I am pretty confident we will see something in May. What will we see and will it be good news? I don't know, but I think we will see the silence break. Something has to come in May with their investor call in mid-May and they are going to want to know what is going on with Red Dead 2 and what better way than to reveal some information about it?

 

I just wonder about the next GI cover. It makes sense for it to be Red Dead 2. It's 6 months until release and an investor call is coming up mid-May...seems like the perfect opportunity to start marketing and get people and investors interested. I do worry it could be another game. I don't think it is Shadow of the Tomb Raider considering today was the info blowout and we already have a bunch of sites like IGN talking about their previews with it, but I do think of The Crew 2. It comes out at the end of June. I don't follow GI very much so I don't know if they have a pattern so The Crew 2 may be too close to release to do one, but I do wonder about it.

 

If we see any news in May, I hope it is good news. I don't want to see another delay. I honestly don't think there will be another delay, but you never know with R*

Someone mentioned that next week has a slew of GTAO updates planned. I think the week of May 7th-11th has the highest chance before the investor call. I don't think they'd wait until 2 days before the call to break silence.

What Rockstar are doing?

Working on the game you are so keen on playing to make it the absolute best it can be and fullfill most of its potential, polishing it up to the finest detail.

 

You know, today I went to the barber, and I think it is a perfect analogy, for what is happening with Rockstar:

My barber always misses out on our set appointments, and I always have to wait about 45 minutes up to an hours before it's actually my turn. Also, he charges above average, compared to other barbers in the region, yet I and a lot of other people seem to go to him....guess why?

Because quality, when it is actually my turn, he spends as much time as he needs(sometimes half an hour, and sometimes up to one and a half hour) to get the fullest out of my hairdo, and give everything the final touch it needs, working out each detail.

 

And that is the same way it works with Rockstar. They may take a LOT of time to finish their games, and they may not be as upfront in their marketing because of that, but the product will always be of quality.

Red Dead Redemption 2 taking longer than anticipated is NOT something bad, per se, it gives Rockstar the time to finish and polish the game to the standard they deem proper.

Without GTA Onlines existence, Red Dead Redemption 2 may have been released earlier, because Take Two would not be able to calm their investors for so long, but R* wouldn't have been able to push the games potential and scope beyond what is possible, as they are trying to right now.

Probably, it worked in RDR but every time I tried it I ended up flat on my ass cause the SOB blew me up first.

Shooting someone holding a fire bottle was funny too. You could hear the shattering off the glass bottle and they caught on fire and would flail those arms around and scream. The screams in Red Dead Redemption were funny.
