Red Dead Redemption 2: Discussion & Speculation (Part 2)

No excuses for announcing a game in 2016 and we still don't have any details.

Am I the only who thinks that R* was extremely confident when they announced their first delay in May, when they said that they would give out info in summer? Part of me feels that this is the only reason we ever got the second trailer, because they had slipped up and given us a definite time window for info, and could not back out of it. Remember, it was just one trailer on the last day of summer, the bare minimum to fulfill their promise. They also did not tell us when we would get more info after that point.

 

This also means that they knew the game was going to be delayed in Sept-Oct itself, but they chose to tell us about it in Feb.

The team are dickheads point blank period. After that sh*t they pulled with the last delay they earned it. All i appreciate from R* are the games they create. As a company, they suck!

All I know is this announcing games two years early needs to stop. F*ck the investors! Announce the game when you know it's ready. It's Rockstar ffs, I'm sure they can afford to do that!

 

It wasn't fun for GTA V, and it's not fun for this.

I dream of Rockstar announcing GTA VI by revealing the logo, and underneath that it just says: "Coming in 2 weeks."

No matter how big Rockstar is, they misused the precious element of time in the past 5 years. they did nothing and always sh*t posting on social media. and above all of that they let us starve for news over and over again, the hype they killed is a part of the game and they just don't know it.

I wish a mad scientist's experiment would go horribly wrong and causes rip in the fabric of spacetime that would shoot us into another dimension where it never existed. I played it for like a month and a half when it came out and i never touched it again. I personally don't know anyone that plays GTA:O. I mean I'm sure SOMEONE is but its not anyone that i know irl. lol

 

also I'm making this sig and updating it every day if anyone wants to steal it every day and talk sh*t to R* with me. lol

I've always been an enthusiast for GTAO, but it has become a joke. Its turned into A XXX/Fast & the furious game. I thought it would capture the lifestyle of the west and sh*t but its just car after f*ckin car after f*ckin car. For the same map..SMFH. When you have thousands of fans ballwashing every move you make this is what happens.

Because V did not worth all the wait,lack of melee system,no interiors,no Sp dlc useless wildlife and forests etc etc. And this time waiting much more painful because no information,no leaks.

I imagine this happening if they want The Benz again R* and Take Two buys out The Benz and his new studio making them R* employees again then Sam fires everyone except The Benz and makes him his slave like this

maybe thats why its taking even longer than usual. They are really putting everything into this to make it a true next gen game. I mean lets be real here for a min, yeah itd be nice if R* lets us know whats goin on but thats not their style.

 

Anyways lets look at it from their persepective, ok they are perfectionists, which can be painful as i am too. They are making their first game while trying to make it true next gen, as well as live up to the masterpiece that was red dead redemption. They take their time to give us a great game which i bet if they communicated more, people wouldnt take it so harsh. Plus when gta online is promoted thats ONE person one team... all of R* is working on RDR2.

 

They know what theyre doing and minus lack of communication i just feel like who are we to bash them? Ya know? If they were a cash grab lazy ass dev team red dead woulda been out already and been like most AAA games. A buggy overhyped mess. That aint rockstars style. All depends how you look at things my friends.

Im not anticipating the story too tough as of right now. Yea Arthur seems like he will be 10x better than John in terms of character, at least i hope so. I think the gameplay will be the highlight and selling point for me.

Thats the exact problem. I dont think any of us care about them taking years and years to develop a game. Thats cool. What we hate is the fact that R* will not give us anything at all and keeps doing asshole type sh*t like saying "summer" and releasing a teaser on the last day of summer for a minute and a half of video a week later. Or saying "coming weeks" when they mean "coming months". Were only dying for the news because rockstar promisd us news! You got some rdr2 news for me boy?! We aint seen no news on your website!! Lol

Announced two years ago and all we got is a few screenshots and like 2 mins of footage (half of which is just pretty scenery)

 

I sometimes think they've messed up badly in development and are desperately trying to fix it right now. I wouldn't be surprised if they cancelled it and repurposed the assets for a Wild West themed GTA: Online update.

that would be the scariest outcome i dont see it that way though. Theres no way theyd cancel this. Its a moneymaker for one, two, westerns are getting hyped right now again, three, theres many actors and photographers just so many people that worked on this game and its in their resume, and lastly they spent millions of dollars for this game which has an official release date... they will not cancel it. Not only would they lose so many fans and also money, but they would lose some of their reputation too.

 

We are in good hands this is going literally the same as gta v did orher than the game informer timing, which i think will be next week. They know what theyre doing and it wasnt time to share anything this month. Dont forget gta v first ofdicial marketing start wasnt even till april 30th... aka last second. I see game informer happening and then rockstar takes the real marketing stuff in may from then on.

@damienrayemusic I hope you're right that R* is actually trying to make this a true next-gen game. It feels like this generation all next-gen and innovation has meant is prettier graphics and making everything open world when it doesn't need to be.
