first, it's free content mate, second, most March content is light, third, get over it.

 

First, it's not free content because we need to purchase GTA V and slave hours to afford just a couple of things, "mate". Second, people are tired of rehashed content, and it's evident that Rockstar will keep on adding new content that actually interests people because of how lucrative 2017 was Shark Card sales-wise.

relax bro, I totally agree, as my OT thought was that we will see a freaking map expansion soon. I was just pointing out that it is ridiculous to complain about free content, and it is free, GTAV costs $60 and comes with GTAO for free, Shark Cards are optional, and the argument about time is BS cos all games take time and even grindier ones take time and cost a monthly fee.

Wasn't the DDH trailer released on a Friday? I remember refreshing the R* Newswire post that Thursday just to realise it wasn't going to be released.

 

I wish they'd leave little hints or riddles on their Twitter account.

No. It isn't. It's overpriced content. The only difference is the cash is ingame, not in real life. Yes, some of us are rich enough to afford it without batting an eye. But those who aren't are feeling the rough edge of it. But no, forget those people, it's free content!!

No, the ridiculous thing here is to still rant about how we aren't allowed to criticize Rockstar for anything because "free DLC".

 

The DLCs are free to download, not free to access and play. That was the case back when DLC vehicles were useable and purchasable in Singleplayer, but once old-gen was dropped and we got barred from testing and customizing vehicles in GTA V, the updates stopped being free because you had to trade in time to afford any overpriced sh*t. There's a reason why the phrase "Time is money" exists, so you cannot refer to any argument you can't counter as "bullsh*t" if you want to be taken seriously.

 

Shark cards are optional to purchase, but the updates are ultimately geared towards the milking of shark card sales now. The majority of the GTA community is tired from memecars and PvP, yet we still got oversaturated with both of these things because the minority of whales (the people who splerg hundreds of dollars on Microtransactions) keep demanding them. Shark cards have ultimately ruined the quality of this game, so I disagree, shark cards still personally affect the diehard fans and those who do not purchase shark cards.

 

A lot of other major games are as horrid as GTA V when it comes to microtransaction milking, so any arguments I have made here also apply to those games. However, there are exceptions, and do you know what those exceptions are? Amazing singleplayer games that still deliver full experiences and STILL get amazing sales to this day, and those games can range from the Witcher 3 to Horizon Zero Dawn and even to Skyrim. Bethesda may have milked porting Skyrim a dozen times, but at least its ports are amazingly optimizied and always have the full content. You just pay for the game, and that is it. All the content is accessible with some gameplay in an immersive world without having to worry about ANY grinding or lootboxes, unlike GTA Online and Call of Duty WWII.

 

Also, the monthly fee is for Sony and Microsoft for servers and protection from hackers. Rockstar could have used Valve's Anti-Cheat to protect the PC port of GTA V or made the port friendly to Singleplayer modders, but nope, the platform is a cesspool of hackers and is painfully inconvenient to mod, as compared to Skyrim.

 

 

 

 

wow, the only thing I am going to touch on, because the whole thing is just wrong, is that last bit, I was not referring to Sony or MS about the monthly fee, but the most grindy game of all WOW, which not only has an monthly fee, but every update consts money, and talk about time, whoo. one other thing, I am not at all saying you can't criticize a game publisher/developer, I was remarking how absurd it is to bang one's head against the wall in disappointment because the game they love didn't do what they wanted, again for free, cos you know, you could be playing WOW.

True, but they have seemed to find a sweet spot of releasing a trailer on Thursday and teasing the content all weekend long to build hype.

With that said, some of you guys are awfully quick to flip-flop your expectations. If Rockstar's media team is in New York, then we've still got a good three-to-five hours of potential media drop. Chillax, take your lunch, step away from the phone or computer. You shouldn't be hinging your entire day upon the could-or-couldn't of a newswire post, even if it's eating you up inside.
