Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 6)

I suspect they're going to take the easy route when it comes to consolidation: take things like cargo warehouses and vehicle warehouses (currently CEO-exclusive), and weed farms, document forgery businesses, etc. (currently MC-exclusive), and make them universal to all (or rather, both) organisation types.

 

It's simple enough, because all that requires is grafting the existing structures from CEO and biker businesses on to each other's HQ properties - so for example, you'd be able to access The Open Road from your clubhouse computer, and do it all as an MC, instead of needing to do it from an office as a SecuroServ CEO.

 

I don't think they'll do anything more drastic than that - i.e., VIPs won't be able to buy a vehicle warehouse as a stand-alone thing - but that's the most logical, least risky way of doing it, IMO. Anything more fundamental would require a lot of new voice-over work - this way, they can just have CEOs use all the existing interactions with LJT and whatever, and do the same with bikers using Ad Hawk Autos. I doubt they'll even go as far as to have Malc do an alternative cutscene when bikers buy a vehicle warehouse - it'll probably be just the usual 'fixed camera shots of the property interior, with pop-up text boxes explaining stuff', like when you buy your first apartment.

Thats basically what I believe aswell. But I think it will be an expensive new property that has access to all the business types under one roof. Maybe even the ability to set up sell missions without being in the various warehouses/biker businesses would be nice. I doubt they will make it retroactive for existing clubhouses/offices tho becuz that would eliminate any paywall, and limit sharks. I just hope the new property is a Mansion, with a generous amount of vehicle storage.

I suspect they'll just create a new organization type that can manage all of the business types and can perform the most common/popular actions of both CEO and MC, like spawning a buzzard and motorcycle right to you.

 

This would allow them to sell us an expensive new HQ property.

^ That's along the lines of what I expect. Expensive new HQ (not a complaint, I actually like new properties) and a new overarching organisation type. Also gives R* the opportunity to charge daily fees for everything you have running.

Don't get me wrong, I hope there's more to it.

 

But when I think about things like the vehicles we can already own for free being added to the websites to buy and this Penned In battle royale mode that I couldn't be less hyped about, I'm getting a lackluster vibe.

 

No one will be happier than me if I'm wrong though. A big summer DLC with great gameplay, vehicles and new properties will make me very happy.

Or just add all unarmed helis to CEO spawn menu and overhaul spawn system for the rest. Avenger is spawning closer than Hunter, WTF?! This BS restriction: car or PV aircraft should finally go or we should just go back to Pegasus, because it makers 0 sense.

Really want to believe this, but before RDR2 news known, I expected it to be this simple really. Now we know all departments were called in for RDR2, I've such little hope this DLC will be any good for me.

 

More public sh*t, and potentially a battle royale over stuff. Uugh.

 

Of course, they give me stupid amounts of garage spaces and more cars/bikes/toys to play with, I'm all good with whatever comes. It's not like all the tried and tested ways will suddenly stop being decent earners, lol.

They f*cked up an entire DLC worth of cars. My trust and expectations for GTAO are very low at this point, the skeleton crew running things don't seem to have a f*ck to be given among the lot of them.. I'm just hoping the consolidation doesn't force a bunch of new restrictions on how existing businesses work.

 

Seems to be more than skeleton crew on gtao, they are still rolling out glitch patches every few days

Nah for real though if that was going to happen, I'd hope it would've happened by now. Well no, I don't "hope" for anything along those lines to happen - people should be allowed to do it in solo public lobbies.

Well that would not solve my problem, since I want more storage for personal aircraft (I want my crew pink savage back. ). The added bonus would be that I would have a helicopter waiting right outside the property (just like with my yacht) without needing to call pegasus or use the interaction menu.

They take inspiration from many... Top Gear, Leno's Garage, F/F and Bond movies, Hoonigan. I think the car designers keep up with the popular automotive youtube channels too.

 

More excited for whatever cars the next DLC brings over the actual meat of the update. Yan hinted at a drip that will last between June and RDR2, hopefully he meant it will be massive in scope and not just stretched to the breaking point like the current drip

with how sh*tty the system they have for servers one little 2 second drop in upload or download speed for any reason and you get locked out, there's no way they'll be able to implement that and have it work out.

I suspect that's why it looks like they're making a whole bunch of cars purchasable - that'll either bump up the number of Day 1 'releases', or if they're really shameless, pad out the drip-feed...

 

(and if they don't at least give us things like the Lost Slamvan, they're not just brazen - they're downright moronic, because that's leaving easy money on the table)

After they've ruined the Supra, added flags and oversized supercars, I began to worry what the next update will bring us...

 

And according to leaks, a combined business can be not so great as we expect but just a one more thing to take our $ for the same sh*t.

Well that would not solve my problem, since I want more storage for personal aircraft (I want my crew pink savage back. ). I can't understand why they can't improve the unlimited storage that we could not enter. Put a tracker in your car, select storage and voila.

Honestly, I'm beyond the point when I could have cared about it. If they do that, godspeed. More people to dedicated crews then.

Yeah I can see it, but just think about it you're in the middle of a sale or whatever and then your upload/download drops completely for 2 seconds, not enough to disconnect you from onlines servers but just long enough to disconnect you from everyone else on the server, and as a result you fail the sale or whatever it was you were doing, that's one of the very apparent flaws of P2P over dedicated servers, and one that would be completely ignored by locking a free roam paywall business behind a player count wall.

I felt if they want to get rid of players doing business in lagged solo lobbies they should greatly increase the value of the cargo by lobby size. Not just x% (which I don't know because I'm one of those people) but say double at 20+ players (I would say at a full lobby but I've never seen a lobby stay full for any significant amount of time)

 

I kind of feel that's what this new penned in fun is talking about may be. Something that may tie the amount/value of supplies you receive to the amount of participants.

IMO Pegasus, MOC/Avenger and Personal Aircraft should share delivery points.

 

There's no reason for a Hunter to not be able to spawn on top of the LS Medical Center or in the Vespucci Helipad.

 

Also, while we're at it, let the player spawn small aircraft like the Havok, the Buzzard and the Sea Sparrow near, I mean, we can already do this instantly as a CEO or Road Captain.

The crew I'm in is divided into 4 crews due to the 1,000 crew member limit.

 

It would be a mere inconvenience.

Can't see them make such a controversial change this close to their next release, IMHO.

 

Same for PC folk of late with the mistakes that plague DLC for some. The bad press could hamper RDR2's potential. Bad business I'd suspect.
