Archery would be a good example of that. The learning proces has to be a bit tedious, just like in real life.

Eh not really it'll probably be like the Archery in AC origins. Edited by Zello

That sounds about right and I wouldn't mind it at all, honestly. As much as I enjoy the more realistic approach of Kingdom Come I don't think that fits Rockstar's style. Now, if they overhaul everything and make the whole game a bit more realistic than maybe.

Maybe they bring in the skills system from GTA V? Say when you first start using a bow it just doesn't have as much power behind it so you've got to arch your shot a little bit and the more you rank up your skill the straighter your shot is.

Horseback archery is a major must. I want to be able to use tomahawks as a melee weapon and a throwable projectile. I hope there is the option to shoot weapons out your enemies hands. If that leak is legit, it sounds like you have the option to be non-lethal at times. Maybe that ties in.

Trailer #3 is gonna be the one that really hypes us. We'll see far more action and we'll probably see more of the characters revealed.

still a chance tomorrow could happen something.

If they want to have some positive news for the Take Two S&P500 listing I would do so. Turn Homepage red and tease something.

Don't think that the company would keep eyes on the stock movement for every catalyst. They've no bearing in doing so except in very rare cases, in particular bad news like what we saw in regard to Red Dead delays. They work, provide an output and let the free market decides their value. If there are news this month, then I don't expect anything this week. 26th-30th March is worthy to keep eyes on, and be little excited about. Too much excitement can leave one bitter!

I like non lethal takedowns. You could do to an extent in rdr. But sometimes if you already wounded them by shooting their hand, they would pick up another gun and if you shot the gun out of their hand again they would die instantly

No one should die instantly because to multiple hand shots

While I agree it isn't R*'s style to go full realism..which one of the two archery systems is more satisfying and rewarding? Kingdom Come or AC? I think the anwser is quite clear.

Anyways..Kindom Come is over for me. One of the final missions is glitched out for me..Can't finish the damn game!

BUT THE BENZ

have we discussed the mechanics for show-downs/duels? we all know it was a bit of work in RDR, so they could really iron it out for RDR2. and maybe they can work in some mexican stand off thing, where you duel with multiple people. imagine online, 10 people stand in a circle, the big treasure in the middle of the place, and the last-man-standing gets it all.

but yeah, the stand off thing, they should add a little more depth to it, cue in more enemies to the duel system, so you can mark up to 5 goons or what, with your 6 rounds or whatever guns we get holding _ bullets

don't get me wrong, I really liked the mechanic in RDR, a show down is intense to this very day. but I want a little more

Dedicated trailers like we had with M, F and T in GTAV for each character would be nice...

Or, at least, a common introduction of Van der Linde gang :beerhat:

BUT THE BENZ

They already had that kind of stand off. Last one standing wins

was dead eye available? and was it just like the mechanic in the singleplayer campaign, you having to draw, pick your targets and then fire away once dead eye goes off?

I never played online really...maybe 2 or 3 hours...I was in a lobby of my own, I think...so I know next to nothing about RDR's online gameplay

They're both very satisfying in their own ways, I guess. Head shotting a guy long distance in Origins feels great while hunting down 5 rabbits in Kingdom Come leaves you with a "thank God that's finally over with." Kinda feeling.

More importantly Origins has more repeat fun for me.

While I appreciate the challenge of Kingdom Come, when I get done with a task that requires a bow and arrow I'm usually glad to be done with it so I can move on to something else for awhile. When I take out an enemy Outpost in Origins with just my bow I go straight to the map to find another one.

I think It'll start with Arthur, riding into the town. Then he enters a bar only to see a long bearded man, inappropriately touching a blonde lady. Arthur and the girl fight them but then the red haired man gains the upper hand in the fight. Then Dutch comes shoots the guy, saving Arthur. He asks Arthur to do a few errands and stuff, and he then joins Dutch's gang

I'm actually hoping for a heavy shootout as opening. A la gtaV.

GTA V's opening is the least favorite Rockstar-made opening for me. I lean toward a tranquil opening similar to GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption. The first Redemption game had it right with John traveling on the train, various characters exchanging talks while John is eavesdropping. Some talked about politics and others on religion and the savage land. There was some kind of foreshadowing between the lines, too. It was the most enjoyable writing in a game and I'd love to have Redemption II making that kind of an impression on me again.

Yeah for me GTA V had more of a movie opening than a game opening, e.g. throwing you straight into the action and giving you the 'big guns'

I like a game to start at the bare bones and slowly pick up. Like San Andreas, you start on a pedal bike with no weapons etc. It sets the scene, but then again I guess the difference is that Claude, Tommy, CJ and John were all 'new' to the area they were in so it was like starting from scratch, whereas Michael, Trevor and Franklin were all already established within Los Santos / Blaine County.

In terms of how it starts, I think that other people on the forum have guessed it right, that it'll start with a Chase over the mountains and the whole gang will be thrown into a 'new area' that they need to rebuild themselves in

Guys how would you think of collectible cassets like you know some queen numbers scattered all over the map it would also provide good incentive to collect not something meaningless like a 100 balloons would also provide for a good strangers mission ?

I agree that it was too movie like and over the top in gta V, but a shootout with enough build up could be nice.

Besides there was a shootout in the introduction of gta sa. A ballas car was after you with submachine guns.

Guys I have to say/ask... do you think rockstar while developing RDR2 has been watching other games and getting inspiration from them too? Like as an example if that leak was correct, one of the new features of dead eye sounded similar to HZD... anyways my point/question is DAMN assassins creed origins is amazing in so many ways and this educational discovery mode of the world has me at a loss for words tbh. People dont even have the right to trash on ubisoft anymore even after this game alone. Their attention to detail is fascinating this time around much like R* so it just gets me thinking... i hope rockstar has seen this idea of discovery tour as cool and innovative because much like egyptian culture, the west is FULL of history and interesting things to see and speak about.. i would love for rockstar to make their own discovery tour no combat mode to just have a tour of the world of RDR2 and the real history behind the guns and historial locations of the game and all that. Im telling yall this is so f*cking cool and i hope rockstar still pays attention to these other ideas that are worth implementing, like the one i just said! It would be so cool to have that as an option, really makes you appreciate the detail just walking through the game which we all know R* started that immense detail route for other developers to come. They would do a feature like this best imo.

YouAreWrong

People sh*t on Ubisoft because of the awful WD downgrade and AC:Unity release, but other than that it's been trying to improve a lot.

Origins has a better open-world than any R* game in my opinion.

"improve" ? Did you see far cry games ? In this new one they didn´t bother to improve even animations, guns , sounds and so on ... It´s just reskined like the others...

Everything you just mentioned is already in the original Red Dead Redemption so you can pretty much get hyped because it will return. :)
