So, just out of curiosity, is this long ass soul killing wait for the update just a long ass soul killing wait or was the update delayed? I kind of get the feeling it was delayed and judging by the Jester Crapssic and it's most splendiferous quality (cue an eye roll so powerful it could knock the rotation of the planet off it's axis) a delay wouldn't surprise me because quality as of late has been way less than great. 

 

Just wish they'd throw us a bone. Even a tweet or Facebook post saying "Get hyped. Update in a few days." or "Hey, we know you're getting impatient, but next week it'll all be worth it!" would be nice. Something...anything.

The broad blanket term is dance music. EDM is associated with acts like Calvin Harris and Steve Oki etc.

 

House music I associate acts like Kerri Chandler, Black Madonna, Frankie Knuckles etc.

 

People that know understand, I attend many House events, EDM is never mentioned, Leave that term to Vegas pool parties.

 

Anyway, I’m looking forward to the new songs.

Yeah. Music is so diverse and much has grown. I mean, there's genres overlapping everywhere now. And new ones that age me too, lol.

 

Would be good if we do get a 'less mainstream' side to the music coming too as not all like the same and I love to see great diversity out there, This could be great to see/hear just with the music side of this all. Bit more Aphex Twin, The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim or some DnB too (For me, lol). Hardcore metal/rock too for the mosh pit bunch, anything really. (Much like the actual clubs I hope - Good varied customisation and themes). I love my dance/house/trance etc. But even my tastes aren't limited to just these.

Yep - the description shows which update patch included that item, not when/after which update the stuff got unlocked.

 

It's going to be funny when (if) R* release the currently-locked Maisonette 9 Liberty City tee (not to be confused with the forthcoming Maisonette 9 Los Santos tee) - assuming it comes out this year, it'll still say 'Part of Finance And Felony' or similar, even though that update was over two years ago... :sigh:

I personally think its fixed 100%. R* pretty much looked like a horses arse last week after lining everything up for the 17th and not being able to keep that way. I mean we can all honestly say whether you were team 17 or 24 originally it was definitely setup to release on the 17th.

I love the positivity. I'm hoping for a trailer tomorrow, we get more info from that BBC DJ's show on Friday, Social Media teases or stills during the weekend!  The 24th feels so far away and the 31st is in the next decade for me. That's how far Tuesday feels for me so I'm gonna (jive?) with your positivity.

House music IS a type of EDM. EDM is a blanket term for all sorts of electronic music as other users have mentioned. 

 

Dance music is stuff like the waltz, swing music and disco. 

 

 

OT: I'm hoping we can play already existing songs in our Nightclubs. Some of the stuff on Fly Lo and Radio Mirror Park would be perfect for clubs.

I think we're just talking across purposes. Different terms mean different things in different parts of the planet. Don't worry too much about the "filing" just enjoy the tunes.

like others have said, they were in the game, just not made available for us.

 

R* does this alot, at the moment there are around 30+ pieces of clothing that i know of, that are in game but not available to us.

 

case in point, the "vanilla unicorn" shirt, this one was in the game since may 2016 and was released just a few weeks ago.

We’re they calling Chicago House EDM Back in the 80’s...... don’t think so. Once again EDM is a newish genre which is not associated with real house music. You can disagree with me all you like. Anyway it’s off topic. Let’s look forward to what this update has to offer!!

Im going to speculate about the nightclubs if you dont mind. I think theyll be on maze bank foreclosures, the icon will be a tequila w a pink background (on the site). The frigit warehouse in la mesa will be one of them. (Played a role in the story mission mr richards)

I wonder if we'll get any new weapons. I'd be happy with some MK2 upgrades, but if I'm honest, some actual NEW weapons would be greatly appreciated.

I'd love if they add grenade launcher MK2, with addition of 3 grenade type: (1) Airburst: deals smaller damage from normal grenade but thrice blast radius (2) Incendiary: same effect to incendiary aircraft bomb (3) Flash grenade
