Today I learnt that the staff/mods here definitely know something and have seen the game (maybe) but they indeed have no idea when R* will post about it publicly.

 

A scene of calm to cool down things a bit ... at least until tomorrow

 

You're serious? Because it's becoming more and more clear to me that they haven't seen sh*t. Hell not even Kotaku has seen the game. Rockstar has yet to invite press over, it's a goddamn mess. A mess that won't be released until 2019. Mark my words, they're gonna pull that delay bullsh*t again with another lovely excuse. As for the mods here, I wouldn't put any stock into what is said and just wait really. Don't hype yourselves up too much and also don't be too mad when the GI cover next week is a totally different game. Bet on it.

 

How do we know that people have not seen the game? If there are NDA agreements in place, there is no way to know if anyone has seen anything. Perhaps an NDA agreement is prohibiting people from discussing Red Dead Redemption 2. We know how secretive R* can be and how quiet they can be about their projects, so I don't know why it is so hard to believe that it is being shown to people when this is the time frame they should begin marketing for it. Maybe no one has seen a thing and maybe there will be another delay. Who knows what is going on, but I don't think we should completely right it off because there could be NDA agreements in place.

Jason from Kotaku today could have decided to not say a thing on ResetEra but instead he chose to say he hadn't heard about any new happenings today and also on his own initiative said they had not received an invite from Rockstar NYC yet. I believe him. If Kotaku didn't, sure as hell a fan site didn't.

It is more about that we had like 6 people around here strongly pushing the narrative that something is happening without proving it. That would be considered trolling and a temporary ban would be necessary.

 

Hell, I was banned a month ago because I posted a cryptic alien poster and believed in Pinkerton Spy's date. And now nothing happens, even though they do just the same: Trolling (It is considered trolling, if they don't prove it, even if they may know something).

This does seem like the only legitimate complaint, however the context for that ban doesn't seem to be there any more so you'd need the mod who did it to explain tbh.

 

Apart from that, everyone should probably stop blindly believing hype and gain some independent readin' comprehension, otherwise this will happen again.

If a delay happens(which at this point is sadly very plausible) it likely won't be Christmas but more like Spring 2019. Which would be absolutely pathetic, I'm sorry. You gotta wonder what the f*ck they were thinking announcing that game so early and actually putting a release date on it which in no way in hell they would manage to succeed in.

Don't think we'll see anything RDR2 related tomorrow / this weekend. Rockstar have got Red Hook Crit this Saturday in Brooklyn. I think they'll be busy organizing and promoting that event.

I see your point. It could very well be. But like I said, if he did see anything, he wouldn't say if there are NDA agreements which I am sure there is. Though if he really did not see anything, I don't know why he would say anything at all. Unless he is trying to throw people off or just trying to get people to stop asking about it. You could be right, but I hope your not. We really need some news soon. Or maybe he wasn't invited but I don't know about that.

If it is delayed and it goes to Spring 2019, I will be furious. I wish they would learn to not announce their games until they know for sure it is ready. It is ridiculous that they were off by this much which makes me think either it is in development hell or they aren't ready to give up moneymaking GTA:O. I really hope Spring 2019 never happens but at this point I would not doubt it.

Yes he did tease beforehand. I am still holding out for tomorrow being a tease for next week's GI. I am honestly losing hope at this point for a 2018 release. I am just exhausted, not even mad or angry, I am just....I don'i know.

I just don't see why GI would do a cover reveal for TR when it is getting it's own reveal. The purpose of a cover is for the magazine/website to get traffic and clicks for information that isn't available elsewhere. But I suppose it is possible. I don't like the idea of it. But it is possible.

I think the difference is that Pinkerton was clear about a date. The mods/admins didn't confirm anything. In fact if you read back, it is purely a bunch of idiots creating hype out of nonsense.
