What exactly will "Cleaning" our money through our legitimate properties do for those illicit businesses?

So speculation is that the nightclubs will provide an alternative means of "selling" our products from other businesses.

For example MC biker coke can be brought and sold to guests and as far as book keeping it's less suspicious.

For the less informed it's called money laundering. Using businesses to disguise where money comes from. Historically the common avenues were laundromats where the term comes from.

This could also be where the businesses are consolidated.

How much do you think the utility cost will be for our club? 10k or more?

I bet it's going to be around $10k, give or take, considering how much it is for a single biker business and a bunker.

The way I think it will play out, is we have to attract these artists to our club to get them to play there. So we have to build up our club to a certain popularity level, doing freemode stuff. Once that level is achieved, you get a call from Tony or the new artists, you gotta meet with them, aka cutscene, then do a mission or set of missions to "help" them with whatever tasks, as per GTA tradition. Then you get to rinse and repeat for the next artist until they are all "unlocked" and as you complete their missions you can choose who you want to play at your club. Also I think we just have a generic DJ before we get any of them.

As for the business side of it, I believe our clubs will be the "in a warehouse" style of club, and I think that it will have a backroom of sorts, or more like, a back half of the warehouse. This is where vehicles like the Pounder Custom will be stored. Not sure how the old businesses will be tied in, but I think it will be more than just a computer that allows resupplies to be purchased for all of them from the club.

That sounds SO f*cking good.....

I mean, I think we all want some PvE missions added this time. Too bad they'll have that annoying "Two players min" rule slapped on, making you wait an hour for somebody to join and not quit the lobby within 10 seconds

I speculate about $1k if it's an active source of income like hangar, I/E, and crates

$10k if it's a passive income a-la biker/bunker

If its mission access like facility or MOC or high end apts then its be about the same utility cost compared to base price as their counterparts.

Any one of the biker businesses would tie in with clubs just perfectly. You have all the drugs your audience can smoke and snort up. Some money laundring on the side, and fake id's for everybody.

Perhaps they added something where you can allow your nightclub to use resources from your biker businesses to make it run more profitable.

Hopefully if that is the case, they will allow us to restock all biker businesses from one location.

I dont doubt we'll have "test drive" missions for unique vehicles that have a paired discount. Like i/e and gunrunning. I do hope that we can start them in I/O

LIKE SERIOUSLY?

But as far as jobs go I honestly rather then be freeroam jobs and doable in I/O

Essentially this and I haven't done them in awhile but isn't liquor and other similar products applicable from hangar missions?

For bunker we can sell to street gangs...  I mean classy patriots...

CEO crate supplies we have counterfeit electronics. Common commodity sold by drug dealers now. The art and other items pawned onto the trust bond kids.

Is there any products I missed not discussed here or have a comparative in 0wn996's post

I just hope we actually get some nice clothes in this update...last time we got some nice clothes was like in Smugglers Run

going by the fact they are releasing the glowing wireframe suits in the lead to the update, i think we could expect some nice clothes, but also lots of wacky glowing clothes and items.

glowing rave necklaces and glasses, hell maybe a glow sticks as melee weapons 😂

The real question here, where this Warehouse-Clubs will be located?

Cause industrial areas wouldn't make any sense

if the clubs are divided by tier(low/mid/high) the low end ones could easily be located on the industrial area around the docks and cypress flats, i can see new buildings appearing around el burro heights and palomino highlands, sandy shores etc etc theres a lot of open/unused land in the map.

weird since i  still see lot's of jetgriefers these days. it only removed them for like a month max. they are back.

they will never go away.

Before GunRunning there always was a one jet griefer which is domated WHOLE LOBBY of 20-30 players, and was in stalemate condition with other jet griefer if he's showed up.

Now there is not so much griefers, most of them became a tryhard dogfighters with Pyro, which is actually not so bad.

I noticed with every couple of updates R* will give us a brand new griefing vehicle. I bet we'll get one overpower vehicle in this next update as well. Maybe like a mini-submarine that can fire multiple radar guided missile that only targets Deluxos and Oppressors while being fully submerged. That would be awesome :D

Knowing R*, it will be a glowing Dildo, more likely.

This is one of my fav ideas (OK, what I most wanted was upgrading my facility into "BeAT Cave", or transform the Yacht, but R* doesn't work this way). They'll have two, three loadable interiors, and since all it takes on the map is basically placing a marker in front of any big non-enterable building, they can scatter clubs all over the place.

low tier: industrial warehouses

mid tier: shopping malls and similar structures

high tier: prominent buildings like the museums, the stadium, a section of the casino complex, or the churches even

^ imagine melee 1vs1 on Vespucci beach (at night) with these. Or a whole adversary mode dedicated to this. The night will be filled with groans and harrowing squeaky impact sounds.

That sounds way better then those hipstery DJs...

Except Rockstar said "soon be packing out clubs and warehouses across town to lose themselves in." It sounds like we can choose between the warehouse shown in the trailer, or a club similar to Baha Mama's West.

