Why is it necessarily a rule that news wont come on a Wednesday?

 

Not necessarily a rule, but past experience has pretty much shown that it's either Tuesday or Thursday that we get anything from Rockstar, however the RDR2 tease was on a Sunday, then on the Monday with the full announcement on the Tuesday, so you never know.

I wonder if the pressure that RDR fans put on R* (just look at the most liked comments on their latest tweet) convinced them to reveal some info this coming thursday. Let's be positive, because one thing's for sure, D-day will only come closer!

If you ask me.. this Spider-Man PS4 release date as well as game informer cover now, bodes well for a RDR2 cover next month.. (as long as it id even in the plans.) Spider man has a cover right now, which the game is coming out in september. RDR2 comes out the month after so of we go by logic on this "one month ahead of schedule" then there you have it. It wouldnt have made sense to have RDR2 cover right this month when spidey comes out before it.

like we was saying yesterday, RDR2 will make perfect sense. We also have crackdown 3 and tomb raider and black ops that could grace the cover. My prediction stands, RDR2 next, CD3 or tomb raider, COD etc..

So, let's say for some crazy reason, RDR 2 doesn't do a GI cover. Can we assume it'll be a large preview on a website like IGN ? When a think 'a lot more information' I'm thinking a large preview article, not screenshots or a trailer.

It will be May's cover, I reckon. It's reaching a deadline and info blowout should happen early in that month. No other way to explain it to fans, or to investors at T2's call who, by the way, are also keeping an eye on the media to know the status of the game. I cannot, for a second, imagine that marketing will be delayed until, say, July. June is E3 and R* always enters into a hibernation state during that month.

Unless Sony explicitly want R* to show off RDR2 at E3, which could happen after we get some more info, and it would be a nice surprise.

I mean, they aren't obligated to do a GI Cover but given the magnitude of this game, it'll be very unlikely for them not to. Anything can happen though. I'm just nervous right now cause as much as I'd want to, I can't trust Rockstar. For all we know we may be close the next investors call without any news and we all know what happens next. Let's just wait and see what happens this month.

Teasing by the end of this month is coming, I reckon. It's just a... deadline, a blockade. No way for R* to maneuver. Haha.

I totally forgot about the investors call in early May. I can't imagine us not having info before that. Shareholders will want to know what's going on and and be reassured it's on track for October 26th.

Nothing before E3 is when I'd start to worry. Even if they have something to show at E3 I can't imagine they'd wait all that time to finally reveal the game.

I wish i could mention how "ultimate" it will be when my birthday is a few days after but its not. My birthday will be 3 months ish after RDR2 is out. Im not saying there wont be GI cover for those 2 games but it makes it less likely i feel you but like i said we have 8 more months to 2018 bruh, if they didnt feature those 2 games idk what they trying to accomplish in terms of covers. There aren't too many other games out this year.

2018 is one hell of a year for gamers for sure...

 

its one of the better years for gaming... People said 2017 was the best year for gaming.. It really wasn't i cant think of a single game that came out that year that made me go, "huh i actually had fun playing that!"

It was one of THE most disappointing years for gaming we had publishers pushing microtransactions even more then they had before (battlefront and shadow of war)

I was so excited for andromeda but the game turned out to be a rushed out piece of garbage with bugs that still hasn't been fixed today over a year since it was released!!

2018 is looking more exciting with Tomb Raider, Detroit etc but its hard to get excited for those too knowing how publishers like to milk their consumers with microtransactions and DLC

^ youre right on man. The only games i loved last year were wolfenstein II, assassins creed origins(got a bit bored though) and horizon zero dawn. Those were huge games of last year that i actually enjoyed. I love the evil within 2 as well but i didnt count that because it wasnt a huge game everyone wants, horror is a niche genre really.
