I would probably stop playing Gta if all the cars became electric, just wouldn't interest me no more. Only way I probably would be ok with it if they added old cars with electric motors but still wouldn't be same. Same with real life, only time I would drive 1 in real life if I converted a classic car into electric. I love my 79 Buick Regal too much to ever make it electric unless they outlaw ICE everywhere.

More like 'the entire world being given the old Dutch oven by CO2', but I know what you mean.

 

But that's kinda why I want my favourite regular, non-electric cars in things like GTAO - you get all the fun of tearing around in a thirsty V8, with none of the apocalyptic consequences of trying to daily one in real life!

Then again, I like most of the adversary modes that don't involve shooting.

I don't mind electric cars, so long as they don't overshadow the petrol or diesel powered vehicles in the game. Electric vehicles typically have low top speeds, meaning they aren't as good for racing. They should really have their own class for balance's sake.

 

Most manufacturers are hopping on the plug-in hybrid bandwagon, more so than the electric bandwagon. This is essentially the best of both worlds...decent performance, whilst having some qualities of EV's. More of these would be welcome.

I'm not too sure about that. The supercars certainly don't produce a loud enough sound to be realistic. Otherwise, it is OK.

I wouldn't mind them adding more electric vehicles as long as the majority of vehicles stay gas powered. It'd be unbelievably boring if every vehicle sounded like they were powered by muffled vacuum cleaners.

That's not the same as adding LC as a map pack or the rest of the SA map, though. Was only a matter of time before GTA games got ported to mobile.

Ha but the thing is LC is already a finished map so your argument is false.

LC is not finished in the sense of being ready for use in GTA V. It would need to be completely redone. And if you're still placing $100 bets I'll get in on that action. Honestly it's a bet I'd love to lose, too, but I really don't think LC is coming.

 

redone? no, the assets were created in the same engine, they would just have to update the textures, the meshes are all there.

 

 

Textures for starters are almost all not up to current HD standards. And I would bet - though I haven't gone back and really looked - that poly counts are lower across the board - simpler building models, etc. They'd want to update a lot of those. Other assets like trees and bushes are completely inadequate, they'd need to be swapped for assets from V or remade completely. And that's all before they get around to adding hours upon hours of new playable content: missions, gang attacks, objectives and spawns for VIP work, properties of all kinds, etc. etc.

 

Even the simplest stripped-down approach to porting that map would entail thousands of hours of dev work.

 

They might want to change the map, but I don't care if it doesnt' quite match the current map I a bet no one else that plays the game cares either. It just desperately needs more map at this point in time. (Or the radar removed which achieves much of the same effect)

and i don´t know if you already have this methode, but when i was a baby my parents just needed to put me in the backseat of the car and drive around the block to calm me down and get me to sleep.

Hopefully thanks to the long wait i have decided to spend some times on GTA 4. I have forgot to do some randoms missions and i get to find some interesting people over here. I'm just dropping by a stranger named Eddy Low to the docks, quite a nice guy !

I have a potential leak regarding GTA X.

 

97% of vehicles will be fully electric and 3% hybrid. 10 new Karins, 6 new Emperors, 12 new Coils, 2 new Hijaks and 4 new Progens.

 

Of course its all rubbish and not a leak But it does make one wonder if GTA will take a similar approach as vehicles are now. Which may explain why we are starting to see more EV's being added.

 

Personally I'm hoping the next update brings along a few new EV's regardless what class they are. In fact, an electric motorcycle would be quite innovative in GTA.

Lol. Watching this latest series of Top Gear, they recently had a blast through the woods on electric scrambler type bikes. The boys seemed to enjoy them too.

I've been involved in 10th scale RC car racing since the 80s and we always wondered what the race buggys would be like scaled up and never really understood why no one bothered to make such machines.. It was already possible then.. anyway, these days that's reality and they go quite well. I'm always a big fan of Electrics but they don't really belong in GTA, not unless they make high performance race versions that sound racey.

Electric cars are not that bad but they should never be the norm in any gta game.

 

not gonna lie seeing them getting a rise in the updates (ddh for sure) kinda worries me.

 

they are still niche cars so they should be rare in gta aswell. hope that hipsters doesn't add a butload of them,would be a boring car pack.
