If the Dominator Classic & GTX use the same sound files as the Phoenix and Buffalo S more or less (see the vids posted a few pgs back) and the handling of all the new rides is nerfed to a certain degree, then you can color me unimpressed.

The Ellie does not use the Phoniex sound. It's a completely new sound.Thank god

Yep. This new engine resistance(?) stat is seriously ruining all of the new cars + the Viseris for me. Often times supers, sports, sports classics and muscles will midrange speed boost on their own coming out of tight corners and this new flag/stat causes your car to bog down and ruin your line. This really, really, REALLY sucks R*..

 

 

Let's report and spam R* about that.

If even 50 users are reading this will make it, would be much better than complaining about it on every page without any result.

The above is just two lines out of the "handling.meta" for the Caracara.

The vehicle's performance issues is nothing to do with engine resistance, as some of the new vehicles don't have that line in their handling file, although getting rid of that line can make the cars ever-so-slightly more responsive on the throttle. Hardly noticeable though. The Viseris' handling file hasn't changed, so that too doesn't have the engine resistance. What's slowing down some of the vehicles are the "strAdvancedFlags" because whilst some of the new cars DON'T have the engine resistance line, they do have this advanced flags line.

 

Again the Viseris doesn't, and the mid-drive speed boost thing must be something controlled by a server script; when Rockstar prevented that from working with all vehicles some time ago, I don't recall there being anything in the files changed to prevent or permit it. Quite a strange one really that would probably need someone to go through and see what's causing it (as all the vehicles in the game that aren't from the current update or the Viseris can mid-drive boost just fine).

 

Changing the data in the advanced flags line can have some interesting results but I really need to do more testing on that.

Am I the only one who dislikes the absence of mid-drive speed boosting in the new cars? It's the only way to get cars drifting a little bit..

Gaffa: yes, those of us who GAF about this new engine resistance flag indeed have had the foresight to specify exactly what the issue is when sending tweets and complaints.

 

No I miss it too Uwot, it's also the only way to peel out from a rolling start..

I'm also on the bandwagon with this. I've been emailing mouthoff and will start to tweet on top of that as of today.

 

This issue really could use some "names" from the community to get behind it though. Otherwise it'll be the next DLC or beyond before it's fixed. Or worse still, it gets added to all new cars from now on.

Can anyone tell how they set up/ word these emails to that mouth off address? I'll also send a mail but would be fine with some input on how people write their mails. I'm Assuming it's not "fix the new f*cking cars you useless pieces of sh*t"

Tell them that the engine resistance stat, the flag that not only removes the midrange speed boost but bogs the car down, and the rev cap that also bogs the car down ruins the experience of driving this latest batch of cars. Tell them they stand out like sore thumbs compared to the older cars that don't suffer the same issues and that you feel ripped off. Obviously you may want to clean those points up a bit and use better tact, also tell them you refuse to buy any more cars or shark cards until these cars are fixed to perform like the rest of the cars in the game.

I think all rwd and fwd vehicles when upgraded should be able to double clutch at low and medium speeds imo. (Excluding electric vehicles and vehicles with high top speed in the class.)

So I'm back now and I gotta say that this DLC was quite sh*t one... Other than excellent Cheburek, Michelli GT and GB200 and OK Hotring Sabre, Issi, Fagaloa, XXR, Flash GT and Sea Sparrow I got two major blows that hurt and will hurt for a very long time: Ellie and Jester Classic. Whomever was responsible for those cars should be fired asap, especially for the Jester. How you can f*ck up so badly? I thought that Drift Tampa was a wasted potential, but this... this is on another level. Also we got 4 supers, one worse than another. Are people really not bored of the generic super no.583204? Thankfully the dripfeed won't be as bad if the Fun is correct.

It is a mod. There is no 4x4 in the files. Only the 6x6 with the gun in the back.

It's not a mod it's an actual vehicle in the game that's not out yet. Hmm.. But strange that it isnt on dripfeed list. And the only extra customization I saw on the 6x6 variant is changing the weapons so the 4x4 cant be a customization option either.. Cut vehicle planned for future dlc, perhaps?
