Speculate that this consolidation update will add new vehicles and rework old businesses. Import export might get new collections of vehicles for example. Perhaps older businesses will be updated to interact 'better' with other vehicles, allowing F&F warehouse vehicles to be hooked with cargobobs for example.

Maybe having all delivery / cargo vehicles impossible to be locked on to - some already share this trait so they may extend it to all of them for consistency. I would also imagine if they're working on consolidating older content, perhaps older vehicles will receive balance changes. Here's hoping they clean up menus too.

If they're gonna merge the current businesses, removing raids or making them 10 times more rare is pretty much a must, so we can use CEO helicopters for quick transportation without a sneaky raid popping up in the coke lockup at the worst time possible.

If they gonna bring VR support its gonna be for SP, not online.

 

I started playing GTAO since mid 2016 and I can say the Southern San Andreas Super Sport Series is the worst of the worst DLC I've ever had.

 

but Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicle Circuit came out in that time period, just last March, and it only had new races for the I/E special vehicles, which we are getting for the DDH in SSASSS, and the Progen GP1 on the day of the update, SSASSS had 5, then only 4 more dripfed vehicles and the Special Stunt Race addition to the creator, SSASSS has/had 11 dripfeed vehicles, 2 adversary modes, 2 new race types, and creator additions.

 

imo most of the vehicles added are great, with the exception of the handling flags. and The Vespucci Job is freaking brilliant, soo much fun.

Cause its Cunning Stunts tracks for the... 5th time by now? or maybe more?

First time was interesting, sure. But it gets more lazy and boring (and more broken) with each iteration they make...

And its not even anything special this time, Its something that could be easily done in creator by a random person with some basic skills...

You can make the most delicious dish in the world but if you reheat it over and over again its still gonna taste like sh*t no matter now much ketchup you put on top of it.


Number of vehicles? It all depends on how long the dripfeed will be, thats it.

 

 

My point is there is five times the amount of content than we got last March, and most of it is good. I love most of the new vehicles, could do without the new flags. Target Assault Races are new and fun, and The Vespucci Job is one of the best adversary modes we have ever gotten.

yeah, I also like couple vehicles from this dlc. But thats just a small (broken)part of a small dlc. I should be happy just because we had small and lame dlcs before?

Theres rly no need for lazy sh*tty filler updates if you are "the best selling game of all time" and all that, right?

So I totally understand when internet screams "worst update ever!". If its bad its bad. No reason to pretend otherwise.

So, just to clarify; this only applies to Biker and Bunker businesses? The Small, Medium and Large Special Cargo Warehouses can still be raided, yeah?

I doubt it'll offer any more profit margin than the current businesses. I think they hate that you can make 300k an hour with just the bunker and coke businesses while playing missions or 400k an hour if you do crates.

Probably a Rockstar's punishment for having high hopes.Maybe this means that the next and final big update, the so-called consolidation of all business (also considering the speculations regarding things like freemode events and biker business being reworked) will be a huge thing, enough to justify this edition (and would also be included natively in this bundle of course). So I tried tie Issi classic today and really it wasnt as enjoyable as i hoped, idk something about driving it didnt feel right, not to mention my friend showing the mods and apart from not too appealing mods, there were a few missed opportunities, eg classic center gauge dash, clubman front, the silly little push bars from the panto, and the liveries were just unappealing in general.

After they pay for the game, R* wont care tbh. At some point R* will move on to Gta next. The Premium Edition being postponed till the next dlc, yan's leak about the next dlc being the Last Update, and strauss zedick's press conference where he literally said "they have to rest the series in the near future", all mesh well with each other. Has any other game released a Premium Edition, then kept releasing more content afterwards? I cant think of any. Gta5 already "Jumped the Shark" with the oppressor n deluxo anyway imo.

Absolutely not, because the upgrades are also cosmetic. You still pay to get the security cameras, etc.

 

If it was just some background perk, then maybe, but we actually get physical things when you buy the upgrades. So knowing Rockstar, never ever ever.

not saying the update isn't lackluster, it is, but it is by no means the worst ever, not even the worst in the last year, again, last March's update was less than half the size of this one...

For what it's worth, I don't believe the updates are totally done. The game just makes too much money and GTA VI is a long way off. RDR2 is not going to pull the kind of player base or make the kind of revenue that GTA Online does. Even if Rockstar WANTS to be done, Take Two is going to want them to keep going. I won't be surprised if they take fall and winter off to give RDR2 room to breathe, but I WILL be surprised if there aren't a few updates of some sort in 2019. Even if it's just filler like this last one was: some cars, a new job type or two.

Yan's information that the upcoming DLC may be the last and a neat package for the Premium Edition with everything included released around that time actually makes a lot of sense, in my opinion.

 

Of course this doesn't mean that smaller packages in the future like cars and quality-of-life updates won't come after that. Gods know how much the game needs some of those.

RDR2 is not going to pull the kind of player base or make the kind of revenue that GTA Online does. Even if Rockstar WANTS to be done, Take Two is going to want them to keep going.

That's what my gut tells me. Unfortunately it also tells me that we're about done with updates of any consequence. I think the possibility of seeing any of the big fan-requested updates like the ones we just listed is really low. The possibly of seeing a map expansion (prior to GTA VI, whatever form it may take) is just about nil. At this point I'm just hoping that this summer update is more exciting than Yan makes it sound. "Consolidating the businesses (that we are all kind of sick of)" is not super promising, but hopefully there's a lot more to it than just that.
