A 300 lb over 6 ft tall guy. Looks like he could kick some ass to me.

 

Often times I find the biggest friendliest teddy bears are just holding back the grizzly inside themselves until absolutely needed.

 

It dont even look like him, the guy beating arthur ass has red as hair lol. i hear what your saying, but if arthur lets a guy like that beat his ass idk in the world why he is dutch top enforcer. Pearson looks like a straight herb im sorry. If that dude f*cks arthur up, i want to play as pearson lol, because i can already see arthur wont be around long getting beat up by a cook.

I have to admit, every time you respond to someones opinion with disagreement, you can be quite abrasive. Also, you should read the recent IGN article about how its a great change to play as a character who isnt all powerful in a world that revolves around them. I hope that Arthur gets his ass kicked once in a while.

Yea it was discussed but it kinda got lost in the preview frenzy. It got way too many details right to be dismissed now and even the thing about choosing what gang members to take on missions being wrong was actually answered in an interview that said they toyed with the idea but ended up going with Rockstar-picked gang members. Ah I see, ok. Personally I decided to not read any of that. It wouldn't surprise me if we get to play as another one much later in the game and if so it probably won't be all that long. But hey, we'll see. I really don't want to ruin it for myself.

From what I've seen from Arthur Morgan so far he comes off as the most badass main protagonist Rockstar have made. A strong built 6"2 man who can put a damn deer on his shoulder is something I'm looking forward to playing as. I'm still dissapointed in the lack of Native American attention in the game. Really hope they play a larger role than in RDR 1.

The fact that Arthur can dead lift a large deer like that, makes me believe that he will in fact be the only character that we can play as in this game. It'd be strange having to switch to John who is clearly much smaller and seems not to be near as strong and then having a whole new animation/mechanic for propping the deer onto your horse. If they allow John to do it the same way Arthur does it, then it kind of undermines the excitement behind Arthur's strength. Also, as much as I love John, I really hope we remain playing as Arthur or at least have the option like at the end of GTAV. I just think he is shaping up to be one of the best (new) game protagonists we have seen in a long time. I'd hate to lose the ability to control him.

To be fair, a white-tailed buck weighs around 150 lbs. Thats not too impressive for a wilderness macho man like Arthur to carry.

I hope the fishing wont just be Press A to cast lure (wait for controller to vibrate) Mash X until you catch fish I am hoping for something more in depth than that, like the right bait for the right spot, and not just a ten second wait either.
