Midnight club is plausible, going by rockstars throwbacks to the past.

 

Property could be a car storage with mod shop/chop shop, fast and furious sort of stuff, another theme rockstar love.

Theyre not working on multiple updates at the same time. I dont think you guys understand how dev studios operate. If they encountered a problem that is so big that they have to delay an update, then you wont get something similar instead. It is simple as that. They might take a couple of cars that were supposed to get released with hipsters 2 and give them to us dec 12, but if Yan really meant to tell us that hipsters 2 is delayed, then prepare for massive disappointment.

 

It doesent matter if december is "too important for them". They clearly planned to do something big, but if they cant, then they cant.

I don't think you know how a development studio works, they are almost always working on more than one thing at a time, that doesn't mean all the projects are in the same stage of development at the same time, my point was they may have to mix and match from the planned update and a future update, there is always a future roadmap, you think GR and SR wasn't being worked on at the same time? hell the hunter may have been planned for GR but things change

Well they have to fix the paint menu at some stage, it's been broken and sh*t for almost 4 years . It's going to be expensive to repaint a couple hundred cars when it happens.

If the next DLC is potentially​ being delayed, let's hope that R* releases some fixes on the 12th, like giving us the limitless creator that they must have used to make the latest Transform Races. Because the creator that they released on Tuesday is a fking mess with memory limitations smaller than the IQ of an average Oppressor user.

This is my speculation on what a 'tuners' DLC would be.

 

Title: midnight club (going by the previous smugglers run)

 

Vehicles:yes.. Weaponised, but in a small quantity, the rest would be a mix of old, new, Japanese, European, American, muscle, ricer, drift whatever.

 

Property: a garage of some sort, a place to store and customise personal vehicles with unique customisation, also a base for your business

 

Supplies would be car parts/whole cars. Take them to your business, it makes the product for you (a car) and then you sell.

 

Sure there would be racing of some sort involved, but main element would be deeper customisation of cars, or a re-skinned Bennys.

 

That's my vision of a tuners update, and it seems like reasonable speculation.

 

Is that what you guys had in mind?

I've been keeping an eye on that and not as of yet. But him not liking them until now or at all can be attributed to many reasons so it probably shouldn't be seen as a viable indicator.

 

I've been looking for other meanings for the letters but nothing as concise as what was suggested before has shown up...

Or you could collect parts for you cars (kinda like how the research for gunrunning works) in crates and you deliver them back to your warehouse/garage and you can upgrade your car will the items in the crate

Uhm, you do realize that if Hipster 2 is on hold, that most likely means that its going to be a >small< update, with a couple of new vehicles and nothing major.

If they encountered issues with Hipster pt2 and had to put it on hold, then they wont have a large replacement ready. This means that this is going to be a really small thing.

 

Considering how long R* spent on Cunning Stunts (IIRC, people found the first details about stunt races around the time of Ill-Gotten Gains, nearly a year before) - or how the cars for both Lowriders updates were found at once, but half released many months later - it's perfectly fair to assume that R* might just have been working on several things concurrently, and for whatever reason, decided to change the release order.

 

I have three possible ideas as to how this might play out - and they're increasingly frustrating:

 

1. We do indeed get INAH 2 next, and it's all good. That's probably the best outcome, since it's a nice, broad-scope update full of eclectic things. That also means that R* can just shove in something weaponised as a drip-fed vehicle, and it'll just add to the variety.

 

2. Something like a tuner/custom car update - which ...ehh. It's my #1 request, don't get me wrong - and vehicle design/quality is probably the best it's ever been, so now's as good a time as any to put those kinds of vehicles in (a Supra or 300ZX, designed with the same level of care as the Rapid GT Classic or Nokota - holy...). But then there's the weaponised stuff to deal with, and ...eh, I'm not happy about a decent car-enthusiast update being diluted by more of that nonsense. And I don't have the confidence in R*'s current gameplay design philosophy to assume they wouldn't just make a tuner-themed business an extension of CEOs and MCs (because sure, that makes sense... ).

 

3. R* has a bunch more weaponised things and supers lying around, or for whatever other reason put out a 'Gunrunning 3' (possibly indeed deciding to cash in on the water-based spin-off rumours). Cue more overpriced things that would have been Pegasus vehicles back in the day (and therefore side attractions, not the bulk of the update), barely any structured gameplay other than recycling the same 'gopher' model we've had all year (so no PvE), and yet more players leaving in droves out of boredom and frustration...
