Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 6)

Blimps would have made much more sense back when the skies over Los Santos weren't filled with jets and attack helicopters.  I'm very curious how they're going to handle them - can't imagine they'll be nearly as easily destroyed as the one in single player.

 

f*cking cool that they're giving us a blimp finally though.  I love those dumb things!  I'd probably buy one even if a slight breeze destroyed it.

Okay lads, we know how After Hours will operate for the most part, so let's move on...

 

We expect there to be either a small update right before the release of Red Dead or nothing at all, so let's assume December 2018 will be the final major update for GTA V Online, there'll be a few car packs to tide us over in 2019, just focus on December. Let's pretend R* callback Ned Luke, Steven Ogg and Shawn Fonteno to reprise their roles as the trio (which they HAVE done before) in the update who'll work alongside us the player to send off GTA V with one last big hurrah to make up for the canned Story DLC.

 

What do you want the DLC to be about? I'm not talking Mansions, Naval, Hipsters 2 or any of the toys you get to play with, I mean what do you want the plot of the update to be about?

i think they are still working on the car and still deciding what brand to put it in meaning that it could be a very late dripfeed car.

I still think its just a normal blimp from SP with different texture. 
But if you mean "like a yacht" in a sense that it has its own Piracy Prevention mission then I'm all in.

What would be the point if no one is playing those games anymore? Impact wouldn't be the same.  Just like with watching old movies with CGI that didn't age well.

I think It all boils down to "better sooner then later", "better late then never" and "theres always a better time / worse time to add something". Thats all.

eh i'm still gonna talk about "after hours" since there is still lot's to talk about in the coming days. especially when the twitter pics come around.

Probably something to do with us settling down and giving up the life of crime lol

 

GTAO updates aren't going away anytime soon though you can bank on that.

Well they have until Monday to make up their minds because after that they won't be able to do much about it. I honestly think this was some earlier game play when they recorded this scene. I also speculate that this car will be a day one car.

Or they just let us change the badges ourselves as an option.

I want the Blimp from The Old "Teenage Mutant ninja Turtles" Cartoons from the Late 80s. where the Cockpit disconnects from the Balloon part and turns into a Glider. If I remember right, been a Long time since I seen those cartoons.

I can see 3 types of places on trailer:
1) Nightclubs
2) Storage to crates/business stuff
3) Garage to personal vehicles

 

I don't know where this is gonna be. I don't know if It's supposed to be attached to our nightclub or this is another building.I'm concerned if this is gonna be all attached things or separate buildings

i hope so,i think the computer in the club will be how we start those "contact missions".

it would for sure be a way better business model compared to the old businesses.

Sure as hell hope so. Especially since Doomsday allowed us to have 2-4 at anytime we wanted, I hope this is Rockstar understanding how terrible the concept of Co-Op in this game is.

I'm thinking something like Prep/Setup missions in freeroam but with cutscreens (so kinda like contact missions as well)
1-4 players 
you drive to the airport / helipad to pick up DJs
you watch a short cutscreen and you escort them back to the club

1 player goes meet the dj, while the other goes and pick up the patriot limo and the other 2 go get the armed pounder custom and now we have to get the dj to the club while fighting the police, because well R*

Oh, and if it uses the hangar - well they're going to have to have more space. Current number of slots is tiny. I can't even get any old Pegasus vehicles converted - be stuff took all my space, and I still had to sacrifice one. Now would be a good time for a second hangar.

You can store as many aircraft as you want/have, you just can't display them all. So in reality, hangar space isn't an issue if that's where the blimp is stored

If they were working on the car, the second one wouldn't have Dinka badge either. 

If they'll allow the badge change, it will be weird imo. I don't like the idea. All I can picture in my head is something like this:

 

What it really is, is just Dinka badge, but due to lack of AA on the consoles (on which the footage was probably taken), compression of the YouTube video, angle, lighting and the distance from where we saw it looks how it looks...
