I'm expecting 30-40 vehicles in total with this update. Considering they have enough content to cover two updates inside just this next one and they need to stretch the drip feed until at least RDR2, it makes sense.

Probably 15-20 on release and the rest drip fed.

I would say that to see around 30-32 vehicles is really for us. One vehicle per week, till December.
6-8 on release and the rest for the drip feed (12 vehicles per update, as said Yan, it will be a collab content from 2 updates + fairly big).

I actually think, that in terms of the amount of the vehicles, it will be biggest update yet (my bet is on 35-40, dripfeed that will last till really long time included). What worries me tho is the quality of them, especially looking at some cars from DH and almost all cars from SSASSS...

Maybe the fear of such thing would be minimalized if I knew that at least they would port some GTA IV vehicles, but it seems that they completely forgot that there are like 50 vehicles still stuck in LC...

Unless they extend the dripfeed all the way to December. this isn't gonna be that long dripfeed (Aug-Sep-mid Oct), but a standard one.

I bet there will be more vehicles than normal because of the lack of updates this year, but not many more. I'd say around 25.

I know many people would rage at the thought of this, but ...I'd be happy if half the vehicles in this update were either 'ports' from IV, and/or just the things already in the game, but which are going to be made purchasable.

Part of the quality issue is who's doing what, but also how much time and whatnot is allocated to each - for instance, the Ellie's a great design and a solid sculpt, but got short-changed on the customisation front. If R* had halved the number of new vehicles in SSASSS, that time could have been spent giving more options to each car.

One thing I am looking forward to is ...actually being able to take part in the core gameplay feature of an update, for the first time since E&OC. Haven't done a single crate thing, supply run, or any of that - likewise, I've only bought a few cars from updates like Gunrunning and Doomsday Heist, and ...nothing at all from FAFF and Bikers.

I still have a nagging worry that R* will fall short on the character customisation/sports cars fronts once again, but that concern aside, I'm hopeful that for me, this'll be the thing that gets me back into GTAO 100% - Editor projects, Snapmatic nonsense, all that good stuff that I'd mostly given up on out of frustration.

DDH had the best variety and quality of vehicles of any update by far.

Well, true, but we also got Streiter, Revolter, SC1, Pariah and Savestra, that although looks amazing, design-wise, has some really terrible decisions made, like unremovable bodykit and bucket seats, for literally no reason...

You realize that RDR2 will be released soon, right? I'm 99% sure that they won't drop another update before or soon after it's released, so yeah, I think it will be extended to December. Look at the SSASSS. It's really small update, and had 16 cars and dripfeed lasted for almost 3 months....

Nightclubs is going to be two updates combined and I'm also 99% sure that it will have massive dripfeed

6-8 on release day for an update as big as this? Lol I seriously doubt that and I doubt they would stretch the drip feed all the way until December. Until mid October makes more sense.

The dripfeed almost always lasts for 3 months though. Even Doomsday did. 91 days man, 91 days. Definitely think the same will happen here, being as 91 days lands right before RDR2.

Yes) According to the past, I guess it will be the same.
Also, I doubt about any update for GTAO this fall. In this point, I totally agree with @MGgames100

Still, I ain't seeing them drop even smallest DLC right before RDR2 and they have to keep "entertained" the people that aren't really interested in RDR2. I guess we will see soon.

Also, unlike 90% of people here, I wouldn't really mind such a big ass dripfeed... I'll just spawn them all on the day one 😛

This is actually a strong theory. For all we know they could be throwing in the Christmas and New Years content which would have most likely came along with the "second" update. Though a 5-6 month dripfeed is way too long. Thats literally half a damn year nearly.

I know that they'll only release 1 update between now and October, but I'm not sure if they'll extend the dripfeed further than the release of RDR2 or not. I know a freaking car or a crappersary mode won't overshadow the first weeks of RDR2, but maybe they want 100% of the spotlight for RDR2 between October and December. That cuts time for GTAO.

Might be part of the reason for the delay, too - a toss-up between: 1) the usual June release, but an over-stretched drip-feed that outstays its welcome even more than usual, or 2) a later July release, but with the regular-sized drip-feed winding up just in time for RDR2, with no need to stall for time.

