Guys, keep in mind that Rockstar does like to sometimes tweet VERY LATE like with I/E the night before release so just MAYBE even if we do not get a Newswire update today, they just might tweet this evening that the clubs are opening tomorrow. 

 

Or, what if Rockstar convinced Sony, MS, and Steam to release the DLC tonight in the USA instead of tomorrow morning?  Heists released at midnight eastern time if I’m not mistaken.

A delay from 7/17 is only result of someone's imagination. They never announced 7/17 as the release date. So there's no delay.

Same here. I took great advantage of all the 2 × payments last few months, including the double Heists from several weeks past. So I too have got quite a bit of cash burning a hole in my pocket!

For now we can speculate and fight all we want... it doesn't matter at all.

Just my luck it will be tomorrow with loads to do. Saying that I have loads to do for the next month or so and I won't get much GTA time anyway so I doubt I will have time to enjoy the update as much as others anyway. I just want it to drop so I can spend a few hours setting it up and to see what is what. Saying that I always get excited about DLCs and then get bored of them soon after as they are all exciting at first then its "get this, deliver that" nonsense

Don’t go all triggery SJW on me  The teaser clearly stated “July”, so it’s going to be either on the 17th, 24th, or 31st.

Expect big disappointment, because it's Rockstar.

 

Gonna copy paste that, because it still stands correct.

Before the hype hits the fan tomorrow (if they actually annouce something) keep in mind that in the end everything maybe crashing down. This is Rockstar we are talking and they like to deliver amazing looking realistic steak that tasets meh at best in the long run... 
They may not open Bahama Mamas, Tequila-La-La or any other already existing club outside of some missions and we will only have those meh looking warehouses.
They may not bother improving Jester Classic outside of simple bug fixes.
This can seriously f*ck up the Swinger.
They may not add any new clothing nor hairstyles.
They may not give us any new weapons.
The nightclub bussiness may be just another reskin, with extra option to access other businesses from one laptop. 
Nightclub bussiness may in the long run make less money that it is actually worth to run it.
All the new songs maybe available only in our nightclubs (I mean it's totally not my style of music, but if they are locked behind the paywall aka cost of nightclub, cost of upgrades etc, I'll be slightly upsetti).

 

TL;DR: just expect that this update may suck, because it's Rockstar after all and they like to hit and miss when it comes to the updates.

You know what I'm personally the most excited for? The soundtrack. No, not just the new music from the five DJs, but the background ambient music. Gunrunning, Smuggler's Run, Doomsday and SSASSS (to an extent) left me without words with their great background beats. Wonder what Nightlife will do.

If I am not mistaken,  RS announced the month for the I am Never a hipster update on the Newswire and it didn’t come out till the next month.  Or maybe it was hiests.  Either way, they aren’t good with deadlines.  This is what has me worried.

He stated that he doesn't like to give dates because they always change knowing rockstar, i dont ever remember him saying he doesn't know the dates....
