Yeah unfortunately that's been one of our mottos here for a long time now Dee Seeing that sh*t special editon of V brings tears to my eyes. Obviously not in a good way. In a total sh*te way. Honestly still a bit surprised they still even gave a damn to remember IV's anniversary.

I just thought of another theory... so, what if the reason why Arthur is never mentioned in RDR1, turns out to be because he dies and john is threatened... not that I want it to be this way, just a hunch Im feelin. Imagine if dutch kills arthur and john is the only one who knows about it... so he blackmails john into never speaking of him or the incident again.. otherwise he kills johns family and maybe even him... maybe dutch if that turns out to be the case, is the one who informed the government about marston returning to armadillo on the search for the remaining members of the gang.. they could have been working in a twisted way together with the government. You never know.. dutch did have that kind of power as an insane man id imagine

First person just doesn't seem right to me. I've always associated first person in open world games with games like far cry, fallout, and more recently, gtav ofc. These games never take themselves seriously, there's always a lot of humour and a light-hearted feel to them, and first person kinda feels right for that stuff. But Red Dead is a serious franchise, and for me at least, third person seems like the way to go to achieve that feel.

Out of topic,not related RDR2 not for comparison.

 

I played god of war about 5 hours and i have to go bed now and all i can say its incredibly epic and beautiful. I never fan of GoW series but this is one of the best game i ever played already. I never enjoy combat this much any other game ever.

They're seriously trying to squeeze every bit of money they can outta that game. Premium Online Edition? Gtfoh

They're not even squeezing. They don't have to. GTA Online sales and recurrent consumer spending are still raining money on TTWO like a Taiwan monsoon. Every year, a new generation of kids gets hooked. GTA Online may be the gift that never stops giving.

 

So, TTWO doesn't even need RDR2. Even if RDR2 is successful beyond imagination, it still won't pay back as much return on resources as another tacked-on GTA Online DLC.

 

 

PS:

 

The GTAV world is a masterpiece. It deserves to make all the money it's made. But this makes the corporation risk-averse and lazy. New cities, new stories, new games are just an unproductive detour from the Online juggernaut.

There's an airport I go through regularly. Sometimes a store goes out of business and closes on the concourse, and they board it up with an abstract art mural for a while. Then, some franchise replaces the mural with a big ad for their new store, like "Cluckin' Bell Coming SOON!"

 

I walk past these things month after month. That ad sits there for one or two years, until they finally put in the advertised store, or a new art mural, or some other store.

 

The moral of this story is that the corporate meaning of "SOON" doesn't mean WHAT we think it means, and it doesn't mean WHEN we think it means.
