I’m banking on a teaser this week, and a GI cover reveal or other info next week. This Thursday is exactly 6 months from the release date. I’m not saying Papa should fire up the train yet, but it might be time to start collecting hype train tickets.

the westworld post believe it or not, isnt as irrelevant as people think.. i predicted a while back thst shortly after westworld starts up again we will start getting news:) they are both westerns and will be riding the hype straight into the sunset... of course playstation knew when they posted this, people would think RDR2!

 

Side note; even more so because in that specific picture, it does look similar to arthur and the girl it really does... and westworld became a thing cause the creators were inspired by red dead redemption they based the show off that and bioshock as a mix. its no coincidence. The end of april/ all of may= return of the west!! RDR2 included. I guarantee it. Another thing, may is a huge western history month, as well as red dead! Ik ive posted this before a few times but more might appreciate it.

you do so love to talk in riddles, mr.universe. lol seriously though, and my uncle just went to texas recently within the last week& got me a cowboy hat, months ahead of when i said i hoped to get one gonna dress completely as a cowboy for the midnight release of RDR2 pretty much october 25th, as well as do a facebook live of it for my fans to see my excitement now i will have my hat early! Cant f*cking waittt!! #theuniversespeaks

RDR2 is a myth at this point... I cant believe this game is coming out in almost 6 months and only news we have gotten is the announcement of the game and the 2 times it was delayed..

Ah, so let's get right down to applying some brakes...hmm..yeah...the next GI cover could be...Rocksteady's unannounced game, or CyberPunk 2077, or maybe even some game we have not heard about till now. Or maybe R* is not planning on doing a GI cover at all, and May is just going to be about GTA 4 and more GTAO stuff.

 

That's slowed down the hype train for sure!

^ it is very possible man, but I dont buy it. Reasons being

gta v premium edition is set (likely cause the end of it is near) gta iv has nothing to do with red dead.

#1 tho "the coming weeks" meant exactly what it said, they never said a few weeks or so or gave a specific date, i believe they had may planned all along.

#2 may is a big month for the west/red dead

#3 april 26th will mark exactly 6 months till release (which R* no matter their differences always followed a marketing campaign once the game is 6 months or less till release.

#4 Most every big game has already been covered or is at e3. If you take the logic that spider man a september game, got a game cover now, red dead would only be a month behind schedule

(If they do a GI cover at all which I bet they will. Even if not for tradition, it is GI most anticipated game. They would not miss the opportunity to cover this game.)

Haha its all good man even if you are serious. You are right gotta live up to ur name ;p but yea you definitely have some realistic possibilities in there worth mentioning! I cant stress it enough tho like ive had hunches and everythijng before and like many been wrong, but next month is thr strongest feeling i have had yet. Not just from blind hoping but legitimate facts there are too many reasons why may is it..

 

Also forgot to mention probably the biggest reason of them all, the TT conference may 16th. A surprise GI cover followed by maybe trailer 3, screenshots AND artwork all in the same month? Talk about stocks rising and a major comeback after so much silence. Everybody would be happy

My stepbrother, who previously wrote on a couple of gaming magazines here in Brazil, and now is a collaborator on the geek section of a major Brazilian website, posted something on facebook this week about the revenue generated by GTAV.

 

I jokingly replied asking where's the single player DLC and where's RDR2, to which he answered "be cool, news coming on E3".

 

I asked him if that's an info he has or just a hunch (with R* not doing much E3), and he said it's a "grounded hunch" or "educated guess", and that Rockstar has everything to announce the final release date and some cool video on E3.

 

Now, like I said, take that for what you will, I don't know why he'd have such information, and maybe that's more wishful thinking than anything, but hey, that's what I heard.

Take confirmation bias into consideration, everyone. We're all eager for news. So rationalising reasons for why X is the day/week/month we get news only makes sense to us because we're so eager and waited so long.

You're not just cynical. Youre just thinking unrealistically. We're not seeing cyberpunk until e3 and people have been saying Rocksteady was gonna reveal their new game via GI since 2016. Also theres no way they'll let the conference call come around and not say anything about rdr2

RDR2 could be at E3 via Sony, just as GTA V was in 2013 & 14. Nothing to get excited about.