Oh no I agree of course there will not be any update until Christmas at the earliest.

I also think people are really overestimating the "2 updates in one" talk. Doomsday was two updates in one. I don't see this update being bigger than that one.

at that time lots of ppl will ignore GTAO. RDR2 will take us away from it)
and mark my words, GTA loading screens will be totally Red :)

Obviously we won't see a fall update for GTAO but that doesn't mean the drip feed for Nightclubs has to stretch all the way until December. There'll simply be nothing in GTAO from mid/late October to mid December. RDR2 will absolutely be their top priority at that point. There'll be plenty content from Nightclubs anyways to keep people satisfied all the way until December if they're not interested in RDR2.

I do think we'll see another update in December for GTAO.

This is kinda going back to the earlier discussion, but I'm fairly sure that combining all the businesses was meant to be a seperate thing, but probably out of lack of the time they just slapped it on the nightclubs... It just doesn't really feel nightclubby for me at all.

I tend to expect an update in December anyway, but whether or not night clubs will be stretched into December is kind of up in the air. I think they will extend the drip-feed into November, and then nothing else until December. I believe in terms of vehicles there will be at least the same amount as the DDH, if not more.

Using a legitimate business to cover illegal businesses sounds like a good idea to me

If this really does make our businesses 'legit' then could the cops be called once c*nts/noobs start chasing cargo and try to blow it up?

Well considering the feedback the Jester Classic received meant that Rockstar had to hold it back and fix it for a future date, should put the Devs on high alert, as they now know they need to check twice before releasing poor quality vehicles.
However less can be said about those extra ruined modifications (Extra guns, Extra Bodykits etc.) I agree those are hideous but I honestly believe they are innocent intentions (Streiter was never meant to be a standard wagon and the Comet Retro was suppose to be an RWB not a standard comet, for example and so much more).

Also baring in mind this upcoming update is the first update after GTA IV 10th anniversary and is themed similarly to TBOGT, I would be optimistic about seeing returning GTA IV vehicles.

Is this speculation, or did you actually hear this somewhere?

I mean, sure, but so far it doesnt look like laundering at all... It seems like it will be two seperate things that will probably just set in one building aka the nightclub. One will allow you to just start any of the bussiness missions woth maybe a combined warehouse and other will be just clean profit from nightclubs.

Considering they have been doing that with vehicles since the very first few updates of Online, I'd say it's very intentional. Probably a combination of what they think will sell well and that the dev's think is cool.

@eyman You know what, I actually didn't read that part correctly. What you said about those vehicles having (possibly) unnecessary add-ons that you can't remove makes sense to me. The Caracara is probably a damn good example IMO.

Although it should, it's the only one that they will actually fix, rest got a pass... They definitely won't fix abysmal scaling on the Flash, Tyrant, Taipan, they definitely won't add more customization for Ellie, they won't fix those dumb tuning decisions that they made with Issi Classic... One out of sixteen that actually got bad rep ain't that bad if you look at it that way.

I mean, I hope it is true, but last time I checked, the only thing that we actually got for 10th Anniversary of IV was complete removal of Vladivostok FM and few other favorite songs of mine (BASTARDS TOOK MY BOWIE!), so you know, I wouldn't be surprised if we will get jack sh*t when it comes to IV cars...

i personally see them extending the dripfeed til mid november, they may want all the attention on rdr but they also have to keep some crumbs for those that simply dont care about cowboy games.

so yeah, if the update drops on the 10th as expected, i say the update comes with atleast new 20 vehicles and other 15 locked for dripfeed, one per week starting on the 24th, stretching til november 13 by skipping the rdr release week and the week after.

I personally don't see them putting anything out in GTAO around RDR2's release, not until at least December. Doing so otherwise would just be counterproductive.

They'd be smart to let us at least transfer some aspect of our GTAO character to RDR2 Online. That would be more than enough incentive for existing GTAO players to give RDR2O a shot. Kinda like when we transfered our character from last gen to this gen and got free stuff.

Probably a % of your GTAO bank balance towards your RDO account...

They already have tied the two games together with the Double Action Revolver, if you got it in GTA Online, then you get a version of it in RDR2.
