Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 6)

I just hope for 2x money that interests me tomorrow. I had hit my goal of thirty million last week, and then spent a few mill on a Stromberg and an Akula. Which made my account dip to twenty six mill. So far I was able to grind, and get back to twenty eight point three million.

I can’t see any way the update comes on the 24th. It will be the 10th or the 17th. My money is on the 17th.

 

I honestly don’t know why everyone keeps freaking out about the lack of QA Beta updates. They could start updating QA Beta tomorrow and release the update on the 10th if they want. There’s no set amount of time between QA Beta updates and update dropping.

I made 5 million with the 2x crates and biker businesses.

And i hope for 2x on gunrunning sales bc i have finally completed all the research, and import/export.

Before the hype hits the fan tomorrow (if they actually annouce something) keep in mind that in the end everything maybe crashing down. This is Rockstar we are talking and they like to deliver amazing looking realistic steak that tasets meh at best in the long run... 
They may not open Bahama Mamas, Tequila-La-La or any other already existing club outside of some missions and we will only have those meh looking warehouses.
They may not bother improving Jester Classic outside of simple bug fixes.
This can seriously f*ck up the Swinger.
They may not add any new clothing nor hairstyles.
They may not give us any new weapons.
The nightclub bussiness may be just another reskin, with extra option to access other businesses from one laptop. 
Nightclub bussiness may in the long run make less money that it is actually worth to run it.
All the new songs maybe available only in our nightclubs (I mean it's totally not my style of music, but if they are locked behind the paywall aka cost of nightclub, cost of upgrades etc, I'll be slightly upsetti).

 

TL;DR: just expect that this update may suck, because it's Rockstar after all and they like to hit and miss when it comes to the updates.

half of those don't count for me because i'm at the point that only the new cars interest me.

so i hope with all my heart that the jester classic is fixed and improved and that all the new cars are great with no flags and other BS stats. 

 

i think that the clubs will turn out okay but the vehicles have me worried ever since SSASS.

I guess I am like a glass half full, very low expectations kinda guy. I have pretty much enjoyed every single GTAO update tbh. So it's a safe bet that I'll enjoy this one too. Especially since at least one vintage car is confirmed.

 The real $ price tag of the DLC definitely helps in my opinion.

Meh, Idc how much anything costs tbh. It's not like the game is gonna get shut down next month or something. Plenty of time to play and earn what I want to buy.

this is exactly what im expecting...

 

i dont see us being able to own or enter any of the current clubs, which would be a shame in the case of the bahama mamas that already have a fully fleshed interior.

I can see Bahama Mamas West being opened up just like Vanilla Unicorn. If sh*t happens, the clubs empties an weapons become available.

Let me rephrase what I meant. 
The fact that I did not have to pull money out of my wallet to experience the DLC makes me less critical of it then if I did have to pay real money for it. 
While tainting my bias it also allows me to experience content I normally wouldn't of.

I'm hoping that they won't give us more Sports-classed cars priced over a million dollars, but I think that dream died in the SSASSS update.

Right now, my bare-minimum requirements are ...more or less what they've been since last-gen machines got left behind:

 

- one actually usable hairstyle

- some new clothes (even just a few items) that aren't oversized/low-res garbage

- an iconic '90s sports car (in fairness, the Elegy Retro happened - but I'd still like something else to keep it company! )

 

R* can add death rays and space bikes and sh**ty-looking paintball outfits until the cows come home, and I'll carry on not giving a hoot about any of it - it's been three years, and I'm still waiting for stuff that wouldn't have been too much to ask back in 2014. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

Not kidding - that's all I've wanted, all this time, and not offices, bunkers, clubhouses, weaponised vehicles, personal aircraft (none of which I've bothered with, because ..nope). Being able to run a club will probably be cool, and it's one of a few business things I'd actually be interested in getting into (the other main one being a proper wheelman/Freemode carjacking thing). But we're well overdue for a good set of character cosmetic items (since Ill-Gotten Gains, even), and after the fumble with the Jester Classic, they really need to make up for that, too.

i feel like all of this will be true anyway, save for the Swinger.

 

im more of a car guy so if there's at least 5 cars I really want from the update then I'll be happy. Sure itd be nice if nightclubs were awesome and all that but if they weren't id probably still enjoy myself.

 

Only thing I really hope isn't going to happen is exclusive music. house music is so good for driving imo and Id love it as a station.

I mean gosh, if all they added was 30 more car slots that'd keep me happy for two weeks... then I'd be booking my ticket for the next hype train.

The only content that I’m expecting(more like hoping) from this upcoming update (besides nightclubs, my guy’s already dressed to the nines, ready to buy one  ) is a Gauntlet Classic, IV SuperGT, IV Coquette, IV Sabre, Hellfury, proper black aviators, and Franklin’s backward caps.

I hear that. I've filled all my slots, and I've already lost enough of my collection to keep pace. I could really do with at least 30 more slots, or in an ideal world, no property cap

Well, in terms of vehicles I do expect myself to be pleasantly surprised. Overall I'm gonna keep my head up about the entire update, which I normally do anyway. I think one of the big questions at the moment is whether or not they will continue to use those flags on the new vehicles. I believe they won't, but I'm not so sure about that.

I'm expecting 30-40 vehicles in total with this update. Considering they have enough content to cover two updates inside just this next one and they need to stretch the drip feed until at least RDR2, it makes sense.

 

Probably 15-20 on release and the rest drip fed.

In general we haven't gotten a lowrider in a while, but considering it's been a year and a half since we've gotten any Benny's cars at all, I don't know when, or if, we will ever get another. I still want that Emperor Custom, damn it!

I actually think, that in terms of the amount of the vehicles, it will be biggest update yet (my bet is on 35-40, dripfeed that will last till really long time included). What worries me tho is the quality of them, especially looking at some cars from DH and almost all cars from SSASSS...

 

Maybe the fear of such thing would be minimalized if I knew that at least they would port some GTA IV vehicles, but it seems that they completely forgot that there are like 50 vehicles still stuck in LC...

DDH had the best variety and quality of vehicles of any update by far. I expect nightclubs to be the same if not better. This isn't a spring filler update, this is one of those major yearly updates. I honestly don't expect to Rockstar to come short.
