any qabeta updates yet? this wait is frustrating!!! really this is taking too long and their is no info wtf -________-'

 

my guess is update will drop on july 10 (tuesday)

 

no dripfeed on july 17...

 

3 months of dripfeed will start on july 24 till october 24

 

RDR2 release on october 26

Waits like this are pretty much the norm. Hell will freeze over before Rockstar is ever upfront with us, and pigs will fly before they ever do another Asked and Answered. All we can do is hope that Fun or Yan find something worth sharing, or someone else that's credible leaks something. Patience, young grasshopper.

Also just to throw this out there, that's why most cars are around 700k-1.2 mil. Those cars are specifically priced to sell the $20 shark cards. The best selling of the bunch.

This makes so much sense, we can actually expect a maximum limit to the prices using this kind of thinking. But damn, my X80 alone is really worth over 40 dollars then? WTF? How the hell they manage to sell so much Shark Cards with them being so overpriced?

 

Now I remembered why I never felt tempted to buy one 😁

Well there are other factors are play as well. Rockstar has stats for everything in the game. For example, they know what the average bank balance is across all active players. Let's say the mean sum for bank balances for all players is in the neighborhood of 1.8 million dollars per player, that means they know they can price the highest vehicles just under 3 million and still sell shark cards just for those specific vehicles. 

 

That's my theory anyways.

The Elegy Retro is a quality work, one of the very very few things in the game that are worth a Shark Card in my opinion hahaha :D I still didn't bought one for mine though 😛

I like your theory, makes sense for me. The entire game is a business anyway, literally a product we're licensed to use. And no business grow big without a plan to take as much cash as possible from the consumers xD And that's where shark cards, toxic PvP incentives and overpriced meme vehicles come in I suppose

Actually makes a lot of sense. Usually things are priced slightly (sometimes a lot) higher than the average player's balance in order for them to play the game or purchase a sharkcard. GTA Online has always been a Pay or Play and I think vehicles are a clear example.

One thing for sure is the hype for the futo, the fq2, patriot and others will be add to website to buy.

 

I cannot wait to buy them and see the message will be delivery to your garage shortly. :D:D

I ain't ditching my stolen, PS3 veteran Futo for a legitimate one though 😁 I wonder why the hell they took so long to add the remaining day-one cars!

 

I would be so hyped if they started to use Benny's Original Motor Works again though :( I hear they stopped using it because of car duping money exploits, what a crappy way to go if that's true. So many possibilities lost

Yeah - that's why I had to resort to a NASCAR toy, rather than the real thing, because it gets confusing. And even then, NASCAR shells still don't have the same sharp edges and lack of detail that some GTAO cars (all by the same artist, I'm 99.9999% certain) exhibit.

 

Heck, even the Hotring Sabre has more detail and depth to the model, rather than looking like an unnaturally smooth plastic shell with stickers - on things like the Lynx, the window frames are so flush with the windows themselves, the whole thing looks like one flat sculpted piece. :blink:

 

And those rear lights - good grief...

That's partly why I hope R* does a full redo of the Jester Classic, instead of just trying to salvage the existing model - I'm hoping that they don't just come away from this whole thing thinking "we just need to add more customisation options", because that still means that crappy-looking models like this get into the game. It's not just about improving the Jester Classic - it's about making sure no new vehicles wind up looking just as bad, too.

 The way I see it, stats are the main factor in what types of vehicles they add, they know what's popular & sells well. That's why we keep getting Supercars despite how the "community" here feels about them, they are very popular with the kids. Imo it also explains the influx of the Sports Classics over the past year (popular with "older" folks) & the lack of Coupes, Sedans & SUVs over the past 2 years. I hope the Hermes, Hustler, Ellie, Yosemite & GTX sold enough to convince them that Muscle cars sell when done right & give us more in the future.

Yeah - and the problem with that is that it results in popular stuff getting followed up with more of the same, because 'that's what's selling well'. Meanwhile, if something doesn't exist in the game, then there's no way to gauge interest/demand, because ...how can you track stats for how much of something people are buying, when there aren't any of those things to buy (and therefore stats to track) - ?

 

That's why it's good R* has mixed things up a bit more over the last year - and why I like how they seem to 'test the waters' with new things from time to time. I get the feeling that people responded well to stuff like Doomsday Heist, where the vehicles were nice and varied, so hopefully that'll lead to a decent mix of stuff again this time.

I hope (and to some extent, believe) that we'll get the Turismo and the Super GT from GTAIV if and when we receive the Nightclub DLC. Also some version of the Mercedes AMG One wouldn't hurt.

The Avarus does have some modifications parts from the TLAD Diabolus and Hellfury, and it’s possible to kinda make it look like both bikes, but not entirely. It doesn’t have the long forks :c

Yep, DDH & SSASSS* had the best variety of cars in years & I hope its a sign of what's to come.

They have updated 271595 branch for qabeta2.

It's nothing significant.

October 17th, 2017: They updated it on the same day they released Transform Races.

March 2nd, 2017: The creation date for the races introduced with Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit.

They use it as a backup of their internal development build to revert back to the public build to make some races.

This is definitely the longest wait between any two updates. It'll be damn near four months since the last update by the time Nightclubs arrive. Seven months since the last ACTUAL content update. Jesus...

 

Last time we had to wait almost this long between updates we ended up getting Doomsday Heists. Fingers crossed for Summer 2018 man....

Got bored, decided to look at when qabeta got updated for SSASSS - Friday March 2nd, with the update coming two and a half weeks later (Tuesday 20th).

 

Assuming the same kind of gap this time, that'd rule out the update coming out on July 10th (unless SSASSS' gap was longer than average), and for a July 17th release, it'd need to be updated by this coming Friday, June 29th.

 

Anyone (Fun?) have a list of all the previous qabeta updates prior to each release? Only other one I could find was for Doomsday Heist: Wednesday November 22nd (with the update itself released on December 12th, nearly a full three weeks later). That'd mean we'd need to be looking at a qabeta update sometime in the next week for the update to make July 17th - obviously around three weeks makes sense, considering that's about how long the approval process needs, IIRC.

Yeah yeah we know "buff bombs".

And we surly will get more updates after nightclubs. Custom boats, maybe tuners, probably something with aliens (scraped sp dlc, right?).
On and maybe that mission creator as the last dlc.

Which was not. In fact, 2 week gap is the bare minimum. 3-4 week gaps did exist in the past. 

 

At this point I ruled out July 10th and I'm starting to rule out 17th too. 

 

And gameplay from RDR2 still to be shown. This company man, this company...........😨

They really ought to show some footage within the next month - there's a digital pre-order bonus item that is only available until July 31st, and while it's nothing huge, it's still there to tempt people to buy the game ASAP. If they do that without showing any actual gameplay footage, that's asking people to buy the game sight-unseen, which isn't great, is it? :/

As I understand it, people can only dupe the value of the accessories onto vanilla chassis, so, you reap what you sow. If the 1990 skyline didn't cost a million dollars to make look like someone crashed into a motor parts store then perhaps Benny's would still be open for business.

But unless they erase the Elegy Retro Custom from existence, people will be duping it as much as they can. I don't see how new Benny's cars with less value than said car can affect cark shards.
