So guys, we're basically 7 days away from a potential reveal. Either that or probably waiting another month for a reveal in May. I don't see the marketing campaign kicking off any other way than by a GI Cover. I hope we receive some sort of tease soon.

If we don't get a GI cover reveal next week, I really don't see they are planning it. Because like you said, doing this cover reveal is the best way to announce that they are ready to talk about the game, and a june cover is waaaay too late for them to start doing that.

I say that because Game Informer covers are announced during the first week of each month. With that being said, if we're not teased during the days leading up to the GI cover or even worse, if the GI Cover isn't RDR 2 then we'll have to hope for the cover reveal in May which may not even happen if things aren't on track with the game. The fact that we have a release date doesn't mean they can't delay the game and I think people fail to realize that lol. That's what I'm worried about.

Well, technically, the cover which will be revealed in the first week of April is the May cover. The digital copy comes out in Mid April, and then they start shipping the physical copies so that it reaches the subscribers in the last few days of April. This is the reason why I'm saying this should be the month.

 

But like I said before, the facts point in this direction, but R* being R*, I expect you to take all this with a huge bag of salt. Don't get your hopes high for the Nth time.

For Game Informer? Actually the digital issue is available the same day the cover is revealed so it'll be next week. Subscribers usually get it a week or so after, not at the end of the month.

Forget trailers or game covers, right now I only need a Compass and it should lead me to Red Dead Redemption II
