Rockstar Studios is not a legal entity just a unification banner for their 9 studios with 1,500 developers across 3-4 continent. However I think Rockstar Studios could become a legal entity in future after Rockstar Games becomes an independent publicly traded company.

 

Rockstar will become a publicly traded company?That's the easiest way to make money,always bet on Rockstar.

The Housers will be crazy rich since the were the founders of the subsidiary that not only Take-Two's crown jewel but the New York company's bread and butter. A Split between both will be sad and great like Fiat and Ferrari.

 

Rockstar Games want to focus on gaming while Take-Two want to focus on Media and Entertainment so both will be customers to each other from day one of a split.

 

They wouldn't do that. Sam and Dan Houser aren't really businessmen they'd have to prepare statements to show off to investors and stockholders every quarter. Not to mention it would be a huge legal mess since Rockstar is worth a lot of money to Take Two and Take Two also owns them it would be impossible to leave. They also don't release games every year sorry but It's not going to happen BLOOD.

I am a Rockstar fanboy so I am always excited with what they are doing. Same reason I am pushing for a spin-off, I want to own shares in both Rockstar and Take-Two not just one and the two needs to be valued much higher. The sum of parts is greater than the combined entity, ever heard of that?

 

You don't have to be super business to be am executive both brothers have been with Take-Two since the very start and run Rockstar Games and the studios. Sam could be CEO, Dan could be Chief Story Officer, and another Rockstar folk could be the COO and President.

I noticed Rockstar looked back at their previous games and are taking inspirations from them,the talk to NPC mechanic is straight out of Bully.Makes me wonder if the game will make time pass like Bully did with seasons

We'll see for sure how strong of a character Arthur Morgan is when we get to play it... but going from the trailers he definitely does look like one of Rockstar's best.

Hands down! I wouldn't want to play as john again under no circumstances. I appreciate R* not keeping the same protagonist regardless of sequel or prequel. Arthur hasn't even shown anything charcter wise and already has a fanbase. Thats how i feel with the bolwer hat guy (the antagonist). I know nothing about him, its just his demeanor and how his character look that i gravitate to. For the next Red dead i have to play as Micheal bell. Just because he reminds me of Charlie Prince in 3:10 to Yuma.

 

 

Holy sh*t, yes. First person to come to mind also. I have a bad feeling we will end up killing him. Can you imagine a mission where Dutch tells Arthur and Micha to go somewhere for an errand and Arthur (instructed by Dutch) leads him through a wooded are and kills him (or not, player choice moment?) I have a feeling something like this will play out and will lead Arthur to question Dutch.

PS4 has no exclusive content.

 

What they specifically said was that "PS4 players are first to earn select online content".

 

Which means, if you have a PS4, that you can gain some items from Red Dead Online a few days/weeks before Xbox.

And a lifetime before pc

For me its like:

A tornado is destroying your house around you? Just keep playing RDR...

A loved one is calling out for help from somewhere? Just keep playing RDR...

I don't buy a lot of new games, but for RDR2 I'll even pre-order the Special Edition.

I remember the only boxed games I bought since GTAV were Watch Dogs, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Fallout 4, The Division, Mafia 3 and Mass Effect Andromeda. And all of these games were kinda disappointing in a way.

The only game that really delivered was GTAV, and now all my hopes are on Rockstar again for Red Dead Redemption II. The game certainly looks promising!

I dont expect anything from Game Informer anymore. I think they purposely postponed their cover so whatever game doesnt get buried with RDR2 info.

I love the fact that they are so many RPG elements being added to this game to give that full immersion feel is amazing.Think about all the stuff they've mentioned that's blew us away now think about the stuff they want to keep for us to discover maaan i've not been this excited since RDR was first released on Midnight Launch.

I have to admit, every time you respond to someones opinion with disagreement, you can be quite abrasive. Also, you should read the recent IGN article about how its a great change to play as a character who isnt all powerful in a world that revolves around them. I hope that Arthur gets his ass kicked once in a while.
