Anyone see this? Can you say if it's legit?

The graphic fidelity really does look unmatched, very similar to the promotional screenshots and trailers shared by Rockstar themselves.

 

It has great lightning and textures just like we saw in Rockstar's official promo releases. Facial animations and voice acting looks just as stunning as we saw in the second trailer from Rockstar. I think there's a high chance this is a leaked RDR2 cutscene.

If we compare the two faces from the two videos I think the resemblance in quality is uncanny

 

Look at the light reflecting off their eyes, truly impressive stuff from both images. The character model looks a bit different though, maybe this leak is an earlier build of Arthur Morgan (or maybe this is another character that hasn't been revealed?)

 

So, I'm mostly convinced that this leak is legit.

But the fact that this leak is 60FPS is throwing me off, all other Rockstar trailers were 30FPS.

So legit! The graphics quality is mind-blowing! How could they manage to get this level of detail into current gen consoles??!! It's a revolution in video game technology, I say!

 

PS: +1 for the excellent script and fine dialog.

 

PS: Why didn't Rockstar make this fine piece of work into a Super Bowl ad???

That's exactly what I was telling myself, I was contemplating if I should buy RDR1 for my Xbox 360, or just go for RDR2 and they'll Remaster RDR1.

 

Bought it anyway and played it since 2 days ago!

So, I think the general consensus here is April/May for the kickoff of marketing. Hopefully R* surprises us in March, to the contrary of our expectations!

its definitely 4K. No doubt. But its clearly upscaled, I can tell from here, I got the dead-eye, but, if they're gonna do this AND not give me realistic horse sh*t then im just gonna boycott R* for the rest of my life.

I am currently playing the Shadow of the Colossus PS4 remaster, and just have to say the developers have done a fantastic job remastering the game for current generations. It looks beautiful. Agro is without a doubt in my mind, the best video game horse ever made (RDR’s come in second and I hope RDR2’s will be even better). I love the little things about Agro that make her seem like a real horse. I’ve talked about this before here, but I love games like RDR and TW3 that treat their horses like real animals (looking at you Skyrim and AC Origins). They wander around when not mounted or tied up, they graze, they drink water, they run away during combat and from wild animals. If you dismount Agro and idle near a water source, she’ll go get a drink, and if you are in a grassy area, she’ll wander off to graze, and she reacts in fear during combat. I’m hoping that R* capitalizes on their horses from the first game and make the ones in RDR2 even better than the originals. RDR2 doesn't need to be a horse ownership/ranching simulator, but little things that make their horses seem real, like Agro and RDRs original horses goes a long way in my eyes.

Ha, I'd love to see her in RDR2. Still one of my favourite stranger missions in RDR. Weird, creepy but also very sad how her husband behaves. He just doesn't want to let her go I guess. And John's reaction: "You don't look a day over 30 ma'am." Brilliant! Hope we'll see lots of great side missions in RDR2 as well.

Ha, I'd love to see her in RDR2. Still one of my favourite stranger missions in RDR. Weird, creepy but also very sad how her husband behaves. He just doesn't want to let her go I guess. Hope we'll see lots of great side missions in RDR2 as well.Exactly, while you can't deny that scene was pretty messed up and that old dude was a fruitcake, you also kinda can't help but feel for the guy.

 

I guess when you lived with someone most of your life and then just lose them..even the healthiest of people can lose it.

 

Knowing R* and their passion for easter eggs, I can totally see them putting this couple in rdr2.
