We could literally get some news in 2020, and the statement, "in the coming weeks" would still be factually correct.

There is no absolute statement of time....for a reason.

Because Rockstar obviously, cannot give an absolute statement of time.

I could actually imagine, Rockstar themselves leaked the documents, to see what peoples opinion on the stuff would be, without actually confirming it.

Perhaps the ressonance to the Battle Royal Mode, was too negative, and that is why they had to rework it.

Interestingly enough, the leak also did not conain any spoilers at all, which is something very uncommon to do for a leaker, to care about Story spoilers or anything of that sort.

2 possibilities really:

 

A) The Mods actually played around and there was nothing at all they really knew.

 

B) The Mods (especially Spider and uNi) did know something, had seen something, but now have to keep quiet because Rockstar noticed what went down here, and the Mods don't want Take Twos lawyers after their arses, for breaking an NDA or any other repercussions(we all know Take Two is brutal), so they just play along as if nothing happened.

they lied about the release date twice, they lied about GTA V single player DLC and they lied about a lot more information in the coming weeks

 

You cannot lie about release dates, they are in general consensus ESTIMATIONS.

There is a reason for when they get delayed, it wasn't a "lie", at the point the promise was made.

 

And, well, they did not specifically lie about GTA V SP DLC, they just evaded all questions regarding them, I bet you could not quote Imran with a specific lie, but I guess it still counts as misleading, but we were talking about the Red Dead Redemption II marketing campaign here anyway.

 

And why "In the coming weeks"; in fact does not qualify as a lie, I explained above.

 

Listen, this is Rockstar Marketing, they are very careful in the phrases they articulate for a reason, because nothing they say is "set in stone", and Release dates are always able to shift.

So apparently, (big grain of salt), there were about 100 or less people at that event.

And, apparently, uNi, was one of them, or knows one of them.

 

I still don't know what to believe, but I think that Usher Hall thing, might have a tiny bit of proof attached to it actually.

The plaintiff clearly decided entirely upon his own volition to purport via external websites to claim to have solved "riddles" that led him to believe the date, quite wholly unsubstantiated, that information regarding the video game "Red Dead Redemption II" would be released on Thursday 26th April 2018.

 

This date has now passed and no information whatsoever was forthcoming leading the plaintiff to attempt to deflect from his own shortcomings and dare I say youthful haste and attempt to blame both the fine upstanding persons who graciously facilitate this forum and myself who merely has been the conduit, who for legal, ethical and personal reasons has had to resort to conveying information via entertaining, some may say, cryptic riddles - not one which may I add has been solved by the aggrieved party - rather than clear and distinct language relating to Rockstar Games activities at The Usher Hall in Edinburgh.

 

Also may I make them aware at no time did I mention any date whichsoever that said information relating to events at The Usher Hall would be released within the public domain.

 

I am willing to forgive the plaintiffs exuberance along with his numerous personal insults and demands to have myself banned however, he, in his dash to elicit partial credit and publish such matters to the wider world has sullied my good name with being the subject of a video on the popular Youtube by the charlatan MrBossFTW - his pronunciation of my home town is something to which I feel I shall never recover from and I seek substantial compensation for my injuries on this matter from the plaintiff in due course

I think it's more to do with people wanting resolution given what recently happened with Pinkerton, where someone joined up and dropped vague hints until setting a deadline and getting the forum anxious or excited while other "insiders" jumped in and it resulted in nothing. Multiple bannings occurred and a stance was made that if anything of the sort happened again it wouldn't be tolerated...

 

...only it DID happen again except with the moderation staff playing along and encouraging it and when nothing happened and folks rightfully got upset it's just been met with a "lol jk why so serious."

To be fair guys, Rockstar marketing is aimed at a much broader audience than us here. They already know they have us idiots hooked.

 

They know that the bigger the hoohaw they can cause, and social media is made for this, the better. And remember; negative publicity(delays, lack of info and all that) is better than no publicity at all. It gets people talking about the game...just look at the click bait bollocks on the Daily Express, Star & Sun etc.

 

The Rockstar marketing policy seems to be be based around the "make 'em crave for it". When information actually happens, people go ballistic.

Like I've said elsewhere in this topic I haven't really been active in a while and missed most of that, so I can't talk about it as I could be wrong, but as far as the last few days have gone, what kind of resolution are you expecting exactly? Something plausible not coming to fruition is good cause to be upset at an entire community? We're to blame for Rockstar not initiating RDR2 marketing on a day everyone expects them to? You posted something a bit ago so everyone can "be at peace and move forward" but now you're back to suggesting staff are just all "LUL JOKES" about this. No one will be satisfied until confirmed news drops.

I came to this forum for the first time since GTA V was originally released, and I stayed, because we had this mysterious Scottish bloke posting riddles while the Mod team circled around the thread wink wink, nudge nudging each other - which gave the riddles weight and credence. It, in a way, was similar to Rockstars ARG surrounding Kifflom for GTA V.

 

I would have disregarded the Scottish guy as a fake if it hadn't have been the supposedly connected mod team joining in on his little game. And now it's all been outted as bollocks and the mod are trying to backtrack and say "no we didn't say anything, nu-uh", it's kind of insulting. Through insinuation and through the mod teams own cryptic responses on those threads, you (the mod team) definitely played a part.

 

It's unfair to suggest otherwise and it's unfair to simply place all the blame on Dee.

I really don't care if this guys a fake or not, but his posts are written in a hillarious manner, almost fell of my chair laughing.

Also, have to say, the riddles are pretty darn hard to solve, I tried, I couldn't come up with anything in spite of the "look for the white bag" and "cowbells" riddle.

The cowbells were obviously reffering to R* cowbells which are given out, and the white bag to the picture that was posted by GTAForums on insta.

But all this has been "solved" allready.

 

 

So wasn't at least, one riddle solves? Ay.

 

And, might I add, would you be so helpful and provide a technique as to how to approach the riddles?

It is as if, we have all the ingredients, but are lacking the tools to put them together, some refferences and crossing all over, but not enough to formulate a stringen solution.
