it is clear in my mind that the night club will require resupplies and/or randomly triggered missions to keep producing money.

this is info straight off the mognet

I'm hoping it's basically exactly like how Tommy and CJ gained revenue for their businesses. You just go to the club to collect it over time.

That would be awesome. But somehow i suspect R* won't make it that simple :D

I actually think they will have a little storyline to them to go along with the new artists. Idk I just get those vibes. I definitely think there will be new cutscenes with Gay Tony and the new artists.

Edit: You guys are losing your minds if you think this will be any sort of "passive income" like was in Vice City lol.

Either way, I'm hoping there's no stealing supplies or defending the business involved.

Now that I think of it, pushing drugs through a legit business like a Nightclub is probably what they had in mind.

Damn I would absolutely love this. Would make this dreadful wait worth it.

I'm still not sure about exactly how the new Nightclubs will generate cash for the owners. Is it based on attracting NPC's or can players go inside and contribute to your revenue? Nothing in the trailer seems to stand out and explain this, nor have we seen any vehicles being shown off in the trailer.

Does anyone have any theories about how the new Nightclubs will work?

The more popular it is, the more your secure safe wall will increase. I assume it includes both players and npcs but they can only enter once your club is at a certain stage, and to get to that you'll have to put some grunt work in.

I realize most people don't think Rockstar would be so much of a kind benefactor as to just give the player free money with little work, but I think they'll surprise us.

Although I do think that it would be giving the player money with little work, I don't think it wouldn't require effort. They'll probably move all the raiding missions over to the club (since I believe Fun mentioned something about the raiding being changed recently), and mix it up with Club Management missions like in TBoGT. You protect your club from cops, and would-be thugs. And make sure the clientele is happy. And for this you get money.

Perhaps finally the end of the popular resupply mission wait for your product scheme trend that Rockstar loves so much.

I agree, I think whatever missions will be included in this update (sourcing / selling / whatever) they'll be pretty good, something along the lines of the quality you get with heists.

On the subject of money making, I had a scary thought the other day about it being based on how many players were in the session - the produced stock made the same amount of money as everyone else's, but it'd grow 1% faster for every player in the session (similar to how currently freeroam sales with more rival players get you more money).

Then I thought about PC and crashing from another player, people being kicked out the sessions or simple server lag forcing everyone out and sighed in relief "nah, that sort of setup won't happen". I hope.

Yes please! We'd want that. I'm afraid they'll just give us the old go out n get supplies for the nightclub business again that's all

My best theory is this:

You earn money at night time (probably starting at sunset) when nightclubs are usually open.

During the daytime, you steal stuff like alcohol and drugs to sell at your nightclub.

To maximise your profit, you hire DJ's and pay for advertising, which attracts more NPC's.

After each night, you get a certain amount of money.

(Still haven't worked out the risks involved, but you get the idea.)

Similar here - I reckon that in some form or other, there are going to be instanced missions, similar to Gunrunning, Import/Export, Lowriders, etc., as well as the Freemode business stuff.

And I'm wondering if maybe R* might incorporate the real-life DJs into some larger narrative thing in said missions - bit like how there's a broad arc with Lamar's lowrider missions (as opposed to the largely stand-alone scenarios in Gunrunning and the like).

That'd make the involvement of the celebrity guest artists feel a bit more like something special - particularly since I don't imagine they'll be working at our clubs all the time in regular Freemode (maybe for individual sets occasionally), with us having some generic in-house DJ doing that. In fact, I'm going to take a punt and say that there might be a story arc involving setting up various things with Tony and the celeb DJs to build up your club from nothing - and once you do some of the various missions, you'll unlock the requisite DJ as a guest contact, and every so often you can call them down to your club to do a set.

(or at the very least, that's how I'd do it, if I were designing this update! :pp)

At this point I hope we get an announcement on Thursday. I'm sure some of us will be super-glued to our seats waiting for a newswire.

We definitely need more info. The trailer showed pretty much nothing at all other than Nightclubs and artists.

The way I think it will play out, is we have to attract these artists to our club to get them to play there. So we have to build up our club to a certain popularity level, doing freemode stuff. Once that level is achieved, you get a call from Tony or the new artists, you gotta meet with them, aka cutscene, then do a mission or set of missions to "help" them with whatever tasks, as per GTA tradition. Then you get to rinse and repeat for the next artist until they are all "unlocked" and as you complete their missions you can choose who you want to play at your club. Also I think we just have a generic DJ before we get any of them.

As for the business side of it, I believe our clubs will be the "in a warehouse" style of club, and I think that it will have a backroom of sorts, or more like, a back half of the warehouse. This is where vehicles like the Pounder Custom will be stored. Not sure how the old businesses will be tied in, but I think it will be more than just a computer that allows resupplies to be purchased for all of them from the club.

The real question here, where this Warehouse-Clubs will be located?

Cause industrial areas wouldn't make any sense

See, that again reminds me a bit of some of the Mafia III bar renovation missions, where you do odd jobs for people in order to get them to come and work at Sammy's:

...and I'm more than okay with that. ;)

C'mon, R* - this is the most enthusiastic I've been about GTAO for literally years, don't keep me hanging like this... :p

Find the Society, then the Vault. Within you will find musicality like you've never heard in Los Santos. I think the real question no one has thought about. What exactly will "Cleaning" our money through our legitimate properties do for those illicit businesses? Will there be a bonus to our illicit movements if our Clubs are properly set up? What kind of bonus items do you think we'll receive in our night clubs (like the CEO office's attain level's of money, and illicit items), I wonder how many club layouts will be available?

I don't expect any of the night clubs to be outside the city at all. But I could be wrong, maybe there could be one in Paleto Bay, who knows.

That is interesting. What if the "back" of the warehouse is where we can "safely" store all our different goods and then sell them together. It would be in a sense make them "clean". Sell missions could go through new system tied to Tony. I believe the DJs will ha e missions and unlocks like Mach said.

Lol, I think they will be in LS, but not only on the east side. I think they will be scattered all around the city, with the price matched directly to the "neighborhood". Example is east side cheaper then north side or vespucci. Really hope the vault is one we can buy!
