Pete Tong is probably more famous in the UK and Europe but I believe he moved to LA back around 2013.

Rockstar seemed much more confident to give us info on the newswire. Which does lead me to believe they were unsure about a 17th release. Keeping my eyes peeled for tommorow morning .

If we do get a Newswire tomorrow maybe she has the go ahead to talk a little about the music side of the update, other artists appearing on the soundtrack etc. on Friday.

 

I'm not expecting her to talk to Pete about the gameplay or anything like that.

BBC on it's own, no. But this is BBC Radio, specifically the EDM side of it. The four artists mentioned are popular electronic music producers, and DJ's. If you put it all together... it makes perfect sense.

one of the worlds most prominent electronic music radio host releasing information about 4 artists who are releasing new music in a video game makes no sense? Ok then. He's worked alongside at least a couple of the DJ's in the game in Ibiza too....

Yeah thats what I'm hoping for. Official trailer tomorrow, radio promos on the next day.

They are house DJ’s. As a Vinyl collector of house music I find the word EDM insulting.

I understand why you're saying this, I also hate the mainstream garbage. But at the end of the day, it is EDM. This is electronic dance music, the only difference is that these DJ's are actually amazing.

I feel a need to add my speculative 2 cents.  I feel that the treasure hunt weapon will simply be added to our weapon wheel once found, just like the golden revolver.  Crossing my fingers that it is a Winchester type rifle.  I think that with all of the money laundering talk that R* is putting out it means that the niteclub is going to become a central business hub that allows you to manage all of the business and purchase all supplies through the computer in your living quarters at the niteclub.  I think that all sales will still have to be initiated through each of the respective businesses.  I think the club interiors and staff will be able to be upgraded and customized like the other properties we have.  It would be sweet if our crew tag is up on the wall like in the Facility.  I truly hope that R* does not make it so that other players have to visit your club in order for it to conduct business, that feels like it would be truly counter-productive.

It’s not. It’s Tech, Minimal, Disco House Music. The theme song to the trailer (Metro Arena) is not EDM. Once again please do not associate that genre with house music.

I've been thinking, what if there's 2 different properties that go hand in hand with each other similar to the MC\Office & MC_Biz\Warehouse?

 

Like you can buy a Nightclub & have access to some stuff similar to VIP work & MC contracts alongside clubbing & whatnot. But you'll need a separate property to store the Speedo, Mule, Patriot & Pounder & take full advantage of the dlc's business side.

EDM from what I've seen is just a broad blanket term for those on the outside to label anything that's electronic, from drum n bass to house to techno to hardstyle. TBH getting too caught up in the genre labelling gets boring anyway, if it's a good track, it's a good track. my $0.02

That's pretty much how I see things. I don't collect vinyls, I'm not a music connoisseur, I just listen to the music I like. To me, anything electronic can come under EDM. I'll class Deep-house, Nu-disco, and old school Breakbeat as EDM. Anyway, getting slightly off topic.
