You just gotta wonder why they don't drop a screenshot or two here and there. Maybe some artwork until the real big marketing campaign starts. Why so much silence. Why does it have to take months of silence for them to come out, announce yet another delay and a couple of new shots? Even for them this is unusual.

The mods act weird every time we're close - I remember the GTA V news droughts.. the mods knew something was up and did the same tease kinda thing that's going on here.

Mods are talking in riddles and the gta online updates for this week is blank on the little schedule rockstar made, think thats why anyway.

It's anything but copying GTA V in terms of marketing. Six months before its release we already had the GI cover story with all the info and also several trailers too. It's very unusual this time I'd say. And I just hope it's not an indication of bad news.

I honestly think they're just doing things differently this time around. It has been 5 years since they've released a game, so I'm sure the marketing strategy changed.

 

My ideal scenario is that we're almost overwhelmed with info at the start of the marketing campaign, and then the hype is maintained by a drip-feed of small info and/or screenshots.
