It just says next month. Could be June 1. Could be E3 (unlikely but whatever) could be June 30. Anyway, it would be nice if they did a Gameplay series like they did for RDR and GTAV. But in the post we got "And more" this could be anything from the art book.... to well another trailer... gameplay details.... deep interview.

well im telling you this now prepare to be disappointed because they will just milk RDR Online like they have done with GTA Online for the last 5+ years. Whats the point of recording new dialog and add new gameplay mechanics when you can just release a overpriced car?

I like to believe that you recruit Sadie in this bar. Maybe you end up robing her families ranch to get back at them or something as sort of a loyalty quest.

 

 

Guys.... what if Sadie is the Pinkerton spy? Pinkertons were known for using female agents... How f*cking cruel would that be, make us fall in love with her and then have her be the spy. Oof, seems like a very Rockstar thing to do.

 

It's possible. Hell, what if John is the Pinkerton Spy? Maybe that's why the government was able to get to him.

Game starts in 1899

John and much of the gang has already broken up at this point.

Dutch, Arthur, and others do Blackwater with hopes of expanding into New Austin.

It fails and a bunch of gang members die.

You flee the area to the North.

Meet up with John in Beecher's Hope.

Jack is four at this point

John gets convinced to join back up under the idea that they're going to be tracking down members of Dutch's gang even if they are no longer active.

The gang gets built back up, but John's loyalty isn't with the gang anymore (he's the only one of the seven line up looking away)

Everyone realizes this.

Dutch wants you to affirm your loyalty.

Micah "Sometimes, brothers make mistakes." is the mistake of taking John on.

Do a robbery to set John up as the fall guy.

John being a spy rather then hanged he his spared.

John tells the Pinkerton's he is done, and Dutch's Gang wont have anything to do with him.

Pinkertons agree he is a burnt asset and leave him be.

The Bureau picks up John and the rest is history.

I doubt we get a whole slew of gameplay videos, 1 or 2 gameplay trailers is good enough. At least for me. Unless R* are going the ubish*t route.

I can wait to get my hands on a single action revolver. That's going to be IT for me. I want to aim my gun during a robbery, if taking to long i can cock the hammer back to speed sh*t up like shooting bottles in GTAO. Executions are going to be great i can see it now.

RDR2 trailer 3 has 23 million views. So in about a week it has almost half the amount of views the original GTAV trailer currently has. (51 million)

Are there really surprises left? We already know the faith of most of the main characters (John Dutch Edgar Ross etc) And for all the new characters like Sadie and Arthur are probably dead since they werent even mentioned in the first game

People on Reddit speculating that Arthur and co are going to hide in South America from the goverment in the latter part of the story. Since there's an island on the leaked map, it could happend.

Video games don't revolve around the beginning and end mate, it's the inbetween, the journey, so to speak. We might have a reasonable guess as to where these characters end up but we haven't got a scooby about how they're gonna get there.

Notice how Trailer 2 has only 8 million views but it almost has double the amount of likes that trailer 3 has, It was probably just used as an AD

It's possible. I get a Butch Cassidy's Wild Bunch vibe from this. Sadie could be a mix of Laura Bullion and Etta Place.

I honestly don't think they need to explain that. Obviously we know the real reason is that they hadn't come up with the story for RDR2 until finishing up RDR, but in game Dutch, Bill or John never mentioned them simply because they didn't mention them. Its one of those things where the lack of explanation is better than a concrete one. I am sure R* have something in mind but I don't expect it to be an "AH HA" moment. "So that's why he was never mentioned, it all makes sense now." Because mentioning or not mentioning Arthur won't have an impact on RDR's story so lack of an explanation is fine since it won't break the continuity between the two stories.

Yeah, but unfortunately a lot of games most of the story/quest development is done at the start of the game, and everything tapers off after it. What I mean is the developers know the start and ending of the story, and near the start there is tons of things to do and learn, but as the story progresses you start to run out of things to do.

 

Systems, and quest tend to be heavy near the start of the game, and by the last couple hours your just coasting along the main path without much going on anywhere else.

You're right it's damn hard with this flood of information and with the fact that it's a prequel.

 

So personally I try to avoid all these theories, leak-videos and such threads.

Until now it works well ... and so far, R * has always surprised me in their games.

There will probably be a 'AH HA' moment to tie it together. Be it a big shock or not... well we'll see. For John it was just cleaning up lose ends at the governments request. Either the rest of the old gang is dead, or MIA in Central/South America. So the government doesn't give a sh*t about a couple old outlaws in South America, or dead ones. They care about outlaws still in America.... or operating close to America.

An RDR1 Remaster is highly unlikely since the code to that game is hanging on for dear life. R* is not going to bother trying to remaster it. Don't get your hopes up.

 

And on physics, we don't need realism for it. I would like ot to be over the top like the 1st red dead game..do not tone it down R*
