Trailer tomorrow (16th), along with some other hype (photos, videos of dance scenes, and more). DLC Tuesday (17th), along with all the bonuses (offices, facility, yacht, pounder, etc.).

R* actually does have a community manager, they have a whole team as a matter of fact. There's 3 ppl. If you've ever seen an official R* livestream? That's them. "Klang" is in charge. They also handle their various social media outlets ig Twitter, FB, IG etc. They certainly don't function as a standard community management/community engagement team, however they absolutely do exist

Klang .. I thought she was from the livestreaming team.

Exactly. Which at the time was the up-to-date and current info. Something obviously changed, however. 

 

A side note to anyone else who reads this (as I know Mach already knows) - Fun doesn't have a source, he's essentially a data-miner. Yan, however, does in fact have a source. Thus his info comes sooner and before there's even any data to suggest it (like how he announced the existence of this Nightclub update weeks before anyone else). In fact, you guys wouldn't have even known about it when you did had it not been for Yan. So really, say what you will about all his "crypitc" hints as of late, but he still deserves much credit for his announcing it first, as he's done many times in the past.

No I am good,  cryptic nonsense is stupid, and the fact that the follow up message was "good luck figuring this one out LOL" makes it sound even more messed up, I appreciate Fun for doing what he can to let us know about his findings, same goes for Mach, Yan has been correct multiple times that's for sure, but that crap from two weeks ago is just stupid, he should know better than that, and before you come in and say "maybe he can't say.." nobody forced him to say a damn word, if he can't say he might as well not post cryptic garbage and then show up a week later and still doesn't confirm what it is.

 

Oh and Spider and Wildbrick, they also posted about the guest list stuff.

It's arguably the least hands-on community manager job ever, no doubt. I actually had a glimmer of hope at the end of last year when I saw that R* NYC was hiring for a community manager, as I thought maybe they were either getting someone to be more proactive or just replacing her or whatever... but yea, no dice. Apparently they just added a team member.

Nope, not gonna say "maybe he can't say" but I will say "ppl are lucky he even WILL say." Cryptic hints, at least imo, are better than nothing.

True, and I appreciate Yan's hints. But whereas Yan's sources can sometimes be unreliable (e.g. I'm Not A Hipster Part 2), Fun's source - the game itself - is pretty bulletproof. It's pretty clear that this update was always intended to be the 17th, so if there was a last minute change that's hardly Fun's fault.

Agreed, and Yan knows that too, and runs the risk to leak sh*t early. And with the nature of game dev, especially with R*, things can and do change at the last minute fairly often... esp release dates.

You also have the option of just ignoring Yans posts if you choose, if his hints bother you that much.

Sure, I can ignore posts, except for the fact that entire thread went on rage mode over some vague negative number two weeks ago if you remember, can't ignore the entire thread can't you?

I also don't like using the ignore feature if that's what you want me to do, doesn't matter how much I'm disagreeing/disliking some people's posts in here, I read their posts anyway and reply and give my opinion about them, and yan is no different.

Yea, see, it doesn't really bother me all that much. And honestly, I'm not really sure why it seems to get to you so badly, and I'm truly sorry you feel that way about it. Maybe try not reading his posts?

 

And again, like it or not, I would rather he give hints and accurate info than he not share anything at all. It's not my fault it seems to bug you (or maybe even others so much). His info has been quite accurate, so I say hey, keep it coming!

Are people not expecting the DLC to come on monday because of the event Fun leaked? Because I'm not the brightest mind on the face of this planet, but the event weeks aren't related to guest list rewards. R* clearly pointed out that we'll get rewards every week, and every single one of the upcoming guest list rewards contain items from the upcoming update, unless R* pulls out a d**k move on us. As for Yan, I am sure he's just playing with our minds, that's the point of riddles and saying stuff like "See you in two weeks". I'd rather keep focusing on the straightforward information from Foxysnaps rather than getting caught into Yan's mind games.

Well, there's been a little more to it than that, but yea, kind of lol! Me personally? I'm going with the 24th, as that's what someone with a source who's been right in the past has eluded to.

Honestly, the 24th is not that far away. It not releasing on the 17th is not the end of the world. I'll be glad when tomorrow passes because then we'll probably for sure know that it's coming or not. One thing Nightclubs is 99% not gonna be is a surprise update.

Wow I didn't wanna believe but yeah now I'm pretty dead set on the 24th, must've been a delay or something. I'm confident they were originally planning on the 17th but something came up.

I just wonder if it's going to be heavy on cars and clothes (really hope so). A few new guns would be great, too. I'm also hoping we can buy more than one nightclub, like with bikers where we could have multiple business... and "business consolidation"(?) So much wondering

Well, just recently Fun leaked that there's likely no new content rewards coming next week. That was a major factor in many ppl speculations about the 17th

The trailer has nothing to do with it. The qabeta and sources claiming it's the 24th do. Everyone gets so skeptical of the sources and I have no clue why. And I'd love to be wrong but I'd also hate to believe it's the 17th and get disappointed.

Not me at least, it's just that Mach being dead set on the 24th and the logical speculation by others on the day being the 24th kinda swayed me, and now that event week Fun posted seems too large to come out alongside the DLC. I'll be very pleasantly surprised if it comes out the 17th, but I'm not gonna let myself be disappointed, so I'll wait for the 24th.
