I thought it was common knowledge, considering how fast info moves on gtaf, that it's just gtav and the starter pack. They released it to help push them over 100 million copies. Their at 90 something

 

Btw does anybody know if a Porsche or Ferrari is in this update and if so what's the name. Can't find any info

So... about that premium edition

No new texts that mention it so it's safe to assume that it's nothing to do with in-game content such as more FREE vehicles or something like that.

Honestly, i grew up with GTA. I don't blame or get mad at them for not releasing stuff or ending stuff. Despite how hard it is to earn the cash. The DLC's are free! It's not like call of duty where you pay 70Dollars and few months later you either pay 30 dollars and that goes almost everymonth and if you miss single 1 dlc you won't matchup with others(sometimes never matchup). Rockstar also used a different business strategy but it's not a trend game. Games like fortnite might be forgotten in some months or years just like the VR Chat and other forgotten games like DayZ. But GTA is different. We should stop judging wether GTA Online will end updating or not. I think this is mostly caused by the mandela effect. You guys are forgetting that they shut down further updates for last gen consoles because the consoles can't tolerate. Even if next gen consoles comes to a limit there won't be a limit for PC players. It won't cost that THAT much to use reskineed stuff. They are still at top5 most played games(UK Rated). So i look further for updates no matter how small they are. You guys gotta keep in mind! That if you think GTA is not fun, you don't know how to play it. Be nice to people, send the messages and protect their cargo and do roleplaying. No one will judge you. If you think GTA is ruined then make it better, believe me you can. Because you will be example to someone and they will to someone else and it will go on and on. I personally am in an active crew and i help a lot of new players who recently afforded to buy next gen consoles. My point is, let's rather share ideas and speculate stuff so Rockstar can know what the players want. WE do play huge role. And believe me Mach1's will got that Dom classic into the game. Hunter guys will got the Hunter into the game. This was a huge reward for us. If you're judging them this much. Well why didn't they release ALL this in the first or second year? They would gain a lot!(I'm asking this btw, share your ideas). I believe Rockstar will keep reward us even after RDR2 untill GTA 6. They might even do some mystery hunt for GTA VI just like they did for RDR2.

Also finish that construction side at Alta Street and the Redwood Race Track.

Its nice to see a positive view in such a sea of complainers, and I totally agree. This is the only game in my 35 years of gaming that I have played for over 4 years and still enjoy. It's really strange to me how people can complain about getting FREE content, even if it isn't to their liking. Sign of the times I guess.

At least the Hotring race(s) might be finally over now that it's been close to 2 weeks since launch. Good riddance because while it was okay but not perfect the pay stunk and it was just as bad doing those races with other players as it is doing it just by yourself, same usual results with GTAOnline races in the end, Contact race and every setting to allow players behind you to catch up. Now they could've just put these cars in stunt races and called it a day to be honest and the fact that there's only 1 vehicle to choose from is disappointing unless they plan on releasing more at some point.

My understanding is that they can't easily do that. The additions they've made to the map so far are all props, just like the ones you use in the Creator to make races or what have you. Bunkers, facilities - just props dropped over (and covering up) existing geometry. So finishing a construction site would basically mean wrapping it in a fake building that is slightly larger than the construction site is. (Not sure if they can remove the cranes, either - that probably depends if they are objects in their own right, or baked into the map.)

Depends how it's laid out. The content may be "free" in a sense but who's keeping it free and 2ndly what's the trade off with it being free?

 

If it was a DLC pass that you needed to buy for each business you want to own I could see some being a little annoyed but hopefully with the DLC pass you might just need the buy the pass and the properties are heavily discounted if not free. The trade off here is since there's no DLC pass (Not saying having it or not is a good thing) your going to be grinding for a while to even get anywhere. I just purchased the clubhouse a few days ago and dumped 365K for the one in Del-Perro beach and I go onto the computer in the clubhouse and see I can do counterfeit business or drug businesses but to do that I need to dump down another 400K (Maybe even close to 800K) to afford it. That's just after buying the clubhouse at 365K and is coming close in at $1 million.

 

Also I'm not sure how it being "free" means people can't have their opinion on the DLC or their 2 cents on it.

What if it's not building, but construction site. Like it has been made to be this way, for missions, stories, game modes. Nobody asks from movie studio to finish construction decoration at certain scene where it involved.

The pay wasnt good? I only did a few but I made over $70k from one race.

 

I did one and believe I ended up only getting $7000 for coming in 10th place, would've came 6th if it wasn't for the sh*thead players knocking me out and driving the wrong way up the racetrack and blocking tight spots. I've made better money in occupy, motorwars and what not then what I've made in races (even when it's double money & RP) I race but I don't do it with the GTAOnline community if much anymore because their terrible and every host turns on slipstream and leaves it as contact which ends in a mess.

 

Adversary modes get a lotta hate on here but there's some good ones. If you are on a decent team in Occupy and if it was double money and after 4 rounds you could end up close to $100K. Doing this again and again while it was on is how I paid off a few car modifications and MK2 weapon upgrades.

Like I said it's "free" and well we could try to make the most out of it if everything didn't cost an arm and a leg. Without doing heists or having a decent Double money even on good luck getting that business you've been saving up for.

 

Bought the Clubhouse at 365K then guess what? To get anywhere else with it it's another $400K for the furthest properties or if you want the ones close by in Los-Santos it's going to cost you double that because you want convenience so "f*ck you". In the end this sh*t has been nerfed so the payout is going to be low and to make the money back is going to take more grinding yet again. I guess people see the grinding as a good thing and that's why so many are in defence of it. Colour me blind then.

 

The game makes it seem like there's a lot there to do but once you get into one business there's then more money involved. Like I said in the past nothing would be a problem and I'd be happy to do a lot of things in GTA if It didn't involve grinding, grinding and grinding over and over again. Where's the fun in just going to Point A to B and back and fourth to grind all day? At this point GTAOnline feels like a chore more then it does a game. I'm not to sure why people keep believing this isn't a problem but whatever floats their boat surely doesn't float mine and others who see this as a problem for what it is.

He's not wrong, you really have to spend hours upon hours to be able to afford a single thing in this game and it has gotten to the point where it is tiresome or even frustrating. Especially since they really seem to be pushing for making people buy shark cards.

 

Played since day 1, enjoyed the heck out of the game, grinding was somewhat tolerable but they seem to try and force you to buy shark cards as of lately by making it hard to make money to the point that it is tiresome and frustrating as I mentioned.And that type of behavior is just disgusting. The last couple businesses are the prime example for that.

What if it's not building, but construction site. Like it has been made to be this way, for missions, stories, game modes. Nobody asks from movie studio to finish construction decoration at certain scene where it involved.While I get your point and a very good at that, the difference is that unlike a movie, videogames are an interactive medium that can be modified to imply the passage of time, which is why I have always proposed for the map to be "updated".

 

If something like a new building can't be implemented for technical reasons, well, at least R* could try to implement little things as nods to GTA V's story mode, like removing Ortega's trailer (got destroyed by Trevor), Slab City getting destroyed, the wreck from the Cargo Plane in "Minor Turbulence" below the Alamo Sea...

 

The game's "narrative" (which is kind of confusing tbh) has already moved from 2013 to 2017 according to Agent 14 in one mission, why not make some little changes in the map here and there to reflect this?
