Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 6)

First, sorry if this is in the wrong thread or someone already said it.

I think that the Nightclubs could work like the Yacht works, as in some areas are accessible by all players in the session, others are off-limits unless you invite players in and you can "set defence mode" - bouncers outside attack unwelcome players/non-friends for example.

In the areas that are accessible to everyone you'd have your dancefloor/stripper poles etc and they would work in a similar way that the hot tub works on the yacht with different animations (in addition to the dance-off Minigame). I'm not sure how pool tables will work, I'm guessing most likely they'll put players in a separate session the way it does with darts. Of course the main bar would be accessible to everyone too.

In invite-only areas you'd have the typical sleeping quarters, bathroom and office as well as a VIP bar. I'm not sure how the real money-making side of things will work though.

These are just my random thoughts, I haven't got any idea of how the game mechanics work so I've no idea of what I've written is feasible or not. I only hope they do a good job of it and that it's something new.

I reckon it'll be like a cross between Maisonette 9 from TBoGT, and yeah, existing Freemode business properties like clubhouses (i.e., people have to buzz the thing to be let in, or you can invite them in, but it's not possible for randos to just walk in to your unique property uninvited).

As for the minigames and suchlike, we've already got stuff like Don't Cross The Line on the office TV, or the dartboard in clubhouses - so if they did pool/poker/whatever, it'd probably work in a similar way.

For more unique, involved things, I can totally see them adapting the dancing minigame from TBoGT in a manner more like Freemode events - i.e., instead of just 'pass or fail' as a solo thing, you can do it with friends/other players, and whoever makes the fewest mistakes gets the highest score.

Much like how any other property works, want players to be in there; you have to invite them.

Personally I don't think clubs will make a load of money, mainly only because clubs are open at night.

So if 5 players in the same session all own the same most desirable club, will we be prompted by a buzzer screen like apartments or what??

Anybody else reading Tye Gordon's post in Brucie's voice? Lol.

my guess that it'll be a passive income for us while we do the missions we get paid...unless they have selling missions for illegal stuff in the back....which is why I think the business consolidation will happen in this update because they could add a hidden warehouse to the night club that we can do stuff with...so yeah

If this nightclub thing comes, that's probably the first buisness I will not get into.
Since I switched from the PS3 version to the nextgen version, I thought there was something big going towards the ocean.

Some will still remember, back then to the PS4 version RS gave us the free Kraken for online mode, but the underwater animal world was finally (first?) only for single player.

Well, if I think back then there was a reason why we were given the little submarine. Maybe RS changed his plans, but to this day I am waiting for this change in this pretty dead ocean.

I personally have enough of all those buisnesses, except if I could buy this damn aircraft carrier! ; ) RS should do more in terms of fun, adventure & exploration.

A Mad Towel

ooooooooook

if its a truly nightlife update....

it needs 5 things

1. edm club

2. clothing/hair

3. club dance music/ because what we have isnt very cluby and i wouldn't dance to it.

4. minigames like the drinking one lol

5 portable music play.....its 2018 why i cant listen to my songs on the go. hello spotify......

bonus. Chrysler 300c

bonus 2 more interiors for each club....not copy and paste like new ones.

that i would give 50 in shark card if they do it right.

About hair I'd like to see long hair at male characters

One other ongoing mechanic I've suggested before: mob shakedowns!

As in, what if you're running the club as a front for someone like Madrazo - every so often, he sends the goons round to collect his cut, and so the club needs to be operating at a certain level of profitability/activity at that point, or else he'll get them to wreck sh*t...

Not sure about clubs being a source of passive income, though - not one that'll be a game-changer in terms of how players make money, at least. I suspect that clubs, like with everything else, will wind up being an up-front money sink, and it'll take a fair amount of active play to make a return on that 'investment' before turning a profit.

In my personal opinion I feel Bahama mamas should be the only club off limits and free to the public and should operate like the strip club cause its very confusing on how its gonna work if multiple people are going to own it.

