Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 5)

Wasnt the leaked date for the GTA Premium edition the 23rd (Friday)? So wouldnt it stand to reason that if true, Rockstar would very likely release the next bit of DLC in close proximity to the 23rd (either the 20th or 27th)? It would only make sense to release new content to bring out the stagnant player base that only does so for new DLC while simultaneously getting additional players with whatever this Premium edition offers? And given Rockstars radio silence regarding the Premium edition, it stands to reason that youll probably hear about that soon enough perhaps even before the DLC. Granted this is all speculation but Im not seeing anything remotely justified that points to a new DLC within the week, other than the fact that were out of drip fed content.

Time to wake up and face the music guys. Since I/E, multiple years ago, there hasn't been a single dlc that wasn't announced on a Thursday. Additionally, they almost never drop the update without 2 weeks of a stable qabeta- it was literally updated yesterday.

 

There is no announcement coming today, theres no update coming the 13th, and it is highly unlikely an update is coming the 20th. Kudos to whoever predicted the 27th a few pages back.

The Gunrunning release date was actually announced on a Wednesday.

If they are indeed using this update as a way to drum up buzz about the game and the 'premium edition' surely it would have to be something more than the typical filler update to generate enough demand?

The Gunrunning release date was actually announced on a Wednesday.I'm not sure which one but there was a gunrunning announcement on a Friday but there was several articles on it so I only know it was one of them. So all I'm saying is that it doesn't necessarily have to be a Thursday for a newswire announcement

I do not think we will get a new DLC in March. I think the new DLC will be coming to the anniversary of GTA IV at the end of April. We must not forget that the update cycle will be longer. Reason is RDR2. Next DLC on April 24th #Hunt4BlueApril

Then it means ASTON MARTIN company copied GTA's art and made Vantage.. Why not?

It was discussed already hundreds of times: Qabeta tests usually take 2-4 weeks.
2 weeks for small updates and 3/4 for the big one.

March, 13th - two weeks.
March, 27th - four weeks.

Fits perfectly.

After getting an update like DOOMS DAY where they included so many awesome sh*t like Osprey gunner(Avenger) I think we should be cool. But i'd be happy if we'd get a Casino dlc as LAST dlc because we did all this stealing and heists now we're coming to an end and we're retired. Imagine all the cool cars.. Even self driving electric cars? You can like have 3 passengers and you guys can do random stuff inside. I think they could do something like that,

March 13th is 91 days since the Doomsday Heist dropped. Combine that with the fact that the event week ends on March 12th and you will understand why i'm certain it will come on Tuesday.

 

 

1. People were saying the same thing when the previous event week (as well as the drip feed) ended... and then we got another event week. Event weeks mean nothing, they will keep cranking out new ones for however long they need to keep us distracted.

 

2. 91 days is not a hard and fast rule of operation at Rockstar, I guarantee you. It's most likely just a general target for them to do an update every quarter. But such targets get missed. Especially if there are problems with the update that need fixing, which is suggested by continual, and recent, updates to qabeta. I'd be interested to know if they've ever released an update within 5 days of the last qabeta update; I don't know where to find specific dates but a few people I trust seem to believe that qabeta is usually stable for a couple of weeks before an update releases.

 

Could we get a nice surprise on Tuesday? Maybe. But again, I think your absolute certainty in it is misplaced.
