Undead Nightmare II with zombies, werewolves, ans ghosts/possessive demons from native legends or whatever freaky tales they got, would be DOPE

i especially want the ghosts/spirits... thats not goofy either, they could easily make storyline out of hauntings and real ghost stories in the west.

Not bad the first rdr had some Easter eggs like that

yes sir! I loved going through tumbleweed to try finding all of them. Really hope R* dives deeper into all that because ghosts and stories of those things were huge in the west like for real they were

 

 

Tumbleweed Mansion during a thunderstorm was the place. Not sure if the ghost rumors were legit and I never saw anything but always felt like something was looming.

 

Hell yeah, I'm all for having some supernatural elements in RDR2.

Im actually really in support of this idea and if they hadnt made a zombie one for RDR i wouldnt be, but they found a cool way to do weird DLC's and have them not mess up the story or anything weird. Like Konami when they decided to add an entire alternate dimension in Metal Gear Survive. lol

 

I'd be fine with another "alternate universe" type DLC but I'd much rather see them expand the single player story or tell a new story in the same world. Knowing it'll probly be around a decade before they give us another game in the franchise I'd like to see them get as much story out of this world as possible.

 

Since Rockstar likes to rip off be inspired by the plots and concepts of big successful movies, they should just make an outright pure Westworld DLC, as I described in the Westworld & RDR topic.

 

Then they would have an excuse for an open-ended Online mode with all the GTA Online toys of the modern world. Of course, you'd have to buy them all again, and rank up.

 

I HATE and really LIKE the idea of a jetpack in RDO, equally.... kids would just go crazy with the stuff and over-use it, over-do it....on the other hand it would be pretty cool to just use those gimmicks once in a while to have some random fun etc...

I think the dead animals with the bow and arrow will be worth more at the time of sale. That would be a "clean" death compared to firearms.

Cyberpunk really? Whoaaaa. Holy sh*t theres a lot of gaming news lately like every few days it seems new games revealed and release dates.. this can only tell you one thing... RDR2 already has its release date so its almost R*'s turn for a true actual reveal ! And spider man ps4 i also have a feeling will get a release date soon finally

Agreed although I'm sure it will be it'd be odd to have a bow and not be able to use it from horse back. Maybe that's something the native will teach Arthur.

 

I'm still holding out false hope for there to be bullet drop with the arrows. A bow should always require more skill to use than a gun no matter the game. Nothing annoys me more than having a bow in a game but all you have to do is point it directly at the enemy and it will hit regardless of whether he is 50ft away or a mile and a half it takes all the satisfaction of a bow kill away when you finally hit that long shot. The Far cry series is a prime example of this.

I agree with your comments on how and arrow bullet drop.

These are the type of smaller details that Im looking for, because once the initial hype of how good the game looks and the other initial impressions, the gameplay elements will really showcase what R has really been working on. We know they can do big, expensive open world, we know they pay attention to details but I think gameplay has been an area where some areas are great but other you are like, man, wish they had that. Most of the cases have probably been because of consol limitations, but with the power of ps4, hopefully they can do some great things and offer the most of the little things that we would alll enjoy.

But just like you mentioned, archery is more difficult than shooting firearms. Horse archery is even more difficult. That's why throughout history, horse archers relied more on volume than on accuracy.

 

So I'm very curious how they will implement it. I hope it won't be a lazy feature.

 

Also i'm curious if we can make the bow more lethal with poisonous arrows or flaming arrows as a subsitute for molotov cocktails.

In rockstar there ain't no such thing as "lazy"

But just like you mentioned, archery is more difficult than shooting firearms. Horse archery is even more difficult. That's why throughout history, horse archers relied more on volume than on accuracy.

I think Rockstar's lackluster gameplay evolution is a design choice more than anything to do with hardware limitations. They tend to aim for mass appeal and more often than not that seems to get translated into simplistic gameplay.

 

I really wish they'd find some sort of easy to learn, hard to master system or at the very least a difficulty setting but that seems unlikely.

Archery would be a good example of that. The learning proces has to be a bit tedious, just like in real life.
