People need to stop justifying this sh*t with "It's free content!"

No. It isn't. It's overpriced content. The only difference is the cash is ingame, not in real life. Yes, some of us are rich enough to afford it without batting an eye. But those who aren't are feeling the rough edge of it. But no, forget those people, it's free content!!

Imagine how boring GTA would be if every update just gave every item to everyone.. you'd never find associates, businesses would be useless and there'd be no reward for playing?

I feel I'm the only one who wouldn't mind another racing dlc lmao. I'd prefer street racing though, maybe something like what NFS Hot pursuit had where one team was the racers and the other team is the cops.

You're not alone, at all. I'm on the opposite end myself, I feel like the only one who see more racing as offering something we already have in abundance

i think its coming the 20th. Reasons being is because qabeta is still being updated, and the fact that we having heard dick about the update.

IMO, it's coming on the 13th.

 

The only thing up for debate is when they will announce it.

 

If it's not announced by 1pm ET (22 min from now) then it will be announced tomorrow.

I obviously do not wish to give false hopes to anybody, but I believe it would be incorrect to assume that there's "definitively" not going to be released anything today. As I said before, the time of the "news drop" hasn't always been consistent in the past and Gunrunning's announcement came out much later than the others.

out of curiousity, does anyone has historical info on the time between qabeta2 -> qabeta -> public

I wonder if this will present us with a somewhat stable pattern regarding the time they take for tests, the time to public release and perhaps the size of the update.

On steam i just see the most recent update, but perhaps someone has access to historical records.

 

OT: everybody seems to think the dlc will be small because there's no announcement today, but maybe they just need the extra time because the dlc is enormous? Who knows

It may be free content but it is not accessible without either spending real money on cash cards or grinding for many hours and time is money. You pay one way or another.

 

so wait, you're telling me I can choose what I spend my time doing? playing a game, SP or MP, w/ or w/o microtransactions, is a choice I make for leisure, whether I spent that time grinding or just effing off it was all leisure. I don't look at playing a game as time I could be making money, because I have already allotted time for that, game time is leisure time, therefore the time is money argument is facile.

i'd love a doomsday heist+import export mashup update. import export had some fun vehicles which weren't that op + some cool cars, and doomsday heist was a heist (duh).

 

at the rate we're getting some fan-requested vehicles, a heist featuring some especially expensive fan favorites doesn't sound as farfetched as it did a year or two ago.

So I was just thinking about this, the tartan=Scottish livery was released rockstar referenced The Hunt for Red October which is a movie about submarines and the main actor is Sean Connery= Scottish in a newswire, just throwing this out there possibly a sick way for R* to hint a naval DLC. Just a thought I had.

Woah; OK--rare indeed! Been playing for over four years now, and never run into that before.

 

And many times I've literally held the LSPD/NOOSE at bay with a five-star wanted level for well over half an hour (up in the Alta St. construction building). lol They usually just give up--choppers just fly off and you lose your wanted level.

it triggers after a specific time has passed. but it is a very rare thing. sometimes it doesn't happen at all.

Not to give false hope, but we have had DLC reveals pretty late in the day before. Gun Running was revealed very late into the day. The same may happen here.
