Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 6)

I'm starting to doubt if we're getting any good double cash events, now the interesting part of the dripfeed is over they're going to put the focus on RDR2. There's a reason we got all the interesting stuff first.

And we had a ton double cash events this year so far. Basically everything except I/E, Freemode Events and a few of the Heists.

Really hoping we get something good but this was the week I was hoping they would start it. I might not happen during this dripfeed, but let's pray I'm wrong, as per usual.

Don't hold your breath. We still have 3 adversary modes to go, which means 6 weeks of 2x$ on AMs.

 

We might get a 2x$ on Nightclub sales, promotions or faster acquisition times for the Nc products on the side, but that's it.

Barely anyone does Business Battles anymore.

I'm just worried they turn freemode events in 3 rotations now, with events, bizz battle and challenges occuring with 30 or 15 minutes inbetween them.

Even if they change it to 15 minutes I'll be waiting a long time for my favorite events like Hunt the Beast and Checkpoints.

Considering Bizz Battles take 20 minutes, it could slow the flow down by a lot if no one participates.

Maybe the 11th they bring it back, when the boring part of the dripfeed starts.

That Kill Target Business battle is pretty much doomed if nobody hops in a jet to take care of the guys up north.

I'd probably session hop honestly if we ever get another double FR event week. I won't sit through 10 minute non-checkpoint Flying related events. They really should lower those timers to 5 minutes in all honesty

If they dont remove the vehicle flags it wont matter anyway imo. I quite playing gta about 2 weeks after AH dropped because of the flags. Im enjoying Crew 2 far more these days until RDR2 drops, than neutered cars in gta. Gta  has "Jumped the shark" imo, and i'm hoping gta6 doesnt follow in its foot steps.

Given the pattern anyways, GTA IV and TLaD were realistic but then TBoGT went and made things over the top.... then we got GTA V.

 

As long as they don't put juggernauts or aliens in the main campaign I'm fine with it..... I'd still get GTA VI regardless though

We are getting more events that offer free money.

Notice the last line, we are getting free money in December which is a confirmation that R* is still going to support GTA Online at that point (Even if it doesn't involve a new update).

And I could be setting myself for a disappointment as these texts could be placeholders just in case they decide to offer us such events in the future.

Neat info @Fun 2! 

 

Though, what I'm fearing is the dripfeed of the Futo, Prairie, Patriot, Coquette Classic, Mamba, Penumbra, Ruiner and the standalone Romero Hearse, Habanero, Serrano, FQ2 and BeeJay XL, which could be 12 weeks, at best. 

 

I refuse to potentially wait three months just to unlock a white stripe for my Mamba >:C

 

 

Edit: and the sponsored and holiday gifts and such could be a baiting method to bring players back.

Rockstar please give us a good event week tomorrow, with some other (good) bonuses on top of the adversary mode.

 

Last good event week we had was the big business one, rehashed and milked to death three times before Nightclubs finally arrived.

In all seriousness though, looks like R* finally figured out the best (easiest) way to prop up active players numbers each quarter before their earning calls, Very clever & won't cost them a dime.

 

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the December dlc, hope the cars are just as good as the ones that came with DDH.

Well we should get some idea when the next DLC will drop based on these unused TShirts and Liveries. If they are dropping X amount per week...you can figure out easily when they plan on dropping another major update...

 

EDIT: I wouldnt expect TShirts or the common liveries to drop until after RDR2...but thats just me.

I wouldn't expect anything before the release of RDR2

Even after the release of RDR2 people (including me) are too busy playing RDR2, no one (practically) cares about GTA without any major update
