Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

I just get the feeling that theres quite a few forum members in this thread that have never played a GTA game before this one. All these suggestions for more military sh*t AS IF WE HAVENT 3 GODDAMN UPDATES DEDICATED TO MILITARY STYLE sh*t. Enough. Anymore and this game is Battlefield- lite. I want some updates that go back to the basics. Street racing a cool idea. A tuners update would be nice. A DLC with mansions and new cars- a classic DLC like we used to get. These updates are all updates that would fit classic GTA. They would be nice. Enough of these goddamn vehicles that are geared towards an 11 year squeaker, who has access to mommys credit card, while telling me how much he banged my mom over the mic. E-goddamn-nough.

The people wishlisting military gear arent the same ones complaining about it. This thread isnt one person having a contradictory discussion with itself. Maybe you are the lost cause.

If that is the case, then thread would not return to talking about military jets and boats everytime the discussion of a future DLC dies. You might've literally lost your brain somewhere if you haven't noticed something that obvious.

 

Might as well rename this thread into the Military Request Thread.

 

There's two types of people in this fanbase...there's the morons who don't question a single thing that R* does, despite how stupid or inconsiderate it is. Then there's the smart people who actually discuss said stupid and inconsiderate things and sometimes show opposition. The latter is ignored because the former outweighs them. That's why GTA V is GTA Battlefield.

I've played everything from GTA 3 all the way up to V. I never once had to buy a shark card or deal with a Hydra griefer before this point. Ah, I long for the days when R* cared about making a game GOOD instead of insanely profitable.

 

BTW, for those who think that games should be insanely profitable rather than good, you are the reason why gaming is ruined...shame on you. No wonder they managed to get so many millions from people like that...they're simply too stupid to be trusted with cash.

the dlc has to release soon because mw2 remastered is suspose to release next month and once that releases that will take away a lot of players from gta for a while.

Although I am against another Military DLC overall and I agree that Online is oversaturated with weaponized vehicles and military "crap", doesn't mean that I'm 100% against one or two military toys that I wanted since the release. I seriously wouldn't mind A10, B2 and Humvee, maybe not right now when we got 3 military DLCs in a row, but some time after, yeah why not.

I wouldn't mind an A-10: it's an iconic plane. If it's not OP, there's no real issue for me. I mostly play in passive, but would love a new vehicle I could use for Headhunter.

A week or two I think. I think big ticket games like GTA probably get preferential treatment though.

I think it usual take between 1-2 weeks but I think it can take a lot shorter time also, bf1 had a patch that was ready in 1 day or something like that. I also think companies can pay a extra fee to get it approved even faster but I'm not 100% sure

I don't mind either military vehicles or these so called "meme" vehicles as long as they're balanced.

 

If anything, we haven't got some iconic military vehicles like the aforementioned A-10 or a Humvee and even some pop culture references like the V8 Interceptor.

 

As long as they're balanced (which to be fair, it's the exception rather than the rule) I don't really mind.

Gonna join the dissent and say I would love more military/weaponized vehicles; they're the main way I enjoy the game. The car porn stuff does nothing for me and it doesn't help me when doing heists, contact missions, or free roam work. I have no interest in a "Night life" update that, to me, seems doomed to go the way of the strip club/golf course/tennis court; barren and empty once the intitial hype is gone. Clubbing/dancing is much more fun in real life than with a controller and an avatar.

 

As for the "one more military update and it's gone too far" spiel, I've heard that same thing said after every update with weaponized vehicles. I don't know how it is on other platforms, but on Xbox not everyone is using jets/attack choppers/tanks/flying bikes. In fact most people are using non-weaponized vehicles in every session I join or they're on foot.

 

As for claiming that anyone who likes content you don't is a child or stupid, you're telling on yourself in a big way with that mentality.

1. I was told, from a person that is not my usual source, that they got information telling them the update is coming on Tuesday. I trust this person with my children's lives. They are a brother to me.

 

2. My source that I used to get tidbits from hasn't said anything at all aside that it will be "soon". That was several weeks ago.

 

3. I do not know anything concrete. It might be coming and it might not. Nothing I have heard was correct after Smugglers Run.

Well of course 12 year olds think that everything should cater to them. God forbid C* puts crumbs out for other demographics within their player base. Some of these same players are those that kick instantly when someone's blip says they're in a vehicle that COULD be weaponized, even if the kill feed is empty. All because 2 years ago their crate source mission was interrupted by a hydra.

 

Clothing aside with how balanced DDH was with non weaponized vs weaponized vehicles I don't even consider DDH a military update. It was heist update. It had heists that had the same focus on unique vehicles and roles as the first heist. Sure we had what 5 weaponized toys in heists 1 vs heists 2's dozen give or take. But we also had significantly more non weaponized vehicles in comparison.

 

And in all honesty what difference can even an update of 40 weaponized toys really do to this game? The orbital canon spree on consoles has quieted down considerably. The level of griefing has returned to the levels they were prior to GR. Sure they are using different toys and insurance aside the new toys don't change the story in their favor. You as the victim has more ways to protect yourselves or police the lobby.

A patriot classic based off the H1 would be an instant buy. If you look at 1 of the 1st screenshots of the Warstock site you can see a Humvee lookalike vehicle labeled under atv. It was probably going to be in the game originally but got removed.
