Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 6)

The reward for the Stone Hatchet seems to be glitched on PC. Went to the crossdressers bar twice, and walked the beach area twice going craycray, 167 kills later and still no challenge completed.

I'd go for a leaver action or if R* was willing to a bow or maybe crossbow... I mean we already had 2 hatchets before this but this does bring in the rampage so it at least has a "new" mechanic

worked fine for me down near Vespucci beach...on PC/Steam

Beware, challenge seems to be bugged, at least on PC. It seems you don't receive the 250k after completing the challenge, quite a few post popped up on steam.

I would wait for a fix or just shoot up a small clip to send to the support just in case.

Yeah crossbows / harpoon guns / nailguns would be nice. Impaling npcs to walls sounds fun. 
I'm also still waiting for Mk2 bat with a small change of sending people in to the air.

I'm hoping this doesn't mean gta updates are slowing down since we are getting so much free money? I mean.. the club itself is passive money without doing anything..

Like this update.

R* could go either way at this point. They're taking it one step at a time and evaluating continued interest in the game (GTAO) as they go, making decisions based on that simple parameter. With them not being a short-sighted company for the most part, my money is on at least one more significant update to GTAO before they call it quits. One more at a minimum. Especially considering how much cash T2/R* execs are making off this cash cow we call GTA!

 

Then again, with how quickly things change in game dev, and at R* in particular, quite literally anything could/can happen. "Expect the unexpected" is the best advice I've ever heard regarding R*

Same and I hope they'll lock all the silly sh*t behind and throw the key away. I want the good old way of "you want a tank? Steal it from the military!" back with GTA VI. If VI starts with weaponized crap, I'll just give up on GTA. They can't even stand being in public lobbies themselves, but think it's fine for us.

 

What bothers me the most about whatever DLC comes next is that they can't fix it for me, there's no way back. Even if they add a bunch of tuner cars or proper truck modifications, you can still get killed by a space cannon or some idiot flying in a B11.

If R* had dedicated servers, everybody could have what they want. The FR warrior and mil sim players could have their war zone lobbies and the role players, noobs, grinders and collectors ect could have their designated lobbies as well... here's hoping it's the case for RDR2 and VI. Probably shouldn't hole my breath though TBH.

This hunt is part of the promotional and marketing campaign for RDR2, and provided there's no update until after RDR2's release, I don't see them adding anymore treasure hunts.

Hopefully no explosive cannons on vehicles.

I'll allow jets so long as that damn cannon isn't around anymore.... nerf them hard like the Buzzard and Annihilator compared to TBoGT and TLaD

I think we might get some more - big or small - updates for quite some time. A positive cash flow is what a real life ceo want to make for his share holders.

the game had it's run.

 

the last few updates (DDH not included) have been meh at best and content seems to be very limited for a "big" update like this, forcing rockstar to even dripfeed core content to make it last longer.(this is the only reason i can come up with for this horrible dripfeed)

 

stuff get's recycled more and more to the point where it all feels the same,it's clear that rockstar is running out of original assets,and it can't realy keep the game fresh anymore.

 

bugs,broken vehicles without fixes untill the next update months later also hurt the game.

 

the game has been living on borrowed time,but  that time is running out.

 

they don't have to pull the plug on the servers,but i won't blame them for stopping updates. 

 

i can't speak for anyone but me,but i would say that it's time for rockstar to leave this game as it is (they are not going to fix things anyway) and only work on some patches whenever needed.

Here is a thought. This update was clearly short on cars. I believe they will give us another car-based update like SASSSSSSS or smaller (possibly no races) without a warning in 2 months or so.

2 months? the drip feed for this update won't even be over in two months

 

besides they're not putting out an update the same month RDR2 comes out lol

 

it'll be December MINIMUM before we see another update, big or small.

I realise the bugs are starting to pile up, but I'm just not ready to let her go yet. There's nothing like it out now, and its successor won't be for at least 2-3 years. I just won't be able to fill its void. Hopefully R* will continue to add at least *something* every few months at least until 6 arrives

All they have to do. Is take the property cap off. Maybe add one or 2 new businesses/buildings every christmas, and 2 news cars a month. I could accept that

Rockstar please open up all of the clubs, more strip clubs and bars. That's what everyone was expecting anyway. And get those hookers off the street and into those clubs. That way they don't get run over and killed.

Once RDR2 is released and we try it, a vast number of people will leave this game.

Sure it's cowboys and horses, but it will be a fresh start without a lot of the BS we hate about GTA.

The graphics will be better, the gameplay will be smoother, the story will be fresh, the online world will be new...

 

I'll stay with RDR2 until GTA6 comes along...

It could be earlier, remember, rockstar have different groups working on different projects, like one group is working on gta online, the other is working on RDR2 etc.....

Your logic is sound, but from what I understand, I think they're throwing every available pair of hands at RDR2. So its like 80:20 for December next
