his distinct accent?

But it is 100%, without a shadow of a doubt, not Dutch or Benjamin Byron Davis saying that line.

100 per cent, eh?!?

Yes Mr. Jabe, I did in fact say that.

Well then, I suppose only time will tell how well placed your conviction is!!

That sh*t definitely doesn't sound like dutch to me after listening to old dutch and new dutch. If you take a second and listen to dutch in the beginning and that fire sh*t, to me it sounds like 2 different people imho. Edited by J.Dillinger Blackheart

To be honest, after just watching the trailer again and comparing Dutchs voice to the fire speech, Im starting to doubt that it is Dutch, I might be wrong, again.

I mean, hes either shouting/talking in a raspy voice that we havent heard yet, (thats what I hear) or that isn't Dutch.

They never said what type of DLC it would be though. A DLC can be anything they want it to be

Also...

https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/51955/GTA-Online-Update-Free-Deathmatch-Race-Creators-this

GTAV Story Mode Updates. For those ready to jump back into the story of Grand Theft Auto V, we have big plans for substantial additions in 2014 continuing Michael, Franklin and Trevor's action, mayhem and unexpected adventures in Southern San Andreas.

They said updates I'm beating a dead horse here I used to argue about this everyday here lol. Updates. Not DLC but Updates. Those updates probably became the returning player bonus for PS4/XB1
Sorry, but no. Not one player except for the ones lying to themselves thought anything "substantial" was ever added to single player. The implication was that they would do expansions like IV got, and then they didn't - either scrapping it almost entirely, or cannibalizing bits and pieces for Online.EFLC didn't sell well. They weren't going to try the same thing and lose money.

Th only fair way to settle this is to start a betting pool and wait for the game to come out obviously. Then we shall see my friends

At high noon under Broken Tree on the western plains - see ya there partner!!

But it is funny how unclear Rockstar have been with RDR2 at times - last week it was about whether or not it was Arthur on the art, now it is about whether or not it's Dutch's voice in the trailer!!

Stay vague Rockstar, stay vague!

I don’t hear an accent as much as I hear a deeper tone? More raspier voice, if you know what I mean.

One last post, I know it doesnt sound spot on to his regular voice. But I feel like hes at a serious part within the story where he is straining his voice a bit to deliver the speech with impact. Perhaps hes in pain at the time of the speech. Perhaps it isnt him at all. We will see in due time my friends! Either way, its wonderful voice acting. Really excited to see this story play out. Prequels usually suck, but the characters of RDR had a lot of mystery linked to their pasts. Im just so curious to learn things like how John really got his scars, how the gang fell apart, how Dutch loses his mind, and what leads them to leave John for dead. Although I hope this is just a portion of the story and the game still proposes other mysteries to intrigue us with the new characters.

Whether thats his voice or not, I am very excited to have Dutch be such a central character to RDR II. He only appeared like 3 or 4 times in RDR, but he stole the show for me. Favorite character hands down. His voice acting is my favorite in pretty much any game ever, and he was written so well. A compelling combination of eloquent and insane. His philosophy and his own flaws make him such a compelling character.

Wait there's a new treasure hunt in gta?

Not yet. Later in the year as they have said.

Told you boys, next treasure hunt should be the single action revolver. Called it haha

We don't even know which weapon it will be though, could be anything.
Im just making a educated guess. The first 1 was a double action revolver they have stated that rdr2 will feature real gun mechanics such as the double action and single action revolvers so like i said after the first treasure hunt. It would be brilliant to know introduce us to the single action later on and sure enough look another 1. So yea i do think its the single action revolver. I don't know for sure but ill bet the house that's what it will be.Id say the same, would be interesting if they added a repeater into the game, who knows, could even be clothing Antique relic, that sounds like clothing?sh*t missed that part, guess its a weapon then

I don't believe for a second Dutch would say something like "You have to love yourself a fire, it's where the blessing is" when the last thing he wants is for him and his gang to be consumed by that very fire.

I very much doubt they lost money on the IV updates. They just didn't make as much as they hoped. Though I'm sure that's why they eventually scrapped whatever plans they had for V and instead leaned into the curve of Online. Anyway, you can cover their ass all you like, but nothing they added (or all of it put together) would qualify as "substantial additions" that continue the main characters' adventures. They added a handful of vehicles and weapons, and a couple goof-off activities - i.e. a whole lotta nothing.

(By the way, I'm not mad about it at all. It's their game and their bottom line, not mine. I liked the core game and was fine with that being the end of it. But I can also call a spade a spade; they implied that something big was coming - similar to IV's DLCs, or similar to the ones given recently to Fallout 4, Horizon Zero Dawn, Assassin's Creed games, Shadow of Mordor, on and on. It's a standard business model for these open world, AAA games to add some additional mission content for $15 or $20, and they knew when they made these statements that that's exactly what people would expect. Combined with the social media hints we saw from GTA V actors about doing mo-cap and such, you will never convince me that they weren't planning to do a full DLC - but then ditched it because Online was making so much money, and they saw single player updates as less profitable, and thus not worth doing after all.)

Back to topic....

I'm pretty sure that's Dutch giving the fire speech. If it's not him, who is it? Clearly not Arthur, or John, or any other male character whose name and voice we know. It would be a really weird move to feature a bunch of important, dramatic dialogue from a character that we don't even know who they are, especially in trailer #3 (as opposed to an initial teaser). I'm convinced it's Dutch.

A new treasure hunt will at least give me a reason to play GTAO.. lol

But when you say "later this year" sounds like a ways away.

Its be cool if they added it later this month or sometime in June when the next info comes out.

I'm thinking some kind of repeater..

Like a Henry or Winchester..

And if it's a single action it'll be a a colt .45 peacemaker

I think he (if it is him) emphasizes that the knowledge of fire is important, so that the gang can use it to their advantage. I don't get your logic here?
