Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 6)

At this point, we could all down a few beers and stick some numbers on a dart board and throw the darts blindfold and we'd have just as much chance of getting "the next update's release date" right, as anyone else.  

They'll just release them randomly during boring event weeks to get people logging on. Like they do with some of the locked clothing from time to time.

I'm kinda hoping the Chernobog goes on sale with Double $ on Act 3's finale since the main theme over the last fortnight has been to put the toys related to each Doubled Heist up for sale.

Legit question about Player Actions. Anyone playing right now actually able to perform a Player Action without it breaking your controls?

 

On Xbox One;

If I press both Thumbsticks or even select a Player Action via the interaction menu, I can no longer

- run/sprint

- jump

- pull out a weapon or bring up the weapon wheel

- go into cover

- change the camera

- most interesting of all, if I hold down to change over to single player, the Record options show up, but neither the character wheel or the screen effect that should accompany it comes up.

 

The only way to rectify this is by EWO'ng or getting in a vehicle. If I try doing an action in a vehicle nothing happens either but I still have full control (can drive, shoot and choose weapon no problem) but the character wheel still bugs out.

 

Single Player abilities work fine. So, chances of this being related to new Player Actions being added?

Interesting to know this Night Club update more then likely was developed 2-3 year ago if not earlier. Wasn't there leaked audio of Lester talking about that Casino opening up too? There's still hope!

The discounted hangers are for all the new clothing that the Nightclubs DLC will bring

It's nice having a hangar in zancudo, it's a cool place to have "legitimate" access to and it shows up on the map,

It's more like a peek in the window of what DLCs they had planned for the game originally.

I cant take it anymore, nearly 7 months after Doomsday without a decent size DLC and still no pics or trailer for the next one.

 

Whats even worse is that I speculate its not even gonna drop in July but August instead.

 

Also did they discount businesses allot before, or is it a hint for the consolidation? Seeing them 50% off left right n center in past weeks

should be July, imo.
R* have the sales monthly, but this June is like a Black Friday. Sale on everything is up to 50% for the whole month + double $ on heists. Doubt we will have such big opportunities anytime soon.

Yeah July is perfect as it's the middle of summer as well and we all know Rockstar's affinity for releasing updates in the middle of everything.

 

Doubt we'd have all these money making opportunities right now too if the update was all the way in August.

Yeah indeed, if there's a 2x I/E payout coming I'll be damn sure to have over 16 million cash by the end of it. It may be nothing compared to some people here but that would literally be around 16x more than what I had in DDH dripfeed days (that's when I came to current gen) and when SSASSS came  I'm really doubting that it will happen again anytime soon so I'm warning my friends who play this game with me.

 

Plus, I highly doubt that I'll be buying the next update's content right away, so 16 million is enough for me I think. I'll only buy nightclubs right away if they prove to be immensely advantageous in some way, or really f*ckin cool, so much that their coolness alone will warrant a purchase even if they're expensive. That, however, is very unlikely for someone like me haha, if I get that impressed then the nightclubs will probably receive universal acclaim here in the forums for a very long time because they would be that awesome.

 

My most optimistic expectations are 20 million or so by the time the next DLC drops, it isn't that much for some but for me is a huge fortune hahaha

I agree with Rafae here, I would guess that first week of July is the minimum for us to get some info. Even then it would be a while until we get the update itself. I'm imagining that after the double paying Heists they will give around two weeks of more opportunities, three or maybe four if we're unlucky.

Pretty sure now that they will give double I/E some point after Heists, with so many opportunities it would be odd now if I/E got overlooked.

 

That of course it's just my imagination haha
