So recently I found out about this laser weapon in weapons.meta

"The Laser[1] is a vehicle mounted weapon that was scheduled to be released in Grand Theft Auto V, but was cut from the final game release. The codes of the weapon can be found in the weapons.meta folder of the game files. Strangely, game code states that it is at the same time a vehicle weapon and a weapon usable on foot, though the later one is a pre-defined flag also used by other vehicle weapons. Its range appears to be the same as most portable weapons."

 

Could be something that was originally planned for that scrapped SP alien dlc. You guys think they might bring something like that to online?

 

Working for the IAA, shooting down UFOs, hunting down aliens with laser guns? or even just a gimmicky weapon for adversary modes?.

Probably for the UFO DLC, yeah.

Maybe what's coming next is the first of several 'business themed' updates that actually allow us to purchase properties and then do <x, y, z requirement> to allow us to collect the business revenue every 48 minutes (one in-game day), in the same style as GTA Vice City and San Andreas assets. That'd be nice.

Only possible in public sessions and others will be able to steal your revenue.

Pretty sure lazer sight attachments were cut from the game. Sounds like that may be what they are talking about, since it would indeed be able to be used on foot and in vehicles. But I am just guessing.

I'd actually take one as new weapons are always welcome. Anything over lazy MK II weapons, even if it's "meme" as some people refer them as.

As is they're pretty broken, after firing off a few rounds you cannot fire anymore even if you change vehicle (the ammo doesn't despawn?)

 

The "enemy laser" is actually used by two cut mystery aircraft: "spmed" and "spsmall"

Okay I heard about nightclubs and stuff... But what is this business consolidation update people are speaking of?

Whatever it is it was pushed back according to Yan. Probably would create an umbrella organization where you could do VIP/CEO work, Biker work as well as the businesses that both can use like running guns and air cargo. Maybe with a new base of operations like a mansion. Also Fun found a new FR event where players compete for various cargo in a battle royale/penned in style event.

Sigh, if they are adding that, it will be the last straw for me, deluxos, vigilantes oprresor those are the mood ruiner in contact missions & heists most of the users had a brain of a horse just blasting through anything destroying the objective instead, seriously i'd rather take clubs or street racing rather than GTA warfare right now, something big just to relax something chillin' not just some reskinned sh*t

I'm going to further speculate about the possibility of a new radio station/soundtrack update. The past few larger scale DLC's that we have received have included a radio addition of some sort.

 

• Smuggler's Run - Blaine County Community Radio update. Featured a new podcast hosted by Ron.
• The Doomsday Heist - Blonded FM. Completely new radio station with fresh new tracks.

 

I think the chance of us seeing a new radio station is pretty likely, as we don't really have any nightclub themed music in game. Soulwax FM is there, but... it doesn't really fit the bill if you ask me.

Thanks, I really need Annihilator custom, i love dogfight, Annihilator guns is verry cool, but armor suck, yes i can easy dodge normal homing missiles, but 2 shots with explosive sniper...,ya is verry balanced!

The thing is aliens fit gta way more then all those "meme" things you just mentioned. Instead of being goofy for no reason its better to try and add new things that actually fit the story. And since your mood is already destroyed - wheres the problem? its not like they gonna remove those vehicles.

 

What we do know? fight npcs and they all behave the same way. Doesn't matter if they are cops, goons or Clifffords "clones/robots". They all behave the same way. All they did during those 4 years is upping HP and accuracy to make things harder (the lazy way to do it)

 

At least with aliens we would had opportunities for something new.

The Business consolidation thing didn't get pushed back, it is in development still, Yan didn't say it got pushed back he said he doesn't know when that is coming out or whether it is part of the next update or not.

 

Usually they make a bunch of content and then they pick what to put in an update, just like most of the cars we got lately, they look like if they were all part of a package and they're just taking 5 or 6 each time and throw them in the active update.

I'm only analyzing whats already in the game. No one said anything about adding lazer guns for players. We already have explosive rounds, we surly don't need anything stronger.
