Today I learnt that the staff/mods here definitely know something and have seen the game (maybe) but they indeed have no idea when R* will post about it publicly.

It is more about that we had like 6 people around here strongly pushing the narrative that something is happening without proving it. That would be considered trolling and a temporary ban would be necessary.

 

Hell, I was banned a month ago because I posted a cryptic alien poster and believed in Pinkerton Spy's date. And now nothing happens, even though they do just the same: Trolling (It is considered trolling, if they don't prove it, even if they may know something).

This does seem like the only legitimate complaint, however the context for that ban doesn't seem to be there any more so you'd need the mod who did it to explain tbh.

 

Apart from that, everyone should probably stop blindly believing hype and gain some independent readin' comprehension, otherwise this will happen again.

Wednesday, May 16th. I'm thinking they might be either announcing a gameplay trailer, or another delay, the week of May 7th.

 

The last delay was announced on Thursday, February 1st, which was the week prior to the Feb. 7th earnings call.

 

ALL speculation, just looking at their history here. Most news is delivered on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and they tend to come around earnings calls.

You're serious? Because it's becoming more and more clear to me that they haven't seen sh*t. Hell not even Kotaku has seen the game. Rockstar has yet to invite press over, it's a goddamn mess. A mess that won't be released until 2019. Mark my words, they're gonna pull that delay bullsh*t again with another lovely excuse. As for the mods here, I wouldn't put any stock into what is said and just wait really. Don't hype yourselves up too much and also don't be too mad when the GI cover next week is a totally different game. Bet on it.

In a world were the mods/admins wouldn't have dropped cultural references and gifs for the last few days, Dee would have been banned by now.

 

I don't want Dee to be banned, not at all. He should stay here. He just hyped himself up, like I did last month with Pinkerton Spy. I learned my lesson and I think Dee also learned his lesson.

 

Now... I just want to point out the hypocrysi: Dee only got hyped up because of the mods teasing something (I know they did not tease the 26th specifically, but it was really suspicious).

Because of that, he strongly believed today R* will drop info about RDR2 and made it seem like it is totally happening and that he knew something.

Now the mods would have banned him if it wasn't on them too. They know it would be hypocritical at this point to ban RyanHunter, Frontiersman and gonnaenodaethat.

But even that in itself is hypocritical.

 

These forums have rules. Everybody who doesn't follow them should be punished. The way I see it, today this forum became lawless and a great place for trolls to prosper.

A week before the call? Interesting, I thought it was a day before the call. So if another delay is in the cards it will likely be announced a week before that call, well....good thing that won't be too long now. So if there's bad news again, let's just get it over with and then concentrate on games actually coming out this year and not focusing on Take Two's BS anymore.

 

Rockstar once was my favorite developer but ever since GTAO's success that has changed drastically. I'm sick and tired of hearing about GTAO and GTA V. It's a great game but also incredibly overrated and its shortcomings are never mentioned enough. It was a downgrade in several aspects compared to their previous games. Hope RDR2 is a return to greatness.

How do we know that people have not seen the game? If there are NDA agreements in place, there is no way to know if anyone has seen anything. Perhaps an NDA agreement is prohibiting people from discussing Red Dead Redemption 2. We know how secretive R* can be and how quiet they can be about their projects, so I don't know why it is so hard to believe that it is being shown to people when this is the time frame they should begin marketing for it. Maybe no one has seen a thing and maybe there will be another delay. Who knows what is going on, but I don't think we should completely right it off because there could be NDA agreements in place.