FrugalDangerMan

Maisonette 9 around Vinewood Boulevard I reckon. All underground too.

won't be too surprising for that to happen...I will be however surprised if they put Vanilla Unicorn up on the site (most likely Maze Bank Foreclosure)

I doubt the Vanilla Unicorn will be available (owned by Trevor?), however there is another strip club in Los Santos. Up, on West Eclipse Blvd, across the road from Spit Sides. You will occasionally pop in to single player as Franklin just outside that location if you ever get booted out of online. Apparently there is a full interior design for the property, so......

tequila la's? yes it has a full interior (thanks to FiveM we can go into it)...but that'll be 2 maybe 3 (at least) in the city...there is one out in Paleto as well

Nope. Hornbills

I think the small entrance before you get into the nightclub will be accessible from outside.

It would be protected by guards asking for your permission or VIP Ticket aka invite, once you're done with that, you will load the nightclub for your friend or the specific player who invited you.

I can see that as well...but I was just putting into prospective on how they could include the consolidation of the businesses by having a secret warehouse in it...but the passive income would be a change and a surprise on R*'s end

I still reckon 'consolidating existing businesses' is literally just merging bits from the two organisation types (MCs and SecuroServ), nothing more. Probably won't factor in to the main body of the update, even - it'll be some incidental detail, like how R* changed Heists vehicles from being 'unlocked by completing setups' to 'unlocked from the start - completing those missions now unlocks the trade prices instead'.

In fact, trade prices are a good comparison: R* created them for Import/Export (and used them for subsequent updates, too), and then retroactively applied them to Heists vehicles. Likewise, considering how 2017 properties (hangars, bunkers, and facilities) don't require an office or clubhouse first, and can be used by either organisation type, I'm putting my money on R* doing the same with vehicle warehouses and LJT things. That's it for the consolidation thing - nothing more than that.

I hope mansions also released alongside with nightclubs. I mean it's kinda stupid how we get a bunker and underground facility but not mansions and nightclubs in f*cking California.

What about little things like appplying that red radar thing that appears when doing Bunker supply runs/sales to all kinds of cargo/supply runs and sales?

Maybe some game changing things like being unable to lock on crates and MC Business supplies and sales, maybe being finally able to steal them from other players instead of only being able to blow them up?

Maybe finally being able to use the Cargobob for all kinds of supply vehicles too?

Changing the look of the supply/stock bars in both MC Businesses and the Bunker so they both have an unified look?

Things like that.

EDIT: almost forgot! Being able to destroy a supply vehicle and retrieve its supplies or cargo on it like in Smugglers Run would be great too!

Yeah - basically, all the stuff that's become standard with Gunrunning, Smuggler's Run, etc., I reckon they're going to retroactively apply to the older things.

Wonder if they'd do something as drastic as let certain Special Vehicles become garage-able Weaponised Vehicles instead - I think that might be a step too far, though...

Mansions will be here soon enough. Just not with Nightclubs. They would overshadow the nightclubs, IMO.

Expect Mansions by the end of the year or at some point in 2019. My money is on the end of this year.

I don't think that will really be a problem with Special Vehicles. We just have a Ruiner that can jump and parachute and an amphibious ATV and pick-up truck.

I have no idea what to expect with any business aspects of the night clubs, but of course I would love a business that functions similarly to the ones in story mode or older GTA's where you just get a small payment every now and then, and that's it. Who the hell knows if R* will allow that.

Also, is something wrong with the website? Every time I start a new paragraph, some random text keeps showing up.

I think the main issue would be reclassifying existing cars - in the past, R*'s had to convert them into a new, separate variant. I mean, maybe they could do that, but then that'd also mean the vehicle storage area in warehouses would ...probably wind up half-empty, unless the conversion process works two ways.

I don't see them changing things up too much - with things like doing LJT/Open Road stuff as a CEO, it's just a case of adding clubhouse computer functionality to office computers, and the same with adding CEO work to MCs and clubhouse computers. Meanwhile, trying to make special vehicles into personal vehicles opens up a pretty complicated can of worms.
