The info Fun got from my offer only provides info on discounts. I don't think he or anyone else knows what bonuses there will be in the coming week for money making.

That's because that information isn't obtainable until after the event week is live. Only the discounts.

 

And yes, but never major discounts like these and never on businesses on the same day as an update.

Research... old me bought 5 large crate warehouses when they released and that no one really knew about the raids. Thought I could sit on full warehouses... I was wrong. But it's cool, R* temp banning me for no reason resetted both my characters, so now I just have one that I'm not using.

 

A lot of people see something and they buy it, then post on Reddit asking how to make money with their newly bought counterfeit money business.

Even with the upgrades you can make more money robbing stores faster than 3 post op trucks can drive through the hills

and it doesn't mean it's coming either, hence why 17th is still an option until Tuesday, if it's not 24th it is, if it's not 31st it is .. if it's not 38th it is..

If it's not July 2018 ... July 2019 it is ..

Its possible that they will combine them or improvise another week for the guest list but I think its way more likely that it will stay as it is.

And we never had dlcs that combine all bushinesses as well. So you can't rly compare it to anything.

I'm currently on both teams
80% for - trailer on 17th / dlc on 24th
20% for - trailer on Monday / dlc on 17th

A very fair point that I'd not considered properly to be honest. (Though I do feel we won't see strong sales. But if an office/Clubhouse is key too, I can see those maybe, you know?)

Still hope for the 17th. People say they never discounted stuff on DLC release... but since PC release, they never skipped Qabeta updates either... yet here we are, with a dead Qabeta. They went from no trailer, to trailer on DLC day, to vague infos 3 months early, to a poster on some DJ twitter 2 months before any official words, updates out of nowhere (even if they're small)

 

I mean, honestly, it's hard to set a precedent on things that R* do now because they're all over the place.

Good point. Im mostly for 24th at this point but 17th still makes sense.

the existing lists won't update. rockstar seems to have the server space to burn so instead of editing existing files, they upload, new, separate ones. same thing is with actual updates, instead of changing the original file(s), they stack an updated copy on top of the existing one.

 

if the guest list has changed, we won't see it in the existing links. they'll have a "v2" uploaded at some point, and since we don't know how exactly they're gonna name it, we're unlikely to have anything before the day.

dunno if that's normal or if it's done to vary the deadline between people. both this week's and next week's have two versions.

 

also worth noting that the shark cards discount + game discount were both uploaded on the same day. it's most likely standard procedure for rockstar to upload 2 weeks in advance so this probably doesn't mean anything though.

Until the guest list week 3 json file gets edited, I'm still expecting the update this Tuesday. 

 

EDIT: from Wildbrick's post it seems like they'll just use a V2 version, so I guess we have to wait until Tuesday

 

With respect to the discounts for next week, normally that would be a big red flag... but we know that a big part of this update is about business consolidation. It's hard to sell someone a property or vehicle that consolidates businesses if they don't own any businesses. So discounts on the businesses still make a lot of sense on release day. 

 

As to the discounts on yachts and facilities: perhaps they are tied into business consolidation as well, in some way? 

 

I see the Akula, Hunter, and Avenger discounts as something that could potentially tie into the business consolidation aspect too. It's not unusual for Rockstar to discount ancillary things that make their new content more attractive to buy. 

 

I guess we'll see in a few days.

Yeah, this DLC could be another big step. Like the heists, or the change to 'public only' (Not knocking it in this instance, lol).

 

Potential game changer I feel. I'd love to see lots of little changes like cooldowns on passive or anything similar to enhance this DLC's impact with this consolidating and such.

 

I'd like to embrace the challenge out there, but with less of a one-sided game of it.

I really think what will happen is they are just gonna skip next week and continue with the Guest List rewards on the 24th.

 

Keep seeing people say the 17th is likely because of the json files, but it's simply untrue. They can move those guest list reward weeks to whenever they please, they aren't tied to specific dates.

They probably won't skip, they'll put another one, the loading right now says come back next week.
