Red Dead Redemption 2: Discussion & Speculation (Part 2)

I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed, but I was thinking about the new info regarding hunting and how we have to carry our kill on the horse. While this works with deer and smaller animals, I wonder how it'll work with larger game like a bear, a cougar, an aligator, etc. R* is aiming for realism with this so I'm not sure how he's gonna lift a huge dead animal onto the back of his horse.

Maybe we'll be able to attach a wagon to our horse and carry back multiple large kills.

 

Thoughts?

I guess we will need a wagon, or maybe we can unlock some sort of skill just to take some parts of certain animals; instead of carrying the whole alligator, just his skin or something hmmm

Why are some people hating on GTA V? That game change the industry forever. We should keep the hate down a bit (well I am one of the biggest fan of GTA V here)

A lot of the complaints about V are bogus. They're either really complaining about GTA Online (which, fair enough), or mad that there was no DLC (unfortunate, but it doesn't change my opinion of the game), or way too zeroed in on a relatively trivial flaw to appreciate all the things it did so well. Others are just subjective (e.g. didn't like playing as three characters). And still others seem like younger players who started the series with IV and don't realize that V is closer to the 3D era games in spirit and tone than IV was.

 

Then you also see a lot of people just saying it was bad with no explanation, or that it was short (it wasn't).

 

Whatever the case, personally I still think V was the best GTA single player. Other games did certain things better but overall, I really liked V.

i know v is a huge game, but after realizing how much more work r* put into rdr2 from what weve known so far, it just makes V seem so much less insignificant. makes a lot of sense considering GTA V started development once gta iv came out (2008) it was a 5 year in the making game to 2013. I feel it may have been their plan all along (NO NOT THE SHARK CARDS) but to have GTA Online going for so long while behind the scenes they were working on RDR2 the whole damn time knowing it would be their first next gen title... and that their studios would all become one for the game to make it their biggest yet.. think about it. Gta started development after the last one came out, same with RDR..

 

Also to put to rest about why they scrapped single player DLC it has been clarified multiple times but people just dont wanna listen. They didnt do it because V was already very complete truthfully, and although we didnt know this at the time, they were working hard on RDR2.

 

It wasnt because they discovered micros that they got "lazy" and werent putting out any games, it was because they merged all their studios into one while like I was saying the whole time GTA O is ONE small team of people... the whole of rockstar games are working on red dead! Thats where all the best of the best for their games were all of this time. Which is crazy and makes me very happy their longest developed game and most ambitious and first next gen title ever also supporting ps4 pro and xbox one x is in fact a new RED DEAD REDEMPTION!! dream come true.

This pics remind me of Witcher 3 mixed with a little Uncharted 4 in terms of visuals and that a fantastic sign.

I have been thinking about/hoping for this since the game was announced as a prequel!! Hear me out here this is what i see at the very least;

 

Theres a side mission or even random event in the world where you are wanted and you run into Red Harlow, still alive and hasnt thrown in the towel yet so he chases you.. any one who played red dead revolver knows why it makes sense but for whoever hasnt played, Red is a bounty hunter.. arthur and the van der linde gang? Outlaws...

I don't know about you all but I really can't wait to see incoming storms and rain in this one. The thunder rumbling in Red Dead Redemption was awesome. Also, horses bucking up their back legs when this happens. Dogs barking, saloons seeming packed with more NPCs than usual. The details man, the details.

That would be absolute fan service to me... my biggest dream with RDR2 one of them already came true (arthur and john seemingly being close) and my other one was if theres ever a scene with Red/John/Arthur at the same time.. I think its very possible as like I said, John and Arthur are outlaws, Red is a bounty hunter... itd be such a cool easter egg and make a lot of sense. I wouldnt put it past R* that they already thought of doing this.

Next thing you know Bill introduces a bottle to Red's head and stomps the holy hell outta him with his badass cowboy boot.

LOL that would suck... what a mean reference that would be killing another fan favorite -.- i do see that too though as in they see red in a bar just drinking , he has gotten a little older and is a bit traumatized over all the people he has killed plus missing his family.

Eh, I doubt they could make every building accesable with such a huge map.

But I would imagine that there is a fair amount of buildings accessable.

Especially if you include the proffesion ones.

I'd love it if after we've progressed through the story we can buy a house or a farm with all that money we'll get after robbing banks and trains!

I really hope there's a black market or some sorts of system where we can sell stolen items like jewellery and watches for money orherwise there won't be any meaning to steal items

Well most of Valentine's buildings have interiors. The Saloon, Doctor, Gunsmith, Bank, General store and a barn of sorts. That's the main drag of the town, we haven't seen what houses/stores are past the church that ign said was "in the middle of town"

Eh, I doubt they could make every building accesable with such a huge map.

But I would imagine that there is a fair amount of buildings accessable.

Especially if you include the proffesion ones.

 

 

I don't know about businesses like the hotel, I don't think it's accessible. But houses and ranches, most of them should be accessible. It wouldn't make sense to make a whole break-in mechanic for just a handful of buildings.
