I just started watching the show, first episode was quite intriguing.

we will see how they really feel about it once the game is shown.. i see what youre saying but i do also believe they still love red dead just as much. Otherwise they woulda released it buggy and unfinished regardless of fan backlash.

But now "In the coming weeks" is what they used to claim when they were releasing info back "then". More like....

Honestly some of my greatest moments in gaming. I want to feel that level of excitement and joy for a game again. The story was fun, everyone has their opinions but i enjoyed the vibe and different personalities.

I might raise some eyebrows here but the first time I popped in GTAV I honestly felt sort of underwhelmed... all those months of excitement and this is the product? lol not to say it was bad or anything I just felt like I hyped myself up to insane levels.

 

The next gen version totally rocked my sh*t though, that felt like the promised version all along. I deadass dropped my jaw when I saw how much smoother and crisp Online looked on PS4.

I think they posted more videos about Red Dead Redemption because it was a risk to even make that game. They had to make videos to convince people to buy and try a western game.

They know with RDR2 they could stay silent all the way to Oct. and it'll still sell well.

100%. They didn't anticipate RDR's success in the slightest so they made sure they marketed it aggressively because it was something they were so proud of and struggled so much to make. They're fortunately not in that position anymore (I don't think so at least) so they have much more room to stay silent and let the game speak for itself but it's still slightly scary how reclusive they've gotten after GTAO's success. Their communication with fans had always been decent at least before and up to a fair bit after GTAV had come out but they've turned into ghosts now. We don't even get asked and answered posts anymore and I loved those.

 

They even disabled comments on their Newswire a year and a half ago after redesigning it. Something tells me the trolls and impatient/rude people just got on their nerves to a point where they won't go out of their way to say much anymore. Only and only when it's absolutely necessary.

I wasn't really active during the Usher Hall topic, but to clarify from what I've read about it terms of "is it real or is it fake?" questions that keep popping up and now Dee saying it's "confirmed" as fake, here's what's actually been said:

Regardless of all this "he said, she said" stuff, May should be a good month because of the investor call. I think it's way too early for people to be thinking about delays again when we've only just hit the 6-months-to-go mark, which is normally prime marketing time.

Yeah I think so too. Plus that I bet Take Two isn't really in much of a hurry with GTA Online doing so damn well, they take their sweet time. But yeah, I recall that some key people have left the company as well unless I am now mistaking it with a different developer. And you gotta wonder how important The Benz was. With this extreme lack of marketing I definitely see them delaying it again. Worst case scenario is sometime 2019, better case is holiday 2018. Of course the very best one is simply f*cking updates with screens and maybe a countdown to trailer and finally some f*cking good news for a change that the October date still stands.

Infinity War was good. I really want news though. R* is like that ex that treats you like sh*t but always delivers so you keep going back.
