They should remove rubbish weapons like the Bullpup Shotgun, Assault SMG and Vintage Pistol, or come up with some kind of consolidation/restructure to give those weapons a purpose. Maybe even let us choose what we can even see/buy in ammunation.

Nightclubs are more fun when they are accessible for all the players and not only for the player who bought the place (or the members of his/her org). A dev can figure that out as well, so I really think other players can enter as costumer and will have access to the bar, dance area, etc. while a owner can also access other rooms in the club, like an office or a supplies area. Something like that...

Hope so, got a couple of ideas in mind.
Me too. Getting to name new properties is something that I always liked to do as it allows to build and keep a consistent theme if you so desire.

 

This, of course, if we're establishing underground clubs like some have guessed, instead of purchasing already existing establishments. I wouldn't imagine that it'd make much sense to name something that already has a name, haha.

Absolutely. Of course, we'll soon find out but I enjoyed thinking of my CEO/MC names to fit me, my game, and hopefully fits well with the game itself too.

 

Adds more if a personal touch to welcome noobs into The Thirteen or to step into my office at Milano's, level 21, Maze Bank tower, lol.

 

Kind of hope it's more than one, but can see it being like offices and such too. Can't wait to learn more.

I've been thinking whether Rockstar adds new music or not with this update.

 

So far, they have added FlyLo and Blonded FM, but that's because they have FlyLo under contract and they probably will need to flesh out a contract with a new DJ and license the tracks for that.

Seeing that Rockstar has renewed the licenses for tracks for GTA IV, i wonder if they snuck in some new tracks for new radio station/club tracks.

It could possible lead to a leak.

The railgun is extremely overpowered against aircraft, which already have it rough in a world of explosive snipers and homing launchers.
Wouldn't make much difference then :lol:

While the railgun may not be as effective as sniper rifle when it comes to long distances, it is considerably easier to aim at helicopter with it at short-medium range (or at least that's true with mouse look). Explosive ammo also appear to be somewhat rare in freemode, which may be because they are locked behind a research (this may as well be the only good thing about the research system implemented in the Gunrunning update).

The thing with homing missiles is that they are at least dodgeable (unless we're talking about Oppressor-type missiles, which arguably deserve a nerf), while it is virtually impossible to effectively dodge railgun projectiles with a helicopter.

As I've said, CEO Buzzards and Cargobobs would become even less suitable for freemode businesses, which is a real shame for anyone who likes I/E work or VIP missions.

 

They could lock it behind research and make it very expensive let's say 4-5 million. I mean why the hell not. And the ammo should only be available in the MOC or Avenger and the ammo should be a bit more expensive than explosive sniper rounds. This way not every beginner walks around with it. It's much worse that everybody gets a Homing Launcher right at the start. I just need something that replaces the Explosive Sniper so i can use it with normal ammo again without losing a useful weapon. At the moment only my Shotun MKII has explosive rounds but if i plan to go play some PVP i switch my sniper to explosives again. It's annoying that we can't have both. Regular Heavy Sniper MKII and with explosive rounds. If we could switch between ammo types while out on the map without going to our MOC or Avenger i would be happy too. Then i wouldn't need a Railgun. But that's to much to ask from :r*:

You do know that the Bullpup Shotgun excells in range out of all Shotguns and has a guaranteed headshot within its range right? The Bullpup fires a center projectile as well as a spread, hence why its effective at headshots from quite some distance. Even better with a suppressor.

Yep, I use it a lot, to the point that I like it as is and don't particularly want a Bullpop Shotty MkII version...

 

Would be cool to have an underground Malibu Club as one of the available clubs.

Y'know, this is one of the few times where I'm perfectly fine with them not having made any new organisation types since MCs (still feels asinine that you can't set up a rogue militia-type thing, but you can legally own property at Fort Zancudo as some random biker gang... :rol:).

So long as they stick with the same format as bunkers/hangars/facilities, running a club as a VIP makes a fair amount of thematic sense, IMO (and means I don't have to get stuck as either 1% or 1%er with an office or clubhouse - f*** that noise... :p)

A severe munitions limit (let's say 15 or 20) and the inability to purchase them outside of a MOC would be pretty good ways to balance it, since they would force the player to use them smartly and avoid unarmed or lightly armed targets. Unfortunately, making the weapon itself very expensive without applying such limitations would most likely be worthless, as evidenced by all the individuals who see no issue in spending money to fire the orbital cannon.