I do think club management will work similar. However, I have a feeling there will be an option to play "freeroam stuff" to increase your clubs popularity or pay to have your club promoted. Instead of reach x ammount of popularity it'll be make x ammount of money:

Popularity = More Revenue

Revenue Milestones = Our Business partner will set us up with a famous DJ

Famous DJ = Increased popularity will the DJ is active = More Revenue = More DJs to hire

Our business partner might want to see that our club is bringing in the money before trying to book us the top DJs. Plus, I have a feeling popularity will be another meter like businesses supplies. Pay or play missions to fill the meter, but over time the meter will decay. 100% popularity = 100% revenue per minute/hour/day. 0% popularity = 0% revenue per minute/hour/day.

I'm not sure if the clubs will tie into the other businesses. Afterall "Manegment is honest work, a tidy way to keep icome from your more seedy ventures wirh Distribution Logistics, The Open Road, SecuroServ and  Free Trade Shipping Co. looking clean as fresh laundry." If we're If we're operating the other businesses out of the club, then the club would be another seedy business venture. The club would have to remain a legitimate business in order to "launder" money from our criminal business ventures.

See, my thing is that they're trying to get all these people to play the game, wouldn't it be a little stupid to immediately try and monetize them heavily?

I'm hoping they'll ease up on it this time. Try to get people to keep playing.

They are trying to monetize new players from the initial purchase.

Online Premium Edition and Shark Card bundles are designed to not only bring in a higher initial purchase fee, but also to normalize paying real cash for in game items.

Players who choose to buy a bundled version the game for the first time have already made a decision to pay extra money for in game content and I'd guess they'd be more likely to buy Shark Cards in the future.

you know ... at this point in this game's life cycle, I'd say "we have enough of those already" but if it only targets Deluxos and Opressors, I say "gimme that"

I'll literally join some lobbies and sit in that thing for hours just destroying those vehicles (unless it's the heist prep ones)

What do you guys think about weapons? Would it be MKII (Assault SMG MKII for P90, Gold SMG for Micro SMG etc.), or the brand new weapons? (Don't really think they'll gonna do Sniper Rifle MKII and call it as advanced sniper, or do Assault Shotgun MKII which is gonna replicate the AA-12 from TBoGT, at least weapon fans would be pissed off about AA-12 is an upgrade of UTS-15)

Hmm, I can see it going down in two ways:

If the Pounder will be an MOC of some sorts then there will be MKII variants of these weapons.

If not, then it’s about time we got actual new guns

Yeah we might not like it but every dlc brings us 1-2 grief vehicles.
My prediction? At some point they will add something like a submarine + Oppressor + Seashark jetski. So its super fast, can dive and jump out of water

Spoiler

shark-submarine.jpg

But they will wait with that for a naval dlc / boat customization first.

Vehicles for night clubs? Im thinking:
- Custom limos (turrets, armor, maybe even countermeasures)
- Custom luxury plane / heli (AirWolf?)
- Pounder Custom / Party Bus (armored, probably smaller MOC)
- Swinger (Austin Powers car, might have spy gadgets as well. Ejector seats and bulletproof windows from this clip perhaps? Maybe even that helicopter as a bonus?)
- Patriot Classic / Weaponized Patriot / Patriot Limo

Speaking of Austin Powers - heres the club (and outfits) I want!

Something that just irks me....

I'm appalled at how Rockstar is okay with giving us all these money making opportunities but hardly showing us a glimpse of what we can expect to buy with it. As if it's somehow hard to grasp that people will most likely play more and grind if they know what's coming. Not even everything, just a fair amount at least.

But no, they would rather we put all our trust into them (because that's worked SO well in the past) and mindlessly grind hoping the update has worthy content to splurge on. That worked wonders for Gunrunning and Smuggler's Run didn't it? /s

Or remember how we had numerous juicy event weeks leading up to the March update only for it to be.... SSASSS. Yeah. I'm good on trusting Rockstar, I was already beyond that point a long time ago tbh.

They would rather keep everything close to their chest and hope we can somehow read their minds and know that everything in the update will be worth blowing money on.

they don't really want you to grind tho...  they would rather you buy Shark Cards...

Hazzardtohimself

What if (potential triggering nightmare fuel anticipation) the Pounder Custom 'missions' follow the same principle as Target Assault, but in freeroam..?

You have a set route to navigate as the driver of your club's customised vehicle (appropriate livery, sound-system [maybe a DJ booth on the back], etc) to drive through NPC populated hot-spots. One or two of your associates on the back are armed with turreted T-shirt cannons that have to be accurately fired into specific coronas en-route, to be collected by said NPCs as a promotion for the club.

The T-shirt cannon projectiles would have the same limited-damage-but-knockdown as (say) snowballs, so limited range and not panic inducing for NPCs.

Just a random thought I had.

Carry on.
