What can we kinda underline as strong possible features in the game from both trailers and screenshots? other than dual wielding and bow and arrows of course. i just want to spit tobacco like the guy in the *first trailer

Stealth/Sneaking could be a big(ger) feature/mechanic. Could be useful in hunting missions/gameplay, and in the trailer Arthur attacks someone in that swamp from behind - could probably be a stealth takedown.

Looks like the history is repeating itself a decade later. 2008 was a great year for games - GTA IV, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, MGS4, Gears2, Burnout Paradise and countless other classics.

Damn right! Just the year before CoD modern warfare released. 08 was a grate year for games. Sh*t was much simple then with games. Idk mabye I'm just an old head :pp RDR2 will definitely be an istant classic like It's first game :^:

However annoying a wait gets, just know that like spider man AND god of war, R* alll them are top tier devs at work who care so f*ckin much about their product. Tell me would you rather rockstar annualize every title and rush sh*t out the door for a check/unfinished game? Or would you rather a dec like R* who may put you through a painful ass journey of waiting.. but when the time comes that they show what we crave, they go all out.

And then all of us arent like oh. This looks cool. I might pick this up. We are like HOLY MOTHER f*ckING sh*t IN THE NAME OF DUTCHES BAG WHAT AM I SEEING?! IS THIS REAL LIFE?! DID JOHN MARSTON NOT DIE? omg omg rockstar TAKE MY f*ckING MONEY DAMN IT!!!

Amirite??

Gears of War 2 (best in the series imo) is rumored to get the Ultimate Edition treatment this year considering it's been 10 years almost.

Spider-Man is my second most anticipated game, and it looks great. My main problem with this is that we've had Spider-Man games since the dawn of video games. How many open world westerns do we have? That's my two cents on what happened today.

THIS!!! A THOUSAND TIMES THIS!!! i have NOT been hating on the spider-man game i love swinging around, it feels so free and smooth and I love it. I will definitely end up playing this game eventually. But its still going to be a spider-man game. Ive been paying spider-man games since before 3D graphics!! you swing, you fight, there's a mandatory love sub-plot, and then the end. i can count on both hands the western games i know of, one hand for open-world ones.... i think there's two. there's only two right? Gun and RDR1.

The western genre is really really ignored by developers for some reason. I guess they think the whole western thing had its time in like the 50's and 60's and its never coming back? That cant be. everyone knows the masses love a good criminal story. Either a mobster, or an outlaw gunslinger, or modern hood gangsters and drug dealers. its entertaining. i dont understand why the western genre is so slept on in gaming.

What do we have coming out this fall other than rdr2 that could have a GI cover? state of decay 2? ive never seen a COD cover, idk.. GI could do some dumb sh*t and feature some left field sh*t too. But seeing how Detroit more than likely wont get a GI cover, i can only think RDR2 could be next.

Ultimate Edition??? Take my money damnit!!

literally was just talkin bout this with my dad once i got home, about the games we are hyped for all on the way and the others all have their own reveals. I REALLY especially if R* starts marketing this month even in the slightest, say RDR2 in may would make lots of sense.

Spidey is taken care of. God of war is too. Detroit comes out next month. (Already covered by ign, will get no GI cover) Tomb raider, black ops 4, metro, KH3, etc all have their own reveals slated for april and may. State of decay highly doubtful will not get a GI cover. (Some also going the e3 route) Ghost of tsushima another sony cool lookin game is probably a 2019 one along with TLOU II is my guess. So whats that leave gor GI to cover for 2018 ?? Well, red dead redemption 2 of course...

Do you guys think their will be bounty hunting like in the first game

at first glance, it doesn't really make sense for Arthur, an outlaw himself, to be hunting down other outlaws

with John, he was at least working with the law as a pseudo-cop/bounty hunter at the time, plus he was a reformed outlaw so it made sense in his character

but does it really make sense for Arthur?

Polishing time and bug fix is the most important part of game development. I finished FC5 and I can say that it is a very fun game with incredible graphics but there are many bugs, it seems that the game could not by a rigid quality test. An open-world game requires much more attention than that compared to a linear game. Rockstar certainly does not want to deliver anything like that. So trust yourself that the wait will be worth it.

bounty hunting doesn't necessarily have to be only for the law abiding.. A bounty is a bounty. If the money is right a bounty could be taken up by anyone regardless of what side of the badge your on, even posse members.

Bounties if taken in alive i want the bounty to pop sh*t a little, try to break free or have posse members come to his aid to help him escape. I would like the ability to question townsfolk and npcs on they're wereabouts. It should be a bit of a task and not as easy, something along the lines of the bounty missions in GTAV. Maybe we can infiltrate posses by wearing outfits, maybe complete missions for the posse members to get close to your man easier. Not just a walk up kill 10 guys, lasso the target and your done.

Not sure... that would sting if he wasnt a part of it. ;) I hope to see VENOM AND MYSTERIO!!!

People always seem to forget carnage :D Carnage is even more berserk than venom imo.

What would you rather have for a first mission: guns blazing or a slow tutorial-like mission ?

I liked GTA V's style.

Action packed introduction with the next missions toning it down a bit and gradually building back up again. Basically a taste of what you're going to get in the game before the game throws you into simpler missions.

Lately I've noticed that I have less and less patience for drawn out introductions or tutorial missions. Far Cry 5's first segment was incredibly annoying where you had to hold W to follow your deputies, you couldn't even move left or right, you could only hold W and follow them. It was obnoxious and brain dead boring. Lucking Far Cry 5 was pretty quick in introducing you to the action after short that initial segment.

That. Sounds. Awesome.

I'd hope if they did that then the bounty would be bigger too, since you'd have to spend more time and effort on finding and apprehending them.

Also maybe its like a 'no honor among thieves' thing? he doesn't care about if he's arresting people for the same stuff he's doing, he just wants money. and f*ck the other gangs if they aren't with dutch.

No one doubts Rockstar's ability to deliver a masterpiece. It's why everyone is anticipating the game in the first place. It's exactly why I disagreed with a few members here who had the nerve to say Ubisoft is better than Rockstar. What Rockstar sucks at is marketing and communicating with their fans. They could care less if we had to wait another year. Money is and probably will always be their priority.

I have an interesting thought, since the overpriced exotic vehicles and jets are out of the question for RDR 2 maybe theyll go very heavy on gambling in RDR Online to satisfy Take-Twos hunger for more microtransactions. It would be cool to see a old fashioned casino filled with players and it would make for a nice hang out spot for friends too.

I mean say what you want to but there's no other game that's bigger than RDR 2 this year. There's no other company (especially Ubisoft) that'll make you as anxious as you are right now for their upcoming title. Regardless, if think they should work on communicating. Why say coming weeks when you could have said months?

woah... i never thought of it like that... they can make it so you can gamble with the virtual money, but you can buy that with their shark cards or steel bonds or whatever... but by law they cant let you turn it back into cash or else that's REAL gambling... so they just make it a money sink for themselves, and, we cant say a word about it because otherwise they would have to get rid of some link in that chain (the shark cards, or the gambling) and we wont have no gambling, but they wont have no shark cards.
