That picture of Trevor on a Bati rice rocket has me laughing pretty hard. Might actually be worth adding if only for the lulz, imagine a silver haired rebreather wearing squeaker rolling up and sticky bombing you before slowly peeling off on a pocket bike. Would also be pretty fun to run them over with the Vigilante/DoD/APC..

Some people speculate that the end of Online will be some apocalypse DLC. But in my opinion, last Online DLC will be a Ban Update, where everyone's getting banned. A true apocalypse and a reason to buy GTA 6.

And why do I have the feeling that no matter how many racing updates we get itll never be good enough? If we had a proper streetracing DLC, people would still think that thered be stuff missing, or certain cars that would have had to be in it to make it count as a proper streetracing DLC.

1. Just because the Racing Update has one or two Japanese cars (or Tuner cars) it doesn't make it a Tuner DLC and it doesn't mean that we shouldn't get a proper DLC like that.

2. Let's hypothetically say that Streetracing DLC drops and it has about 5 cars and that's it. Do you really think it would be unjustified not to complain about such update? Imagine if the Bikers had 5 bikes and would be still called Bikers, or Smugglers Run had 2 planes and 1 heli...

3. Just because there wouldn't be XYZ car in such update, it wouldn't ruin SR/Tuner DLC for most of the people. Smugglers Run wasn't ruined because it didn't have A-10 or B-2 Spirit, It was mostly ruined by long-ass dripfeed, ridiculous prices and sh*tty rehash of the business.

Were soon going to get our hands on the Jester Classic, a car thats been requested for years - yet when youre visiting that appreciation thread its full of complaints, people saying that they hope that a better version will come as a Bennys vehicle and what not. Some are even hoping that R* will make changes to the current version. Well see... Thing is, this game isnt doing replicas. Never have, never will. Just take the car youre getting and be happy with it, and lets focus on adding something new and exciting to the game instead.

 

Nobody and I mean NOBODY is complaining that Jester isn't 1:1 with Supra. To be honest I was expecting more influence from other cars like from Eclipse etc. People are complaining about because it is just T E R R I B L E! Everything from just straight up bad proportions, almost lack of customization for something that is based on the car that is basically synonymous with the word "Tuner", the fact that it just feels rushed and had no quality inspection (missing glass on the left headlight, floating break light when boot is open) to small stuff like not having proper Supra interior (although there is 1:1 copy of it in such cars like Banshee or Vacca) or not having iconic 2JZ engine, but just a copy pasted engine from Elegy. THAT'S what people are upset about.

And people saying the Jester Classic should be a Karin, well guess what? The same mixing up is true for almost every other car in the game, but I have never heard these loud complaints about it.

So I guess you must be living under the God damn rock. There are almost always complaints when the car is either branded weirdly or uses old 3D Era name that doesn't correspond to its original form...

Really, R* should put their efforts into fixing a lot more about this game other than making a 90s tuner please its picky fans.

I don't even want what this trailer shows... Really I'd be satisfied with a usual amount of the cars, with a lot of customization and basically a MC Clubhouse but for cars and a hangar/some safe place where you can organize the car meets. That's it.

You've got some fair points, but I think you're missing some of mine. I'll just lump together a response here;

 

1. Maybe you missed the part where I mentioned that I too want a Streetracing DLC. What I'm questioning is why for every update people are arguing that they want the same thing over and over which is almost always car-related, and as soon as anyone mentions something a bit more exotic like boats or businesses or free roam events people tend to throw complete fits and count a random number of cars that aren't already in the game.

 

2. First off, way to go making assumptions here, I mean; "Let's hypothetically say that Streetracing DLC drops and it has 5 cars in it(...)", where did you even get that from? I never said I think a hypothetical Streetracing DLC should have 5 cars in it, nor has it got anything to do with what I said, at all. It hasn't even got anything to do with the de facto update we're talking about. Is anyone even complaining about how few vehicles were in this update? Because in that case I've completely missed it.

 

3. I don't know what you're talking about here or how it relates to anything of what I said. I can say that I thought Smuggler's Run was a great update, dripfeed or no dripfeed. The "sh*tty rehash of the business", as you say, was in my opinion not sh*tty at all. Most of the business-related stuff of Smuggler's Run is pretty good, what makes it less good is the fact that it's not nearly as lucrative as some other businesses, which pretty much makes it obsolete.

 

4. (About the Jester not being 1:1 with the Supra); Ok, I must have misunderstood it then because I honestly can't tell with all those Supra fanboys anymore. I got the impression that they thought it looked too little like the Supra, but I guess I was mistaken. My bad.

 

5. Lol, ok, I recently wrote a post where I questioned that too. I mean people complaining that it's badged "wrong" or "NOT looking like real thing" etc, etc. It's a game drawing inspiration from life. I see that as a good thing - I'd rather have the Karins and Dewbauchees and Progens of GTA than having true-to-life vehicles to drive around in. And R* probably have every good reason to badge it Karin if they have. Maybe, as we discussed with that older post of mine, it has to do with them wanting to shake it around to circumvent IP-restrictions. Who knows? And honestly, who cares?

 

Besides, you failed to grasp a portion of that segment which was me saying "I have never heard THESE LOUD complaints about it" - meaning, yes, I hear complaints all the time, but never have I heard them spoken as vehemently as now when it's regarding the Supra. Or the Jester Classic. Whatever.

 

I'm going to lay off questioning the Supra in whatever way, because it apparently stirs up some emotions. I can't see why, and I probably never will. Thanks for your input though!

I really hate the idea of bi-weekly dripfeed (if thats indeed what they do). Id much rather get one car a week then have batches.

^Yeah they should be putting effort into fixing things, like that Jester Classic that looks like an ametuer modder made it.

 

That's what bugs me. R* does good designs sometimes, with good work on the model/textures (sometimes fantastic work, even) - but then you get stuff like the weird combination of designs kludged together to make the Revolter, complete with bad craftsmanship (things like there still being a Pfister badge still visible over the Übermacht one - or the rear doors being connected to ...nothing, and floating in mid-air when opened).

 

It's pretty clear that they've got several people, all doing different cars to different standards - and it really annoys me every time something's been given to some ham-fisted guy(s) who just can't match the standard of the other vehicle artists. The Jester Classic might be the most glaring example (and on a highly-requested car like the Supra), but it's by no means the first...

 

 

It's the same as clothing - I've been fighting a losing battle over that one, but it pains me every time R* puts out some cheap thing with low-res textures, makes a dozen colour variations, and then calls it a day. Meanwhile, I've compared clothes from the last year or so to things that came out with Ill-Gotten Gains or even I'm Not A Hipster (nearly four years ago!), and not only did they bother to do more items and greater variety of items, but also done with a higher level of polish and detail.

Im patient too. I just would prefer they stick to the old ways of dripfeeding one car a week instead of batches. I actually liked the old way they did it since it would keep the game fresh. Instead of releasing everything at once they give us one car a week and it keeps the game fresh and gives us something to look forward to each week. Doing it in batches leaves us with weeks of nothing besides the corresponding event week.