Research might help, but it seems unlikely given how they've decided to distance themselves from it after Gunrunning came out.

I find myself in disagreement with the ability to switch ammo in freeroam you suggested, since that may as well be the only attempt to balance explosive munitions they have made.

Rockstar have likely seen how popular the LSFPDR or whatever it's called Single Player mod is, and know there's players to reel into Online, aswell as many people wanting to play as police in general. I can't think of any other reason to consolidate the businesses.

I'm almost 100% certain it's just going to be unlocking warehouses/vehicle warehouses from CEO offices, and things like weed farms/document forgery/etc. from clubhouses - instead, you'll be able to buy Import/Export stuff as an MC president, and do all the LJT nonsense as a CEO.

Well the Assault SMG has some purpose - after 85m or so it's the most powerful fully automatic weapon in the game - bullet per bullet - as damage doesn't decrease over distance compared to most weapons in the game. Granted, at those ranges it may be better to use the Musket or Marksman Rifle (etc) but it's still worth noting.

The idea that a club update may include a few boats (and possibly, the ability to customise them) and kill two birds with a stone is not as far fetched as some may think. They would really fit the 80s feeling that most people here are looking forward to get in the update, and The Ballad of Gay Tony included three new speedboats (as many as we got in 5 years of updates here). I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one here who would love to see the Smuggler make a return.

Quite obviously, I would take corvettes, frigates, destroyers, cruisers and aicraft carriers on the "likely to be included" list.

Well the Assault SMG has some purpose - after 85m or so it's the most powerful fully automatic weapon in the game - bullet per bullet - as damage doesn't decrease over distance compared to most weapons in the game. Before MK versions, it was the rifle that I used, it was very good.

Really if we are getting a nightclub style update then I hope it is chock full of classic 70s, 80s, and 90s muscle, sports, and even compact cars, some of the ones on the top of my list would be a fiero, an 80s imponte sedan (or coupe like a grand prix), an rx7 (fd obviously), maybe as a super the pontiac banshee concept, an 80s or 70s civic, and just a yon of other cool retro cars.

- nightclub on top (ability to throw a party maybe?) / beach house / mansion / secret underground lair / consolidation of all businesses
- garage underground (upgrade)
- helipad (upgrade)
- workshop for custom boats (upgrade)
- new upgrades for yachts, new abilities (cause if you have a beach house why not have a yacht nearby?)

- nightclub on top (ability to throw a party maybe?) / beach house / mansion / secret underground lair / consolidation of all businesses

- garage underground (upgrade)

- helipad (upgrade)

- workshop for custom boats (upgrade)

- new upgrades for yachts, new abilities (cause if you have a beach house why not have a yacht nearby?)

 

That way everyone would be happy. But its R* so we shouldn't expect much...

 

If it offers garage space, a helipad and a boathouse, i don't care if it's a floating turd, i'm buying it!

Some time ago I mocked-up a quick video using the cut-content High Life garage and turned it into a police garage... half of which contained "impounded" currently-owned vehicles and the other half contained police / emergency vehicles.

 

 

 

There'd be storage for at least 28 vehicles in there, or 30 if you include an extra slot for large vehicles like the RCV and Chernobog. Of course my ideas were far more in-depth than that and encompassed a few different things, but probably more for the wishlist topic.

You know what's a must for a nightclub dlc?

 

A fully customizable limo. But let's not stop there! Inside the limo you can drink champagne and smoke cigars! And not just that, you should be able ot do busines sinside them as well, such as resupplying and such!

 

Now if we could only get Benny's rims on all vehicle. Who knows? Maybe we could get to customize wheel son aircraft too!

Bahama Mamas interior appearing again is intentional.

They removed it from the function that disabled it. It explains why some players managed to access it, I guess it's that important for the next update ?

I thought it's some bug that allowed the interior to load but figured out it's intentional.
