Read his post. He heard from someone very close to R*. Theres absolutely zero reason to believe this fairytale made up UHevent ever happened. And not one tease from any journos? You know, not even one of the HUNDREDS of them that werethere?

If Jason f*cking Shreiher heard nothing about UH then nothing happened. Hes the best slurce in the industry right now and has inside knowledge about almost anything game related you can think of.

 

Have you considered that if Jason is infamous for spreading inside knowledge and talk to industry insiders, R* doesn't want him anywhere near said event?

 

Or he does know and doesn't want to endanger his sources/reputation by telling people on a videogame forum a secret preview did in fact take place.

Different, yes, but shouldn't it be more intensively marketed? GTA is a much bigger brand, RDR is big but a lot more niche.

 

Rockstar should really start marketing it so it attracts more than just fans of the first game.

Considering it's been predicted to be the best selling game of the year since it's announcement using the word "niche" to describe RDR2 is nothing short of stupid, to be frank. They can market it however they want and come launch the hype for the game will be as big as any game out there.

Game announced in 2016. Its 2018 and all we have they have to show for it are 2 huge delays and a couple of screenshotsand 2 short trailers that are 40% titles, company logos, and false release dates

16th is 2 and a half weeks away so I'd hope that this was worst case scenario. Also 16th is a Wednesday, so assuming they stick to Tuesdays and Thursdays, (and Tuesday is reserved for GTAO) I'd say the Thursday 10th is best bet.

GI saw it on October 11th

 

IGN saw it "mid October"

 

Barely much of a difference at all. It was likely a week booked with different sites seeing it different times/days.
